Another way to do the footwork for the arms spin is also something called a back step. Just another variation that helps you get your hips through. Anyways love the vids man keep em up,

Big fan of the channel. This year was my son's first year of wrestling here in CA. He is a strong kid but he relys too much on that and has been beaten by kids not as strong but with better technique. He is 6. What beginner moves (ground or standing) would you recommend I work with him over the off-season to better prep him for next year? Keep the videos flowing, we love watching them.
I appreciate it! I’d say especially for little kids, front head lock moves like a head in the hole or a cow catcher, for nutral I would say using fakes or arm drags - I thought one little one arm drags and he was doing great with them

For the bonus throw, if you miss you chance to wrap your feet around the opponents neck is there a higher chance that you can get pinned if he or she pushes you when your on your hands.

My wreslting season is barely about to start here in California
move number five was the first throw that I learned in judo (btw if you want to improve on Greco definitely try judo)
Make sense since freestyle and folkstyle wrestling evolved from catch wrestling. Which was HEAVILY influenced by the japanese. Like Yukio Tani a japanese jujitsu guy. One of the first carnival wrestler in the UK. And submission based catch wrestling ( not amateur catch wrestling) was started in carnival. Originally catch wrestling didn't have submission. Although before catch wrestling there was Lancashire up and down fighting which DID have submission. But it was banned in 1820 because of $eath. Then later Yukio Tani BROUGHT BACK submission to catch wrestling. And you want proof that amateur wrestling was influenced by catch wrestling. Look up 1937 NCAA wrestling on TH-cam by Chadi a judoka and bjj blue belt.
And yes Greco Roman wrestling was ALSO born in the carnival. Jean Exbrayat the real founder of Greco Roman wrestling performed his "flat hand wrestling" in FAIRS( carnival). And in the old days there was also professional Greco Roman wrestling. Real Greco wrestling was called Pale and it DID have submission.

my best move in highschool was a lateral drop and i definitely wouldnt throw it like that haha. If you step across on a good guy you going to bounce your feet off the ceiling. almost gota fall back into it and hit it from spots where they dont expect it like scrambles after takedowns.
Crosby! Your back and chest ARE probably getting more muscular, because you're showing them off more. Don't wear a shirt at all, and your torso will develop even faster!
