I am hearing that although coding can help kids learn to read, some of the heavy based phonics programs inhibit a child’s ability to comprehend what they are reading. Would a better approach be to balance these two methods?
My sister tutors children with dyslexia and reading disabilities. I am dyslexic myself, and it hurts a child's self-confidence in the classroom. I am so proud of them and pray that they help these children become excellent readers. Thank you for bringing attention to this important issue. ❤eM
Science based reading has to be taught with fidelity otherwise it won't be successful for dyslexic students. Thank you IMSE for your work!
