The crocks are amazing. You are showing a lot of beginners how to get it right the first time. And if we don't get it right, we have seen you fix the problem. And then we don't get discouraged and toss it all!
Oh Yvonne, all of these are so lovey! I am amazed at how well you apply the stamps. They trip me up now and again. As always dear one, thank you for sharing your creative talent. Hope you guys have a lovely weekend. 💕
I LOVE thrift flips! You always do great work! I especially like the smalls! Thank you for all your tips and tricks! I have SO many thrifts! Now to get them organized! And start doing them! I love your channel! You have special gifts!
Quick tip for you if you don't mind! After you stamp your stamp with ink then "huff" on it! That means hold it up to your mouth exhale on the inked stamp and then stamp!!! It works every time! It gives a good clear imprint,
Love the stamped crocks. If it doesn't have to be black underneath, Walmart sells 98 cent spray primer in gray. It covered better than the paint they sell in that brand and it would save money on those.
If you want something to stamp on, instead of using your nice Cricut mat, get one of those cheap plastic placemats at the Dollar Tree. They have many pretty designs and they even have 2 packs that are plain & semi clear. I must say, you're making it hard to resist getting those IOD crockery stamps! Your pieces turned out so cool!
Those stamps on the crocks are really nice. You asked what we, your audience, use to base coat glas or ceramic. I use Rustoleum Universal Bonding Primer. It has to be used outside because it STINKS. But, the smell is gone as soon as it's dry. It is great for keeping paint on slick surfaces. I also use Tester's paint on glass. Talk about being paranoid...yes, I am. LOL! And I use rice paper instead of tissue paper for decoupage. It's just a personal choice. I showed my husband your brilliant idea of using lint rollers to keep things from rolling. He went out and bought lint rollers. Thank you!
Thank you, thank you, thank you for all the new tips; tissue paper, alcohol, painting tips. Will save me so much time and work in the future! I love these pieces. Hope I can find some for my own house.
Wow Yvonne! You really turned out a lot of pieces in this video!! I love them all! I'm especially fond of the crocks, but the canister set was beautiful as well. And the canvas pieces were beautiful as well! I love the new stamps that you found! Great job on all!!
Oh I forgot to say this, instead of spray chalk paint on those colorful items just use Rustoleum flat white spray. It sticks great and covers as good as the black, it is amazing.
I want to thank you! I had asked you this past week how I should paint a couple hard plastic vases for Easter flower bouquets for our church and I did what you told me and they came out beautiful!
Canisters r awesome, I think that was originally Corning wear set.. mixing baking soda in your paint, I bought a mixer from thrift store, plastic bowl, that's how I mix mine..your work is spectacular.
Love all of these flips Yvonne and Chris! Absolutely gorgeous as usual, wouldn’t expect anything different from you two! Don’t you just love printing or stamping on tissue paper? It’s a game changer for sure! 😍😀
Great save on the canvas sheep stamp! You sound like me- it was only a $1, but that's a dollar I spent, could've saved, and a nice little canvas I don't want to throw away! lol. If it didn't work out, I'd probably have painted the canvas and used it for something else. I save EVERYTHING I can. Especially money and craft supplies. lol. I like the lint roller hack. That's gonna come in handy! I really love all of your flips. I don't comment much, because I could talk about every item you do and I'd be here all night. But I do LIKE all of your videos that I see. You're great girl. And inspire me with lots of ideas. TY!
These canisters are awesome. I love the tissue paper method. It gets into every crevice on the canisters. I like that you pour your glue out of the container so as not to contaminate your glue. I also do that. It saves glue and the paint brush doesn't get all messy and it's hard to get built up glue off of the hander of the paint brush
Once again, you hit it out of the park! I wouldn't mind having anyone of these pieces. Your the only one I know that can make a big pickle jar look great. Of course when I fill mine with pickled beets and eggs, it looks really nice. :) when stenciling on paper to place on an item, I prefer to use deli paper over tissue paper. Tissue paper can get overly saturated and tear when brushing over it. The deli paper is sturdier. The deli paper comes in boxes of 500 sheets that will last forever. One side is more mat than the other. I stamp on the mat side. Either side will work. The paper all but disappears when glued down. And I would recommend using glue on the item where you are placing the stamped image and also then on top of the image for either deli paper or tissue paper. The deli has another great purpose too. I keep some next to my microwave. It's great for covering plates and bowls when heating up food. Really keeps splatters down in the microwave.
When doing the cement look on slick surfaces, I paint the item with chalk paint without the baking soda. Usually two coats. Next I stipple on the chalk paint and baking soda mixture. I seal with a spray poly acrylic. Then stamp and seal the stamp with poly. Last white wax and wipe back.
Love your new intro. Once again you turned trash into wonderful treasures. I always learn something new from your videos. I will be using your stamping on tissue paper technique. Thanks for sharing. I am looking forward to finally visiting your booth this week!!!!
great job, as usual. I have several items myself queued up for using the baking soda/paint mix then stamping. I think I will spray 'prime' them all first...seems to be a smart thing to do!
OMG! Each and everyone of these turned out AMAZING! This video has given me so much inspiration to create and recycle things I already have in my home. Yvonne, I hope you and Chris never get tired of doing these makeovers or videos! Each one makes me want to see more and more!!!
C'mon now, how can there be a favorite when they're all so beautiful! Seriously, I love them all. Try using rubbing alcohol to get the ink off of your mat, I think it will take it off. I have a sewing/cutting mat for cutting quilt squares and from time to time I get ink, among other things, on it and the alcohol always works. Really enjoyed this video after a long hard work day. Hope you have a fantastic week! xx
You did a great job I love your new stencils and have found that stays on ThinkPad the best while working with your cannabis you need a flat hard surface underneath it a book or a piece of wood that picks up problem. Thanks for sharing have a great weekend God bless
Hi Yvonne great haul and pieces to recreate with your special way I've been looking for a all white canister set thanks for sharing Prayers Blessings to you and Chris and both of your families Hugs Mildred! Tell your helpers thanks for helping"
That canister set is awesome, as is everything else you painted. Today when I took a little bench outside to spray paint, a voice inside my head said to turn it upside down and start with the bottom like Yvonne does! 😂😂
@@GingerChickRehab I ended up washing the tray in hot water and getting the concrete look off it... I have painted some bowls and trays in white spray paint and sealed them and distressed them and they look wonderful. Good to try new things though eh?
Loved everything! I do so love the stamps and transfers you select! Thank you for sharing the sources. I'll bet all the items from this video won't be in your booths for long!
I have been having so much fun with my crockery stamps. I’ve also been decoupaging Easter decor with dollar tree napkins. Then to top it all off my hubby gave me a Cricut for our anniversary. Nothing in my house is safe from recycle!!!
That last part made me giggle. My mister banned me from following a gentleman with a trailer full of antiques yesterday! I have a 40 x 30 barn full of goodies and no there not safe after watching Yvonne here. Lol
Great job on all the redos. The stamps always turn out awesome. Glad you saved the sheep and love the way you aged them. I the the little bird is my fav, really getting into them since seeing you paint them, going to be on the lookout for them when I thrift.
I lived what you've done. Great ideas. Love using my crockery stamps and am definitely going to try the tissue paper technique. I did see someone use the tissue paper with the stamps. She clear sprays the tissue after stamping to give it a little more substance before Mod Podging.
Absolutely loved everything! Those crockery stamps are sold out everywhere I have looked lately. I bet your items bring good money because they look perfect each and every one.
Wow .....great finds🤩 Of course you gave them all beautiful new life....I love to watch you work ( if you saw how much I have)...I shouldn’t be watching I should be working on them...lol😂 Thank you for your continued inspiration....just love your channel❣️ Thank you for sharing 😊kim oh love the sheep and cow canvas and of course the crocks.....oh almost forgot🙈 here is a tip for when you are alone and stamping round items....put your pointer finger of your non- dominant hand right in the center of the stamp them use you dominate hand to tickle ( that’s what IOD sisters say...cute....) but lightly tap your fingers over the rest of the stamp....hope that helps😊
Yvonne, those canvas's are a dollar tree item, in the crafters square section. I love how they turned out and my decor is def not farmhouse! Your finished items are always just spectacular.
Before using the baking soda/paint method I use a cheap black spray paint first & it has never bled through on me. I always clear coat each project when finished painting.
FANTASTIC video!!!! I have the same stamps and was not having luck at all placing the stamps on some crocks....The tissue paper idea is the trick:) Thanks soooooo much for sharing, every flip you do is just full of caring for the items you resell and I love that... and have a blessed day.

More classy items. Live them all. Nice to have a bit of help now and then.

I love how it all turned .Amazing.
You have been a busy girl!! Wow!! So cute!!
I love how the crocks turned out! I am going to do that to my old 80's crocks! 💖
You are so inspiring to watch. Loved seeing you use tissue paper for your rubber stamps. I will definitely try this. Thanks for sharing your work!!!

Yes, you inspired me to look thrift store items to create decor! Great stuff.
You have been watching Julie! I did the baking soda thing too! On a tray! Love all the stampy things, and how the pots turned into crocks! Lovely.
Oh.. I love her trays. Not sure if they’d sell for me or not.
