    Hey Lex amazing video! Actually i wanted to ask you something: in our company we have enterprise and midmarket leads taken from sales team so that in that case they will define wheter the lead is a SQL or not. But for the small businesses we don't have a sales executive contacting with them, so how we can define in hubspot when they are a SQL? The idea is to have them to move to SQL stage "automatically" once a particular event happens.

      Hi Gianluca, thanks for watching and great question!
      You can create a custom workflow to handle the process you described above. This video walks through an example to setup trigger criteria and then set the contact to be an SQL.

    Hello Lex - Thanks for this great setup and video! Question -- what do you do if you have an MQL who then becomes lost/never moves forward? What happens to their lifecycle stage?

    • @LexHultquist
      @LexHultquist  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Cristina, thanks for watching!
      In the scenario that you described, we would typically keep the lifecycle stage as MQL (since they have been deemed marketing qualified based on their demographics and / or actions), and then set a status of something like "recycle" or "dead" or "return to marketing nurture." Then you can run campaigns for MQLs that are recycled with slightly different messaging than say an Opportunity that didn't close, and also found its way back to recycled.

      @@LexHultquist That makes a lot of sense and I see why it would be important to keep the MQL status. Thank you for the quick reply and for your incredibly helpful videos!

    Hi Lex, thanks for this video, its very helpful indeed in showing the different stages and how the lead status and automation relates to them.
    We're just trying out hubspot and I have attempted to edit the lifecycle property to have these stages (they seem to make a lot of sense) however it seems that you cannot update the 'Lifecycle stage' within hubspot because presumably this is used in some of their reporting etc.
    Does this mean I need to setup a custom property within hubspot to use a blueprint workflow like the above?

    • @LexHultquist

      Hello, thanks for your question!
      Yes, you are correct, we would create and use a custom property based on these examples.
