year 7 is no sweat an you'll get used to it easily! tips: -bring at least 2x pencils and 3pens and a ruler and any other stationery you think u need -stick with ur old friends (if you have any from primary at ur new school) -dont be afraid to introduce yourself to anyone new (its the best decision i made in yr7) -focus in class and turn in hmw on time and you will be on the teachers good side, and they wont give u a hard time in class -a lot of self study helps :) -stay close to your parents as they're always on your side -keep away from drama and if anyone brings it to u in one ear out the other Wishing you the best for yr7 and im fresh out of year 7 so hopefully these tips are up to date!

How so? The grade boundaries were slightly lower this year. History was worse because to get a 9 you could only lose 20 marks (148/168) between 3 papers and 5 topics (Germany, Medicine, WW1, American West, Elizabethan). Geography you could lose 63 marks and STILL get a 9

The top 30% will receive the top grades even if the mark is low. (Personally, i feel as though the 2025 exams will be easier. I'd say get used to asking questions and find your study style, there's many videos on how to study for specific subjects that really help me. I heard somewhere that studying is a skill so do get some practice this year. One thing I wish I did earlier was work on my weaker subjects like english cause I can do them but it's a struggle!Make sure you actually understand everything you learn, but don't forget to memorize too since I heard test markers are really strict about wording or meanings!! Don't know how GCSEs work but I'm doing the Scottish equivalent next spring and so far for class tests this has helped me!! Don't stress too much right now and good luck💗
Just make sure to do all your homework and revise on each topic you do in class by watching videos on TH-cam about it and make notes and flashcards. Don’t fall back and keep working hard even if others aren’t because they will fail.
My school made us do 2 mandatory languages Spanish and Mandarin from year 7 then in year 9 your meant to choose which one you preferred and there wasn’t enough space to put me in spanish even though I kept asking my teacher if I could move. It was fine though and I passed. 😭
Well it’s almost Christmas, meaning it’s nearly halfway there. I’m scared shitless for science. I’m predicted 7 in English, history, and Art. Level 2 in Engineering (Grade 4-6), 5 for Maths, and 3-4 for combined science 😂
you will be fine , this is ur last year that u can enjoy the most! just make sure you revise and learn the content so in year 10 and year 11 you can have more time to just practice
