    Great video, you two! For those windy days on that property you need to install aircraft carrier style Flight Deck padeyes and use tie down chains and that burrito will never move.

      Thanks for watching Michael! Not a bad idea, especially for hurricane season. Now we just have to figure out where to secure those padeyes on our pad… add it to the project list!

      @@ALittleBitUnhitched for an F-14 NATOPS requires 20 tie downs for heavy weather. Only 14 for permanent parking during normal weather. Now you got to figure out which one of you is going to be the Plane Captain for that Burrito. 🤣

      If the duties of a Plane Captain does not come to mind, look up "Navy Plane Captain tiedowns".

      Who needs a gym membership when you can just carry big metal chains around all day? We will flip a coin for the title tonight. Lots riding on this 😂

    I just discovered your channel. Actually I was trying to find out how your Tundra did with MPG and pulling your trailer, and then watched a few more. You guys have a very positive, concise, and informative style, and your information is obviously derived from first hand experience. I'm at an age now where I doubt I'd do FT RVing, but I am considering some extended trips and your advice and experience are helpful.
    I hope always live together like you're living in 300sf, even if you're in a mansion!

      Thanks for the kind words and so glad that you found our channel! Our goal is always to provide first hand experience as we have been doing this now for almost 4 years! Stick around, some good stuff coming soon!

    Great advice for strengthening relationships! Funny thing…. My wife thinks I’m strange for brushing my teeth in the shower in the mornings… I call it efficient use of time. Celebrating 30yrs together

    Sorry for commenting on another video. My wife and I noticed you switched the battery to store mode. Is that required on travel days? We usually leave the batteries on for the fridge.

    • @ALittleBitUnhitched
      @ALittleBitUnhitched  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not a problem at all John! Great question. We know lots of people who do travel with their propane open to operate their fridge. Obviously the battery disconnect would need to be in the “use” mode for this. We are always extra cautious and transfer our cold food to a cooler when we are traveling to avoid having an open propane tank. Just a decision we’ve made for safety reasons.
      So to answer your question. It’s not a requirement to have it in the “store” position. Lots of people leave it on. Just know the risks. ✊Comment anytime John. We love the dialogue!

      We just googled it and apparently the average is every 3-5 days. Looks like we are just under performers… or maybe we just “maximize the utilization of other facilities” 🤷‍♀️ 🤷‍♂️

    Do you really put the battery in store mode when you travel? This would prevent the batteries from being charged as you drive.

    • @ALittleBitUnhitched
      @ALittleBitUnhitched  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Greg! Thanks for the great question. We actually DO put it in store mode because the battery will in fact charge from the 7-way cord regardless of the disconnect switch position. This may be different between makes, models, and years so just check your owners manual to verify.

    • @greghanson5864
      @greghanson5864 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ALittleBitUnhitched A ha! Double checked and you are correct! We do leave our refrigerator running in auto mode while traveling so putting it in store mode would not work for the fridge because it needs the 12 volt for the igniter. So thanks for that! Learned something new!

      @@ALittleBitUnhitched My 2022 FC also charges when in battery store mode, (by way of the 7plug and solar) it just doesn't deplete. We do not use that function when driving through, only for long term storage.
