kayaked this today on a much less suitable kayak. went under going west at slack (tho i thought it was before slack) and then 1 hr later it was like fighting a river to try to go back east under the bridge. had to bail and beach it. was kinda scary! getting spun in a kayak is harrowing!
I’ve walked across this bridge on a number of occasions . The view from the bridge at sunset is one you’ll never forget. This shows the power water has when it comes in under the bridge. We take our travel trailer to a spot just up the road . During the summer you can see and hear the fish being loaded on to a ship for transport . La Conner is not far from here , which is know for its tulips. Beautiful area. Thanks for sharing Nick Richard
Ah, I see. Aunt Mahedabell (from Bert & I fame) would have said, "yer too fer from the ocean!" She didn't much care for California for that very reason. :D Love your Mt. Desert Island vid. Hoping to be paddling around Machias Bay next summer. If I get a break from building the cabin.

It can get very rowdy in the pass if you don't time it right

Nice paddling
Beautiful boat. Went through once, slack tide tho ;)
I drove over pass last weekend. It appears you had a lot more fun.
Wow, 😮
i'm impressed, have been thru the pass several times, tho not at 6" altitude or on the edge.
It gotta feel pretty awesome going through something like that in a kayak you designed and built
It is a lot of fun.
Is that at Bucksport?
Camp Cossack Its near Anacortes, Washington
