This is so true.
Man this engine...it has some calming background noise but gets so aggressive and just satisfying in the upper rpms. Love it, also almost no wind noises, very nice :D

I have to tell you in reality it doesnt nearly sound as good as in this video. Schaaf puts his mic in his backpack probably next to the exhaust and some fabric around it, so that you only hear the deep frequencies. I own one and the sound in this video is (unfortunately) far from reality.
The 800R (first edition) was my first bike and I'm proud of it, lot of fun, safe, reliable and cheap! Now I own an 850GS because I've always wanted to be free to go everywhere on every terrain, but I'm sure the R legacy is in good hands with this 900R :)

The relaxed pace and minimum captions made this a meditation for me. Thank you, very refreshing! I wonder if the sound and excitement level could be turned up a bit simply by choosing a lower gear, therefore running at higher RPM. Very nice, but I still love my Speed Triple more, and enjoy your Speed Triple vids most of all.

I watch because of how these RAWs make me feel (especially in the winter) and because one can learn so much by just watching you ride (know I did). Your line selection is top notch. Hella fun, but also adjusted to public roads👌

I agree, nice lines , i myself see alot of your tecnique and style in the way i drive, currently finishing my ( first )learning curve in a g310r and already have my A license (in huge goldwing interstate) so im ready to embrace the f900r in a couple months.gr8 video.

I can see this as a next step up for someone who owned a MT 07. It's a crossplane crank twin, naked, but more premium, more power, but not too much. Very enticing

I love how elegant the power output is on BMW. The torque feels so smooth at every RPM. Can you confirm?

At last. Somebody shuts up and lets me hear the freakin' bike. Great video. Great sound recording. I'm really tempted to buy one of these. I run with a couple KTM 1290 Super Duke R guys, and they will scoff at the horsepower (which is like their bikes in rain mode perpetually). But how useful are their last 50 horses that come on so high in the rev range? This girl has it down low where it really counts for mortals. I can't wait to ride one.
well, a 1290 for example also has got it down low. And quite a bit more even ;) 100 horses are more than enough for the road. But the lazier you get, the more comfortable the extra power becomes I guess

It amazes me that you switch to 1st gear in some turns. I used to have a Kawa KLE and it was a no-no for that bike :)

I just bought this bike (partly thanks to this video). With the electr suspension and riding modes.
I noticed a big difference in the 1 person setting vs 1 person + luggage (much sharper and accurate steering (im 88 kgs)).
Will have to wait though. the factory is closed and sold my old bike already.😢
in the meantime ill be watching this 😅

I wonder how technically different the engine is from the Husqvarna Nuda 900R as the F900R uses the 270 deg crank employed on the Nuda. Many people probably don't know that bike exists as it is kind of rare but it was made under BMW ownership and had a modified BMW engine.

Great bike. If I just listen to the sound of engine without knowing or seeing the bike I would easily mistaken it for Ducati Monster.

I was gonna comment that the engine doesn't seem very exciting., then you wrote it. Great video and great review. The bike is nice but I'd rather take tre KTM Duke 890R or the Street Triple RS in the segment.

Have You ever rode 790DUKE? Is it more exiting bike? I’m about to buy F900R, and the lack of excitement You mentioned makes me scared, that it won’t be even close with FUNfactor to Duke. Tough choice. Could you compare them?

Geiles Video! Danke dafür. Nachdem du die f900r und die Z900 schon gefahren hast, was ist für dich subjektiv gesehen das bessere Motorrad. Bin grad dabei mir ein neues Motorrad auszusuchen. Wahl fiel auf die beiden. Muss für meine Entscheidung nur noch beide Probe fahren.
Ich würd die Z nehmen
Z900 ist bestellt 😉 sollte im April kommen

Eigentlich könnte ja die F900XR was für dich sein, wenn du schon einen Sportstourer suchst. Wobei der Aufpreis gegenüber der "Nackerten" schon immens ist. Preis/Leistung bei der hier ist aber für BMW Verhältnisse schon top. Aber die Konkurrenz schläft ja nicht gerade in der Preisklasse (Z900, Street Triple, MT09,..).
Geht sich mit 3000 Euro Budget nicht aus - wär aber eh nix für mich
So it offers a little threat to the MT-09 sales. :D

Mybe but probably not because mt09 is 3 cylinder 850cc bike where bimer has just 2 cylinders but idk exact cc but it kinda is more powerful and better mt07 imo

Because there is no 60fps option with Superview which is necessary for these videos
