Great series of vids, thank you! A couple questions - does the boar stay separate most of the time, or live and forage with the group? If you put weaners back with the group, will dad try to mate with the gilts or fight with the young males?
If you put any gilts back then they will be bred if there is no other males around. Idk how Mark does it completely for his set up. But what I do and what he has spoken about is to develop sounders. So keep the breedings sows with one boar. Then the weaners are taken to be castrated and grown on different fields or made into breeding replacements or sold.

How old are they when you breed them? What weigh to you shot for?
Are they all Mangalitsas? Did you shave them? I thought they have dreads! They look smooth...
They are, they tend to loose some of the long hair with the warmer weather we have here.
Gestation is 114 days, estrous cycle is every 21 days. The way to see if the sows are bred is if they're not coming back into heat again.
