DJI Mavic Pro Gimbal/ camera reset problem (20-09-2017)

  • Since a few months I have the DJI Mavic Pro Gimbal problem. DJI Support asked me to make a video of it showing the problem and recording the screen of the iPhone. I used the new screen recording software of my iPhone to record the screen. In the meanwhile, I made a movie to show the camera of the Mavic.
    I used the latest DJI mavic firmware from yesterday and also the new DJI GO app.

    I had the same problem and after reading many users comments i am pretty sure that the problem is the size of the sd card.
    64 gb cards causing the gimbal reset during flight probably due to exFAT . Try 16 or 32 gb .
    I am using the sd card 16gb that came my mavic and so far no problems.

    I have to dji mavic pro my mavic something problem with cameras continue the problem some time 12 second some times is 25 second record and turn off self maybe sending problem I do not knowing

      John Parker so sending in the drone won’t help?

      I allready have contact with DJI through Twitter. Problem is that they can't assure that I am receiving my own DJI Mavic back. I don't want my Mavic Replaced because I use the Drone commerical and have my drone registered by the Dutch Authorities. if I receive a new or different Drone back I can't use it for commercial proposed.....that's my dilemma of sending it in. I hope they can fix it with a Firmware update.

    I had the same problem, sent the drone to dji, they said it was a problem with the gimball control board, offered a free replacement and now they are sending it back. It seems to me that they are getting a lot of this enquires as the support agent knew instantly what it was and told me to send the drone.

      I had exactly the same issue, was your gimbal issue fixed after getting it back from DJI?

    Hi i have a brand new mavic pro about a month and i have this issue only when i use filter (polar pro cinema gold new series) or (neewer filter) until now this happens after 25 minutes (first battery..) and i m loosing camera control for a minute.. after that all its ok but it is too scary to fly far and to.be blind.. someone tells me.the 4k resolution is makes the camera hot ans the gimbal.and this is the main problem dp you agree,;

      No, because I also had it at 1080. It is randomly going wrong when starting the video or switch between photo and video.

      Collin Ernst understand in addition to tells me to make a calibration with the filter.. so yesterday i m was flighing with nd 16 with 3 baterries without any problem, and i was recorded with 4k all the time.. i dont now if i must to worry if any time my gimbal go crazy again.. i have already use my drone for 13.5 hour and this problem appear 4-5 times..

      Eventually again i had this issue.. i decide to fly without filter in order to see if the problem insist.. if not after 8-10 flights then i ll try to change my 64 micro sd card to 32 or 16gb..with the filter on!!

    I have still the same problem , even with the last firmware 04.0300 . :(

      My Mavic was replaced for this issue but now with the new one I have te same problem again. Think it has to do with the bad and fragile construction of the gimball and the cable attached to it.

      During the winter I made several flights without problem. But now, during the warm days, I got restart almost every flight. Is seems to be some hardware overheating problem maybe.

      hi i think your problem may is not the drone.. i have already read the problem caused from 64 sd cards and the EXFAT format. I have install 64gb card now but with FAT32 format. i hope with this way to fix this issue.

    I updated the new firmware today and it is not fixed. I think it has something to do with firmware. Hear from some people that they still have the problem after sending tot DJI

      Why do you have 4 mavics? Do you use them for business?

      My Mavic Pro Platinum has exactly the same issue, what's your SD card size? I've ruled out that it is temperature, wind or battery related. Just trying to figure if it is SD card related.

      I have the same problem with my mavic pro platinum too. My SD card is a 64GB.

      After you got back the Mavic that was sent to DJI, was the problem fixed? I'm still not sure whether to send mine back to DJI.
