Finally I've had a chance to test these beautiful motors and the opportunity was made even sweeter by being able to do it aboard a boat that was specifically designed for these motors! The ZAR Imagine 130 is one serious maxi RIB and in this video i put her through her paces and share my discoveries with you.

G'day Mark it really does move hey! This ZAR was great to test as it was specifically designed for these motors so everything just works! My mind is also racing with other possibilities these engines now bring to our boat life. I can think of lots of cool new ideas to pair with these motors.

No I’m not 100% sure so check factory specs in case I’m wrong. I was listening carefully at the press conference but I’ve been on a lot of boats this week so could be wrong.

The formula boat 500 SPC has got four of those v12 on the back end and when it goes in to the second gear it saves fuel ?

G'day Rob, so apparently the fuel flow meter on my test for this boat was not calibrated and showing innacurate fuel data so yes you may be correct on this. Also makes sense given the boat would be up to speed and in second gear.
