Great video and info Cheyne! I can't really think of another channel where "tool" watches are actually taken out in the wild and tested such a cool idea and wonderful experiment. I guess Hodinkee does the "week on the wrist" but that hardly comes to comparison with your approach. Only a 10pt loss for the Tudor compared to a watch that costs $5,425 more....that's quite a value and a gorgeous picture. I may have to see if I have a wall free for this new beautiful photograph! Great job Cheyne well done my friend!
Cheers thank you Tom. Yeah I think I'm in the unique position of already being out in the wilderness and traveling the majority of the year. Might as well test out some cool watches.
Great review. I also own the Blackbay Pro watch, but also love the Explorer II. So was very interested with your comparison. Keep up the good work, cheers!
You've reminded me to wear my ExpII more often. I bought it with the intention of wearing it regularly and to avoid babying it. Had it a few years now and barely a mark on it 😮💨
Yeah, get the Explorer II back into the rotation and add some scratches and dents to it. I think its a better looking watch when its a bit beat up. Cheers
Hey Cheney Love your chanel. I have one question, why did you chose the polar over the black dial variant? I recently acquired the black dial and love the more understated look😀 Keep up the good work👏🏼
Thank you for that. I went with the polar dial for easier legibility in darker situations. I like the look of the black dial, but similar to my Submariner the dial is a bit more difficult to use as a timer when I'm photographing in those golden hour times of just before sunrise and just after sunset. Cheers.
Great video, I’m excited to see what you’ll discover next! I could totally see you wearing Omega’s Railmaster, that’s the watch I use for my outdoor photography :)
Honestly love this series, agree with the other comments there’s hardly any content creators who actually use these watches for what they’re made for! Would love to see some sub $1000 or even sub $500 watches to see how they do. Explore 2 seems to be the well deserved king in this field.
Thank you for that. Yes, we have plans for some sub $1,000 & $500 watches in the near future, I'm very much looking forward to testing those out. Cheers
Hi Cheyne, I thought this would be close as Tudors really are tough watches but the Rolex would always have the edge. Great video as always and this series of testing one watch against another should be fun One question though, what will you do if you find a watch that tops the explorer 2 change it or not?
Thank you Dale, Yeah should be a fun series. If there a watch that tops the Rolex Explorer II I'll keep both watches. The Tudor was a great watch and really it should of been a little closer, like I mentioned in the video, since its such a new watch it suffered with the more long-term categories. Maybe we will revisit it in a few years. Cheers
Dear Cheyne, cool video. Thank you! But the most interesting question for the future is: What do you think about the new white Speedy moonwatch? ;-) I say it on your wrist in this video. Will you compare this one to your polar in the future? Chears Jörg
Thank you, I think the new white dial Omega Speedmaster is stunning. That might be the next watch I test, will have to see tho. The Omega AD told me it might be a few months before I can purchase. Cheers
Great Review! I have the exact same 226570 polar and it was everything that I wanted and had waited for. I have been eyeing this Tudor as a potential gift for my Brother-In-Law as I cant obviously afford another Explorer II but these BB Pro's seem to come up used for around $2.7-$3.2 range and feel like it would be more of an appropriate price as a gift. I would go after one for myself if I didn't have the "Bigger Brother if you will" but I do appreciate your review and its given me more to consider. Thanks
Thank you. The Tudor Black Bay Pro would be perfect for your Brother in Law. It’s an amazing watch that shares the DNA of the magnificent Rolex Explorer II. Cheers
Hello , I have a question do you feel safe when travelling with a rolex? I'm thinking about buying explorer2 as my travel watch but im scared its going to be unfcomfortable to wear during travels
Not at all, I travel with my Rolex Explorer II all the time and have never had a problem. I think it the prefect traveling watch, it goes under the radar enough and doesn't look like an icon Rolex model. That all being said, There have been those few occasions I have made sure to cover it with a long sleeve in a "rough" area, but that had nothing to do with the fact that it was Rolex watch, would have done the same with an Apple watch or any type of watch. Cheers
I’m confused. You were going to giveaway this watch at first but an “issue” with the raffle caused you to not to do that so now you are selling it? Why not just start another raffle to give it away for free as you were previously going to. This whole situation is odd to me….
Yeah sorry for the confusion. We originally wanted to raffle it off, but there was a mistake in the paperwork and permission needed. So we just canceled the whole thing before anyone entered. Don't want to re-raffle it because it might bring forth again the previous mistakes, Would rather just start fresh on a new one. It was our first time trying this and we now know better for the next one. Sorry again for an confusion.
Thank you for that, If you're ever in the Southern California are be sure to come by our gallery. Great watches the Bb pro and Ranger. GMT coke is a beautiful timepiece. Cheers

Both watches are really good choice either way you go. Rolex is more expensive because of the longevity of the brand but the Tudor for me is better bang for your bucks. I will save my money to put it on to buy a datejust rolex 41 with jubilee bracelet.
My Explorer 40 has gained 9 seconds since the 28th January. Super watch.
Wow, incredible.

Great video, Love this idea of testing out different watches up against your Rolex explorer 2 and submariner. Awesome channel!!
Cheers, thanks Ian

A 100%, both are great watches and I enjoy wearing both. Cheers
Seiko Alpinist is also 200m water resistant but cant think of any others off the top of my head that can claim that.
Yeah, a pretty impress water resistant for a field watch. You are I right, I forgot about the Alpinist, another killer watch. Cheers
I would gravitate more towards Tudor because of that smaller case size although the AR coating is kind of a let down
As a small man should, I on the other hand gravitate towards the Rolex 42mm 💪🏽 it’s the real deal for real men size 6’3” ft tall fellas.
The sizing is good and fits my 7 inch wrist well. The AR coating or lack there of was a bit of a bummer. Cheers
No contest: Explorer II
The Tudor Black Bay is a great watch tho.
