-shapes -base -add shadows (airbrush) -tighten up the shadows -add specialty shadows (darker) -add light (new layer - soft light) -use a brush with hair strand style - use curves (play with curves) (ctrl + M) -new layer-overlay (soften shadows) -add color dodge!!! Ross-“Softly add shadows” Also Ross-*adds dark blue everywhere* Me- I thought you said softly add shadows •-• *edit* I’ve gotten a lot of comments telling me what he meant I know what he meant I do digital art I have been for years This was originally supposed to be a joke =~=
with "softly add shadows" he was referring to the type of shadow, hard shadow vs soft shadow, hence the soft brush. hard shadows are blocked in, rather than the gradient.

“I like more of chill cheese” Then you would love Colby cheese and cheese curds. They are not as sharp as cheddar which is what you would probably eat. Colby cheese was always my favorite because of this.
A big note is if you get stuck or need ideas for pretty hair shapes please don’t be scared of using references. Ross uses references for posing and faces, every big name artist needs references from time to time. Don’t worry about it.

I'd love to be able to make my hair grow at a certain length and control it as if it was an arm or leg so I could grab things or use it as a shield or whatever

Ghizlene I know what you mean, girl. I paint with my laptop and mouse. It would make things a lot easier if I had the right program and right tools. I do have a pen for touch screens and my laptop is touch screen, but touchscreen doesn't work with my Photoshop. You gotta work with what you have, though. 💕
@@leticusleviticus8514 I had the same problem with photoshop not working with my laptop touchscreen so I started using Krita. It does a lot of the same things as photoshop but is completely free and works with my laptop
@@Gondaro is krita good? I have a (very old) tablet and it might be easier to draw on instead of my phone, right?? My tablet is one of those old ones with no screen and you just follow the pointer. I'm used to it lol.
@@moonlight5017 After trying Krita it's now the program I use most. Photoshop still has more in the way of photo editing features and filters, but for drawing Krita works really well

It's all about skin tone and variation. Keep it relatively saturated and make sure to combine plenty of cool colors to the warm ones:)

I think he means use dark tones or just a darker version of the Color in general. Don't use black or gradients cause it will look rough, as Ross said.
