- While I was recently cleaning out my pack from the Rut and before I set off on another hunt I thought it would be a good idea to do a run down of what I carry with me for a hunt. I'd be interested to hear what pack contents other hunters carry but thought this may also help those starting out with what to prepare themselves with. I predominantly hunt state forests and these are my pack contents;

Nice video
I’d add a small compass as backup incase the phone fails and you need a general sense of direction to get back to the road.
That’s very true, my dad always carry’s one. I just hope between my phone and battery pack I’d be able to get out of trouble.
Good video mate. Very similar to what I carry for day hunts. I also nearly always have my banded ear plugs and also almost always forget to put them in before taking a shot. Haha.
Thanks mate, yeh they’re always on my head or neck just get caught up in the moment as usual haha
Good stuff mate. Got to have the good old muesli bars. Great source of energy in a pinch.
That’s it, apart from a sandwich and fruit if I’m out all day they stay in for a snack or if I get stuck.
@@wizkidadventures2 yep dried fruit also a good choice for hiking.
@@cavemankris a good addition for next time, thanks man.
Thanks mate
No worries, hoped it helped in some way.
@@wizkidadventures2 I was in the Army and packed out a lot of stuff but I am new to hunting so it's good to see what you pack out and why. Awesome videos mate. I love them.
@@vman4220 Thanks for the feedback, it makes it all worth the while.
Thank you for your pack contents, i wanted to ask what mapping app or hunting app do you use
No worries at all, I use Avenza with the NSW DPI state forest maps downloaded. Then also download offline google earth maps to overlay when I’m out of reception.
Thank you really appreciate your help@@wizkidadventures2
