This was a lot of fun. Thanks for showing so many creative ways to use up your junk. No worries on the bumbling. We are all bumblers at one time or another. That's what makes us human and relatable to each other. Hugs

I love everything you made today… just my style! 😊 the little vellum sack with the ballerina came from me with your thank you gifts… thrilled to see you use it. I adore that ballerina girl on it… speaks to my heart since I was a ballerina for 15 years until I blew out my knee and had to quit. 🩰💖🩰 fabulous job today! Big hugs! 🤗💖🤗

Gayle, I really love to see how you use textiles in your designs. I am fair to middlin' in how I create my books but one thing that stops me in my tracks is how to use lace and such on covers. Last year I made what I call my ESP book. It started out as an Easter book but I was so slow in finishing it, Easter turned into spring so it became my Easter/Spring book. But, I thought, the pandemic was raging as well, so the book became my Easter/Spring/Pandemic book otherwise know as the ESP book! LOLOLOL!!! Anyway, I used measured pieces of poster board glued together to make the shell of my cover. I found a great fabric on Etsy to use for the cover and an image I liked that expressed the theme of my book. Wanting to try out lace for the first time, I bought a collection of crocheted lace on Amazon. I then decorated the edges of random pages throughout the book as well as the side edge of the book cover with lace. In making the book, when I sewed in the signatures, the twine I used is visible on the spine. I don't like the look because my lines are not evenly spaced. So, I'd like to place some lace on the spine to cover up where I sewed in the signatures. When I went to use some lace lace items I bought at an estate sale, I was hopeless. No idea what to do. Would you consider making a video helping those of us who are not gifted in this part of making journals? Are there basic things to take into account when using lace? I am proud of the book I made but I am not proud of how the spine looks. I'd love to fix it and I think lace would be the way to go. Thank you so much for your consideration. And, as always, thank you for the wonderful amount of time you take to share your projects with us. You are a very kind lady.

You can always use matte gel medium to get anything to stick to glassine or baking paper! That stuff is amazing and such a great glue. It will even hold metal onto glassine.

You've had me giggling the past couple of days. 😄
The baking paper envelopes might be annoying to you, but the sound of them makes ME very happy! I'd like to see if sewing them is a workable option. I was also wondering about Score Tape....? I even have a little tape runner that is sold as "for vellum". I'm not sure that would work here either. I hope you don't toss them...they're so yummy!
Your creations today were really pretty!
Kiss-kiss, squeeze-squeeze! (🎶Oh what a relief it is!🎵😄) It WOULD be a relief to kiss & squeeze these days! Especially the grandbabies! 😘🤗👶
