*Fantastic* work J.C! 🙂👍 I really like how you're making it a dump bed. That's gunna be extremely handy! The wheels and tires look great as well. Take care and be safe 🔧🔩
The wheel/tire combo looks great and combined with the dump bed just makes it so much more useable and versatile ! Great video...can't wait to see it finished 👍👍
Great video! Just picked me up a 1997 minicab! Having some issues with it turning off after running about 10 minutes. Replace the fuel pump, and spark plugs. And it’s still not staying running for longer than 10 minutes.
you need to figure out if the ignition is shutting off or if the fuel is boiling and vapor locking. when it shuts off, check for spark immediately. also look down the carb and give it full throttle a few times. you should see fuel spraying.
Very nice wheel and tire up grade. Building a dump bed is a great idea . Since you have the majority of part's and knowledge to convert it. Really looking forward to the next video on this little project truck stay safe J.C.
Very nice upgrade on the welding machine JC 👍🏻😎🌟 Welcome to the century I’d just remember that to weld they used to use two batteries and two cables 🤔 Very impressive Your welding machine also pretty well explained your project 😎👌🏼 God Bless Both of You Guys 🙏🏻😇🙋🏻♂️
Like a mini dump truck! My 1991 F-super duty dump truck has folding sides and boy do they make things easier. The tires should hopefully help it get around better and being a dump will be handy.
Really like how those wheels look on that truck , and the craftsmanship you put into your work is amazing . And being precise with your work with something that don’t need to be , just makes that truck much better.
I think you are going to appreciate that winch. My tractor is an old aircraft tug that has an open rear differential. I have a small winch that I have just gotten the thing with both back wheels on firm ground again. I have never "buried" it thank goodness. I don't have much trouble now I have the backhoe on it. That keeps everything pretty well planted in the rear. That dump bed is going to look good and work awesome. Those lights are going to be nice too. I'm looking forward to seeing how you make the front panel. I know you aren't going to be happy with a plain flat plate all the way across...... LOL! Looks like a nice build, if you are doing it it will be 😎👍. Cheers Terry

Dear J.C. Smith projects family. 👍👌👏 Extremely well done again and as always (video and work). Maaan, I simply love to see you working on this tiny truck. I would love to own one myself (although I guess that I don't fit in the cabin). Of course it's a great idea to ad a dump bed, this will definitely come in handy. As always I love the fact, that you had all the material you needed for the modification "layin' around', even the hydraulic stuff! A good hoard is something I like too (especially nowadays). I had to grin because in my imagination the front of the truck lifted because of all the thick/heavy metal you welded on the rear of the "Missesmobil"! ;-) 😁 I really hope that you will not have problems because the new beasty looking tires are really wide. But if, I'm absolutely sure, that you will be able to solve the problem. I'm eagerly looking forward to watch the next part. Thanks a lot for making teaching explaining recording editing uploading and sharing. Best regards luck and health to all of you.

Good luck on your project..coming along well . Btw..did you check northern tool for a reservoir?
i found a reservoir. it was make only for maxxon lift gates. little pricey for a plastic tank but at least it is updated with a stronger collar. maybe this one wont crack in the same place.
Grin, usual shoddy workmanship JC I see 😁 in years time when the rest of the truck has rusted away, your work will be about the only thing left completely in tact ! Very impressive work. this is one of your better videos IMHO. can you build the homemade dump bed for less than buying the OEM dump bed? (Ive seen that option) ps: no chrome acorn nuts for the cool new wheels? could you maybe raise the whole cab to solve front wheel clearance & dump body line issues?
JC What about making a reservoir out of an old small air tank, kind of like how they do on a gravel truck, and you could top feed the pump you have and just make a plate with a feed and return drilled and nipples welded in the plate. Just a thought and then the tank won't dry rot and crack again.
This has been a really cool project so far! I really enjoyed the way you came up with a way to fabricate what you had on hand to make a dump bed. Looking forward to seeing the lift get installed. By the way I can’t remember what motor you said it had? It’s a little 4cyl isn’t it? Speaking of projects I just picked up an old 1988 F-250 7.3 IDI diesel for a whooping $700. Could you not just body lift the cab? No suspension mods required, and it would help keep the body lines for the box, allowing you to build the dump frame as you originally wanted to.
With all the metal and weight you are adding to that little you are going to have to do an LS engine swap to get the thing to move. I just love your work.
