I think it would be cool if Flarlics, once you get the 100 Pikmin Limit, increased the amount of Pikmin Species you can take out. Say you start with 3 like in 4, then that goes to 4, 5 etc.
I do think the 3 pikmin limit was a cool idea (if I didn't just use auto to pick my min for me)

Gimme respawning enemies in the overworld again. By the time I had gotten the purple onion, I could only use pellets because I had killed everything and the enemies in caves don't give you pikmin. It also made the overworld feel just empty.

1. Base building and constructing.
Another element to break up the tedium of just gathering things
e.g. have to build onions, a safe camp, walls, defense, ladders, more bridges, tools to solve puzzles etc...
Pikmin is an RTS overall.
2. Continuous gameplay. No more 15 minute stop and starts -
Just continues gameplay that transitions between day and night cycles.
Players can do the usual things during the day, but night time gets harder as more focus on defending and riskier getting important things only available at night and in caves.
Time pressures can be added in caves, defending a base or gathering/constructing certain things instead.
3. Increase the Pikmin pop cap to 200 -
Need this for the base building elements, bigger intricate maps and for full Co-Op.
I would love levels based around holidays like the Christmas level in Pikmin 3 but Halloween or Thanksgiving

I want Bulbmin, Mushroom Pikmin and Cave Expeditions, a side mode where you play as Olimar trying to find all 30 ship parts in 13-minute-long days, returning enemies like Armored Cannon Beetle, etc.
I'd like Pikmin 5 to have an open world to explore containing various areas like houses, gardens, playgrounds, markets, some snowy hill etc. And similarly to totk an open underworld that works like caves but they are all interconnected. Additionally the base to be able to be moved and a 24h day cycle with the option to remain inside the base until night or next morning.
Or something like a terraforming mission where you play on pnf 404 to collect Pikmin and resources and bring them to a new planet to be made habitable 😁

I was kinda thinking about how the pikmin variant limit could be reworked so as you progress, you are able to have more piksmins on the field. It starts with 1-3, then you find a Flarlic like collectable (Working name ‘Glower’. Pronounced gl-ow-er. First letter of Flower and Garlic swapped. Needs work lol) I’m thinking pikmin 5 will have 2 new types, with a total of 10 types usable on the field, and you would find 2 ‘Glower’ per area. Each one lets you use one more type of pikmin. Simple, but i think it works, as you are learning to ‘dandori’ throughout the game, and the mechanic would make people try to utilize it more since it’s already limited.

I don't lnow if this is a hot take but: bring Oatchi back. Or an equivalent mount. They only scratched the surface of how Oatchi platforming can be used for dungeons and multi tasking. Jumping over the final bosses attacks was just the start
I’ve recently played pikmin 4 and i loved it, but i felt as if it lacked a couple of things, one thing i really notice is like the value of rock and winged pikmin, i know there are glass walls and those enemies that chuck things in the air but its just kinda that, there isn’t much gimmick to them and its even worse for winged, because you can easily see from pikmin 3 how they’re utilized a lot when compared to pikmin 4, yeah carrying things over water is better but there isnt much more, like those plants they could pull up or bamboo gates. If they do decide to make pikmin 5 i just hope they make every pikmin have more moments of utilization. Oh also that stupid annoying auto lock, i can’t be the only one who gets annoyed at it
Here is all the stuff that should be in Pikmin 5
1.Playing as Olimar,Louie,Alph,Brittany,and Charlie:This would be cool since In pikmin 1 you can play as 1 captain but in pikmin 2 you can play as 2 captains and it’s the same with Pikmin 3 but with 3 captains but if you keep losing Pikmin then u can use Oatchi if you need to.
2.6 new Pikmin types:The first Pikmin type is the one that you thought of Raggins:The wood pikmin and I don’t need to discuss it because people should know what it does.The next one is the puffmin.They should bring it back since the puff stool did but with a new ability, after your Pikmin being sprayed with the spores from the puff stool and then being attacked and called by a captain, they will lie on the ground and wait until the puff stool dies.Once dead, the puffmin will be in your squad and they can resist that weird stuff from the Smokey progg and the other enemies that use that stuff, they should also become black in the next game.The next one is the green Pikmin, glow pikmin are also green but I think there should be a darker green Pikmin.These Pikmin have a thin triangular head that can poke through enemies making them able to do 0.9 more damage than normal pikmins strength, they are also innume to being poked just like rock pikmin.So Rock pikmin will not be able to resist being poked but they should get the ability to bounce all over the place which can stun a lot of enemies for 5 seconds.The 4th Pikmin type is the Orange Pikmin that can carry bombs like yellows did in the first game but they are able to resist explosions and can mimic other Pikmin but when they do that.They become a knock off version of that specific Pikmin.They are also weak but are strong when battling enemies that don’t eat Pikmin.The 5th one is the catapult Pikmin.These magenta Pikmin are useful when you can’t reach something using other Pikmin.Instead, they have a nest of Pikmin on their head with a long stem used to throw smaller Pikmin at the target.Each catapult Pikmin has five Pikmin in their nests and the little Pikmin are weak but one of the Pikmin in the nest is shiny and does more damage than the others.But if one dies all the other tiny Pikmin die, including the bigger Pikmin.The final type are the golden type.They can only be found after defeat a boss.It will give you five of them.They are strong and can become invisible.Also if you have an amiibo, that Pikmin will use the abilities the character has.
3.Cave and map creator:I don’t need to explain This because Raggins said it already and map creator is the same thing just with an entire map so yeah.
4.Leveling up Pikmin:I am a Plants VS Zombies player myself and after playing pvz2, I know that u can level up your plants which is exactly what I want in pikmin 5.It makes them better at what they are used for and the maxed level is 10.
5.An arena:You can go online and fight.You and your opponents team will spawn and use pikmin to fight each other.But you can also use items,do tournaments,team up with others,play as enemies, and even use Oatchi if your losing.

I would absolutely and utterly love the ability to, as your right, to have a cave creator, but also a dandori battle maker where you can create the arena, place the items you want anywhere on it, and then be able to try it with a friend or someone on the internet. I also think that Louie is genuinely one of the funniest characters in the game, just look at his notes on the piklopedia.
I think the pikmin Tipes might be... Red, yellow, blue, purple, white,
Rock, winged, gloom, invisible and bulbmin. In pikmin 5

One of my hopes is being able to use more than three types of Pikmin on the field at the same time, the limit is annoying and sure it will be broken some may say, but you want to know what's truly broken, being able to rewind time.

I think difficulty settings could influence the amount of pikmin types allowed out at the same time, and would bring in a decent chunck of replayability
I really want to see all pikmin types outside the onion. Maybe difficulty options could change this. I really like my squad colorful.

I feel like there should be weather hazards with come from weather (which is randomized) like rain is a water hazard with raindrops(blue immunity), hail with would come from the sky (with shadow indicators) which would crush pikmin(except rock), lightning storms which shocks pikmin (except yellow), snow which buries pikmin (except winged), wind which would make pikmin get blown over/fall over more often (purple is immune), heat wave which would make certain parts of the ground (stone, dirt, or metal areas) which are exposed to the sun scorched ground which would be a fire hazard(red immunity). mist which would make pikmin get lost from your squad more easily (whites have immunity), flash freeze which pikmin freeze (ice pikmin immune), very cloudy allows glow pikmin to be out (very rare weather), and normal/sunny weather which has no effect. normal would be about a 77% chance, cloudy a 0.5% chance, hail 1.5% and the rest each have a 3%. also chances can vary depending on location. for example, cold locations (like the distant tundra in pikmin 3) are more likely for snow/hail and no chance for heat wave
7:12 I think that the bossfights are fine, but only for the caves, there could be main bosses for the main area's.
My Idea for Pikmin 5 is this:
10 years ago, a family was having a space cruise when suddenly their ship malfunctioned and began to shut down in a Fit of Panic. The family launched an escape pod housing their baby....however, as soon as they did that, their ship not only stopped malfunctioning it also entered Hyperspeed leaving the Pod behind as it hurtled to a Mysterious Planet. Years later Olimar and his family are flying through space when the SS Dolphin shuts down and is sent down to the Pikmin Planet. Here u take control of Olimar's son, and he ends up meeting a Strange Wild Child named Vez who can survive on the Planet without a Suit why? It's because The Pod they lived their whole life in has a Built in Life support system that filters oxygenated air through it allowing Vez to stay on the planet without fear of poisoning Plus Vez has already met and befriend TONS of Pikmin (New and Old) and they have the Power to Whistle loudly enough to direct the Pikmin (By putting their fingers in their mouth) Olimar's Son (Who we'll Call Toyl from here on) Asks Vez for Help in finding his Family and escaping the Planet.

Pikmin 4 is a soft reboot to introduce the series to many gamers who've never played Pikmin.
- Pikmin 1 did well on the GameCube 20 years ago
- Pikmin 2 was not as well recieved and the next game wouldn't arrive for years
- Pikmin 3 unfortunately did not get much exposure due to the WiiU's very low install base.

Y’know what would be cool? A pikmin survival game where, you play as a pikmin and it could be completely open world. You can play as any pikmin type and maybe even customize your own pikmin, and upgrade their abilities, and collect treasure. It could also be completely online where everyone can play on the same, very large planet at once, you can also fight or team up with other players for resources or territory. You can also, fight enemies (all the series’s enemies will be there, as well as all the areas) I haven’t though it completely through, but to me, the concept itself would be awesome to me.

pikmin 5 should give us online use, new characters, old characters a good story, and something along the lines of otachi the dog. possably even returning features and good bosses.
There should have been a online ranking system in Pikmin 4 where you could play on a random stage or predetermined stage or a custom stage it would have been more fun than doing Louie's stupid side quests

If you think about it, pikmin 1 and 2 were basically the only actual challenging games, pikmin 3 is so easy that I quickly beat the whole game in only a few days, and I was 7. Pikmin 4 did add some challenge as dandori battles but with enough time, even bad players can beat them
How PIKMIN 5 could REVIVE hairy bulborbs: my idea is that there’s a new snow map, the hairy Bulborb will be there and will be immune to ice ( unless it’s on the eye, but it takes longer to freeze than a normal Bulborb)

I would love to see more difficulties like in Pikmin 3 Deluxe, also challenge mode from 3 would be nice, the Dandori challenges just feel too short.

Personally I don't miss the P3 bosses so I disagree on that. I don't think Pikmin lends itself to boss fights so they could maybe lose them entirely for me. Anyways:
1) More "real" locations that affect gameplay. A school, a bathroom, a shop etc. Basically the sort of locations Katamari would start in, but with Pikmin
2) Instead of separate night missions, let us stay out at night if we want for greater challenge / reward, but we can leave at sunset if we're scared. A bit like how FF XV did it.
3) Keep Oatchi but nerf him so we can't just use him to plow through two thirds of the game
4) Get rid of all the boilerplate stuff, having to talk to characters, tutorials etc, or at least let me skip all that. All the games are digitally available now, you don't have to explain to me how to carry stuff. Just give me a ship, an onion and a pikmin and leave me alone.
5) I don't know if we *need* to follow the pattern of two new pikmin per game. It's starting to get contrived. Maybe one new one, or just make more use of bulbmin / puffmin
6) Maybe unlock the whole world to start with and make it all connected rather than a series of sandboxes
7) Refine the non-basic controls. It never felt intuitive to me to manage the dog, select a pikmin type, use items, etc. They change it every game but it's always fiddly and takes too many button presses. A customisable radial menu like Ratchet and Clank would be better. I know you can attach shortcuts to the D-pad but it's not enough
8) Get rid of the "earn max pikmin in ten-p increments", it feels like a cheap way to use RPG mechanics to add obstacles.

2. Expand on the home base hub. I’d like to see camp slowly build up over the days with new buildings and structures.
3. Expand upon the night tower defense. Let us use claw to build walls or structures to make it more interesting. I think there should be at least one more night time exclusive Pikmin.
4. Enemies should respawn after a couple of days.
5. I liked the idea of the water level dropping in Serene Shores. Give us more environmental changes.

9. Tutorial needs to be streamlined. Never really played a Pikmin game before but I got annoyed that the game kept stopping during gameplay to tell me how to do something I already clued in on.

Here's some ideas for difficulty options and examples to go with them
Easy Mode-Fire geysers use their original size and are destructible, Electricity doesn't kill pikmin, and enemies generally arent too bad.
Normal Mode-Fire geysers use their original size and are indestructible, electricity stuns pikmin and kills them in 6 seconds, and enemies are okay threats
Expert Mode-Every hazard spawner (Fire Geysers, Electrical Wires, Gas Pipes, etc) are indestructible, and the amount of time to wrestle with death is 1.5 seconds.
They do need a cave maker and we need a storyline like mini games. What are you making storyline online Michael’s everything and you probably Adam Mario Meebo cause like I’m like is your favorite like Mario?
No more leaving the planet we already have day and night cycles.

My least favorite things about Pikmin 4 are A. Oachi and B. Pikmin movement.
Oachi trivializes the challenge of controlling and keeping your Pikmin out of danger. I mean, Look at the water wraith in Pikmin 2, then 4. And the Pikmin movement is just so sterile. The game just feels.. Unpikminy. I enjoyed it a ton, but even then, I’d say it’s my least favorite. (I would also like to note that I am including, and I enjoyed playing, Hey! Pikmin.)
One more thing that carries over to Pikmin 3 deluxe, Pikmin speed isn’t a problem in the party. It feels like easy mode.

0:53 I think you don’t realize that him having no motivation or anything for what he does is his hull character. He has always been like that. Why did he steal all the fruit juice, why did he backstab Olimar, why did he eat the golden pikpik, for no reason. Criticizing Pikmin 4 for that is kinda dumb. I get wanting a bit better of a story, but Pikmin 4 probably has the best story in the franchise and is the only Pikmin game that consistently gives you more clues and plot threads throughout the whole game. Also, Olimar being the little red guy isn’t drone out when it is revealed. It’s more a twist for the characters instead of the audience. That makes it so when it happens it really isn’t annoying. The only things I think weren’t the greatest was the characters, they don’t have much personality has previous characters from the franchise. And the decision to muddy up the timeline with retcons but that could probably be fixed in the future titles. No hate to you but I just feel you didn’t really think this point through.

The Pikmin Evolve as the blue would be able to just breathe underwater be able to harvest the power of water And creating his true form, which is like a big buff form of him with a trident yeah, red would have like a big buff magma Yellow would be able to like transform it to electricity, and like electricity, they would be able to like use the power of wind rock, which just harnessed the power of earth bending White would be able to like shoot acid balls acid then we got purple it was just Be more buff basically Ice would just basically like ice bend Now we have puff, if the character collects a certain flarlic And give it to the puff, the puff appreciate The gift making you unlock nice puff, getting the puff onion the puff would be able to harness the power of mushroom. I don’t know what that would lead to, but it would lead to something. Bulbmin IDK I really DK
WHAT THE HELL IS THAT WINGED PIKMIN PIC
We need a new pikmin enemy like bulbmin and a new pikmin
I'd love for Pikmin 5 to be a massive campaign that isn't just about completing a straightforward task. I've had this idea since Pikmin 2, and it was to have PNF-404 be facing a significant crisis. Think Climate Change, but in Pikmin. So areas that should be a beautiful garden are drenched with mud and water, icy areas are scorched and melting, etc... The idea would be that Olimar would yet again return to the forefront as the main playable character, and is now tasked with assisting the Pikmin themselves, after all they've done for him. The planet is in a major crisis, causing new enemies and bosses, new hazards like mud, sand, etc... to appear and dominate. I'd love for every area to suffer a few kinds of environmental shifts, and the only way to fix them is to acquire 8 Key Treasures that can forcibly reshape the land and return it to the way it should be. The catch is, each area has a maximum limit on how bad it can become before succumbing to the changes and being unsalvageable. You'd constantly have to swap areas and take on varying challenges that change on the daily, indicated by the "Catastrometer", which tells the player how well or poorly the area is doing and if it can still be saved. This would create not only a massive time crunch and a challenge to the players and Pikmin veterans, but also make you have to pick and choose the best course of action every single day. Do you head to the area where there's a massive ice storm happening today and would allow for easier traversal than usual, or that other area that's inching dangerously closer to total annihilation if you don't do something soon ? Every action would have a potential consequence, and this would easily push Pikmin back towards its' roots (pun intended) as a partial Real-Time Strategy Game. Balancing your squad, doing caves, breaking down barriers, propagating Pikmin, dealing with enemies, clearing hazards, finding treasures and the key treasures, all of these would need to be carefully considered by the player, lest they risk everything.
I think this sort of large-scale strategy is what Pikmin needs, and would elevate the game further.
God, I hope Pikmin 5 takes place after the events of Pikmin 3.
They should bring back people like captain Charlie,alph,Brittany and the president as playable characters or play as Olimar going on a different adventure with Louie or just make the game feel like Pikmin 3 it was the best game in my opinion,Pikmin 4 was missing some of the best characters,Aldo the the president had a cameo in Pikmin 4 I wish he was playable or you had to go on a mission to find him

Bring the backtracking back. It would be so nice if in the first world was a blockade that only flying pikmin can manage.
And of course more like that everywhere. It sucks that you can 100% any area at the start.
Also it sucks that you dont really have to grow some specific pikmins, because you always find wild ones in the cave that you need for it..
Also... water was the perfect thing to blockade some areas... and now.. thanks to the ice pikmin thats gone. Thats not really strategic if you get everything right at the start with no effort.
The game is way tooo easy. Enemies dont respawn, you can exit the caves EVERYTIME and you dont loose any progress... just 3 pikmin types on the overworld....
Though the pikmin 4 worlds look bigger, they dont feel like it. And the fact that you can put your base on different spots are adding up to that...
Pikmin 5 has to be harder. I waited 13 years for pikmin 4, and i got very dissappointed

Pikmin 1 is insanely replayable.
Pikmin 2 DOUBLED the length of the game after you beat it.
Pikmin 3 has side stories and mission modes.
Pikmin 4 has things I won’t spoil.
i think they should:
1. remove the 3 type limit
2. make a long cool down for rewind time
3. make enemies as strong as they used to be
4. remove dogs (i like Oatchi but he makes it too easy)
5. make you play as Olimar and Louie
6. make a cave creator
7. make online (story mode and battles)
8. add the mission modes from pikmin 3 back (i am so freaking tired of Dandori battles and missions)
9. add every side mode from pikmin 3, 2, and 1 (i miss challenge mode ): )
10. make it so hazards actually deal damage so you cant keep throwing purples and whistling them back
