    I think rock pickmin should deal damage against most enemies when they're crushed against hard surfaces.
    I get that rocks won't survive under those circumstances, but from the enemies' perspective, they're still stepping on a rock, and that shit hurts.

    One issue I have with a lot of these "buffing pikmin types" videos is that the buffs are too complicated for Pikmin's gameplay, things like blues getting temporary buffs after leaving water or types getting secondary attacks is too much busy work in a game with at most 100 characters and a time limit, Pikmin's gameplay relies on a simpler approach

      How to Way Red they can’t make a fiery roll because why not yellow make electric shock and you the extra can we go to electrical explosion Blue can’t swim and why don’t they can get a watery shot doing 50 damage purples I have have no idea because they’re already over powered White A poison breath a dick a same ability as the purples no feel like a purple pikmin wing Pigman oh yes my favourite one who who think it’s liability makes me angry and do you have for them for their wing I want them to have a wing ability so I can tickle a enemy and make it stand for a bit ice and grow both have the same ability but more advanced for the ice when I want them to make itPu’u ice shop doing a ton of damage see what I did to nose but I’m all grown so these are weird I wanted to have a Google fan but makes their enemies stun doing a ton of damage and that’s it

    yellow pikmin stun ability would be pretty cool like a quick short stun on any creature excluding electric ones

      I think yellows are already pretty viable with their higher throw and better digging, I think the white Pikmin should do that and spray the enemies with a little poison

      On the other hand, additional hazards won't make them survive a 100 purple rush. But the arctic beetle arena in final cave was pretty neat.

    A buff I would've given blues is increased movement speed out of water, they must be incredibly strong to walk normally underwater, so I feel increased speed on land is fitting, they could be the 2nd fastest pikmin in the game

      Another idea would be for wet blue Pikmin be able to put fire out temporarily. After stepping out of water, if thrown they’d put out the flames on an enemy for a short while, and losing it’s wet properties.

    Imagine if every Pikmin had a unique charge action like Oatchi and the Glow Pikmin... that would be an interesting mechanic.

      Hmm, let me try:
      Red Pikmin: They catch on fire and sets the enemies they attack on fire.
      Yellow Pikmin: As soon as they are charged, they will jump high once and if they dont reach anything, they will continue charging forward.
      Blue Pikmin: Will charge faster when in water of sprayed on by a geyser.
      Purple Pikmin: Once they hit their target, the shockwave will occur.
      Winged Pikmin: They are the glow pikmin but without the stun.
      Rock Pikmin: They stun their target once hit but can stick on them while they are stunned.
      White Pikmin: They charge and leave an acid train behind that can damage enemies when walked on. There can only be one and if they are charged again, the previous one will evaporate
      Ice Pikmin: They will make a shock wave that will freeze enemies and water once hitting their target.
      Extra pikmin i just made up:
      Web pikmin (Black): Will slow down enemies when thrown at them (by a bit), when charged, They will leave a web that slows down enemies if they dont encounter an enemy while charging.
      Sticky pikmin (Orange): They can be thrown on walls and climb up to maybe get treasures when oatchi is unavailable. When charged, they can stick on enemies and and resist the enemy shaking them off once, the next time, they are off.

    All buffs are good. But I think Bulbmin should have an ability to eat enemies, and grow taller but it’s an anime in his size so in 4 days of eating enemies he turn into a jumbo bulbin I think that is overpowered. Cuz it will increase damage and other stuff like force 😊

    Really interesting concept of buffing every type into making them strong in unique ways. I probably would've made all them busted in combat but thats probably because I think like a purple pikmin.

    I really like the buff for Red Pikmin, especially since it makes it so other Pikmin can't attack the enemy without catching on fire themselves. This evens out the ability plus gives red's an added bonus since they're the only ones who can attack that enemy during that period

    Maybe instead of getting wet, the blue pikmin could get a lite water drop on their leaf and it had like a one minute timer to be used. It could:
    Deal more damage
    And cool off hot areas
    But, it onlg has *one* use

    in pikmin 1 i always though of the yellow pikmin as the "aerial fighters" of the group since thanks to his long jump there could reach the flying and talls enemies easier than the reds like, for example, puffy blowhogs,wollywogs or snagrets (and of course the arachnorb)
    if they were to get a buff i would really like for them to have something related to aerial combat

    Electricity being an insta kill doesn’t make sense IMO since they introduced Gloom (Smoky Progg stuff) specifically as an insta kill element.

    Another buff for Oatchi, he can learn the skill of "Climb". This will cost 1 Pup Drive and this will decrease the legendary skill cost by 1. (It's only one level but it means that Oatchi can climb ropes and walls like regular Pikmin.)

    I sas thinking like about the rock buff like, "how is it sidegrade to purples when it takes longer due to charging? Shouldn't they need a bit more of a damage boost?" Then I realized, with a squad of even 10, that's enough to melt anything instantly

    i do have a few ideas of my own, maybe one for each pikmin.
    reds: after standing in open flames, or sprayed with a special berry spray, reds' leaf will be ingulfed in flames for a duration of time. this will increase their damage output, and set enemies on fire, like your idea, with a bar similar to ice pikmin's to show when the enemy will be set alight. there could also be flammable walls in the way that can only be burned down, as well as flame pillars and torches that you can use to ignite them. i'll call the burries used for this "super scorch berries" and makes "super scortch spray" andonly reds can carry them due to their heat, which could also be a good visual clue as to which pikmin gets affected by it.
    yellows: i think yellows discharging electricity and affecting lightbulbs was rather underused in the game. my idea is that yellows can be super charged with electricity when coming into contact with a high amount of energy, like throwing them to batteries or power outlets. supercharged yellows will temporarily increase in attack speed, and can build up stun against enemies, much like red's fire concept. though they don't have a spray, they can handle lightbulbs much like holding treasures, however, this'll only be in dark areas, like caves or night events, and due to this darkness, will try to stay close to the captain. this'll be used to ward of titanic monsters, too big to fight, while illuminating the area, dependant on the light used. one cave could use a regular light bulb, while another lets you use christmas lights. you can also find certain spots near the end of the cave where a stationary light source is and can call your ship over, allowing you to deposit your light treasures.
    blues: blues are actually a bit hard, as they just seem so situational, so maybe instead of being more for combat, they'd be more for traversal. while above water, blues can spit water at things and enemies, and can extinguish hazard fires and fire enemies. this move is a charge exclusive, and i don't think throwing them on fire enemies would be beneficial, which could be a good strategy to give more optional incentive to use charge attacks, to make you think if it'd be more benefitial to fight with only reds, or risk burning blues to extinguish the enemy to let your whole squad fight. this spray ability can also water platform plants, and bloom flowers that release nectar and treasures. also, i think they should also have their lifeguard attribute back, grabbing stray pikmin that fall in water. my thought is that as long as a blue holds another pikmin, they'll float indefinitely until reaching land, targetting the closest spot, instead of trying to follow the captain.
    whites: honestly, the acid spitting idea sounds neat, like having certain walls in the way that only white pikmin can melt away, or enemies with armor plating that can easily be removed by white pikmin. since both oatchi and the treasure tracker can disclose hidden treasure, i think that ability might be tossed, but in it's place i think it should have yellow's fast digging ability. as it's the most mobile, it makes sense it'd dig faster, too, able to burrow through dirt mounds a lot faster than any other pikmin.
    purples: there isn't much that can actually be done for them considering they're already OP, but maybe they can have more traversal abilities instead. like in certain areas, you can find cracks in the ground that you can throw purples at to break the ground, revealing holes or buried treasures.
    rocks: pretty much everything in me told me for them was "bring back more crystal obstacles." i'm not sure why they didn't bring back the clear crystals from 3, it would've been more interesting to go through a level and see treasures and stuff in crystals to come back to once you had rocks. that;s pretty much all i got, your idea to have them roll when charging was a good idea.
    winged: besides better pathing and allowing the captain to glide, winged pikmin could use their wings in unison to make gusts of air, to turn fan obstacles and switches, or knock around small enemies too grouped together.
    ice: there isn't a lot that comes to mind about ice pikmin, maybe have more ice related collectables that only they can carry? idk, that's all i got.
    glow: i suppose they could have their own candypop bud to collect more underground, though less will be made than other buds. they could also have the same floating pathing like winged, considering they float and all.
    bulbmin: since glow pikmin are pretty much bulbmin in every aspect, apart from collecting them, they could be used in olimar's side-story, in place of glow pikmin, this time allowing you to take them with you , but not only are they scarce to find, but can only be used in caves.

    Well about the electric hazzard in Pikmin 4, they do end up killing your Pikmin, it just takes a bit.

      So does fire, water, and poison. It just takes a good while before any Pikmin would die from it (except for Ice Pikmin who die twice as fast to them.), and theres plenty of time to whistle at the Pikmin
      Only hazards that dont kill are being frozen and shivering.

    I have 2 Buff Ideas for Winged Pikmin I would like to share, one for Transportation and one for Combat…
    Buff 1: When Winged Pikmin are carrying something with other Pikmin types, the Winged Pikmin will use their wings to create a light gust of wind to help the other Pikmin move faster while carrying.
    Buff 2: Winged Pikmin now have a new Charge Ability (Similar to the Glow Pikmin), when fully charged the Winged Pikmin will fly forward and when making contact with an enemy, they will gather around the top of the enemy and try to lift them up, when enough Winger Pikmin grab an enemy (The number needed depending on how many Pikmin you normally need to carry that Enemy) they will fly into the air and drop the enemy, dealing a good chunk of damage, stunning the enemy and releasing a shock wave on impact that stuns other enemies in the AOE (heavier enemies cause a larger shock wave). As a way to slightly balance this, the damage and stun duration is less on Bosses, and some Bosses will be unable to be picked up and dropped like Groovy Long Legs or Empress Bulblax.

    Giving Ice Pikmin the ability to make something like Blue Ice Highway in Minecraft is kinda mind-blowing, as the map / caves aren't big enough to fully make them as useful as it seems. Water hazards / Ice hazards from Pikmin that could trip other creatures could be really fun, and I think Yellow Pikmin can be used on solving electric circuit puzzles, not only playing with switches, player should be able using Yellows to manipulate circuits even hack some systems...

    I think if you call on puffmin for a short period of time like 1 min you can have them in your squad before they turn into the original pikmin and the dmg they deal will be when an enemy eats white pikmin so they will do constant poison dmg

      ​@@dooplon5083Not true. A rock pikmin charged on an enemy will deal the same amount of damage (or i think less) as a throw. he stated that charged rock pikmin will do 2x as much damage. Besides its just Better to do it with purple because they have more impact damage than rocks

      @@BlouePickdMan you're wrong, lol, in pikmin 2 purples did 20 damage, 2x the average damage, whereas in 4 they deal 15 like reds typically do (downgraded to 10 with spicy spray but their attack speed increases which can sometimes be useful i think?).
      in pikmin 3 the rock pikmin do 20 damage but do a whopping _40_ per hit in pikmin 4, making them objectively the strongest type damage wise. If you're wondering why they seem weaker on the surface it's because they do their strongest damage when thrown or when youartack with the oatchi charge, which causes them to do their absolutely insane damage all at once and instakills so many enemies (unlike purples which need to be individually thrown for the stomp to activate which is much slower)

      @@dooplon5083 Um i said purples have a stronger impact damage? When you throw them and they land on an enemy they do more damage than rocks. The 15 damage you got is from their dps (Damage they do while latched on) So they have Impact damage (Higher than rocks) AND also do damage over time with dps. i think everyone agrees that purples are better Not to mention their shockwave attacks. Stun ability in pikmin 2, carrying 10x more than a basic pikmin , and homing in on enemies

    In general, I think the only buffs Yellows and Winged need is being able to power electric wires to activate mechanisms (i.e. lightbulbs and moving platforms and stuff), and being able to pull Flukeweeds again respectively (and better pathfinding... Winged Pikmin's "shortcuts" are useless).

    Puffmin can be buffed to take all the traits and looks of the type they once were. Puffmin can only be reverted back to normal if the Puffstool is defeated. They will stay with the Puffstool until they are defeated or it is defeated, so end of the day will not kill them.

    It would've been interesting if glow pikmin were able to infect and parasitize certain small enemies, the throwing aim in Pikmin 2 is green for the bulbmin, glow pikmin are green.

    I think Pikmin 4 found a great balance for purples compared to the Godslayers in 2, and the good for nothing stinky bad failures in 3. For small enemies like Dwarf Bulborbs or Sheargrubs, there may nor be a better option with their powerful Slam radius. But they are a bit tricky to use against Larger enemies like Bulborbs, Chrysanthemums or WollyHops, with their low throw arc and Slam attack being hard to land against them. This isn't mentioning their 10 pikmin carry weight which can help you with Managing Pikmin resources (or in Pikmin community terms, Dandori).

    One thought I have for the White Pikmin is, in the same way Purples have a chance to stun enemies on impact, Whites have a chance to inject poison into enemies. This causes a random effect such as slowing the enemy down or causing them to gradually take damage even if no other Pikmin are fighting them.

    ok here is my buffs and nerfs
    reds: i think the fire starter is fine but less the enemy running around
    yellows: when thrown, they have a small chance to paralyze enemies for 5 seconds with their electric powers
    blues: i think your idea is the way to go for blues👍
    whites: same with blues but less getting a good angle and more acid spit in this area
    purples: i’d remove the stun ability, they’re still pretty over powered with or without it
    winged: idk make it so that they can help captains can jump on ledges like otachi 🤷‍♂️
    rocks: your idea is not a bad one in my mind👍
    ice: I think that they be able to skate across the floor being faster that whites but being harder to control them as they slip everywhere
    glows: think Nintendo did a find job at glows
    bulbs: i think you idea for blubs in not a bad one id even give the a attack power similar to red’s because they’re sharp teeth, but when you find them you can’t just go back and farm more because I’ll put a cap on how many can exists, unless they die you can only have a max of 20 bulbs
    puffs: i’d make it that there are different kinds of puffs but the puffstool can only infect a max of 10 to keep it from absolutely hell for your captains
    otachi: in the words of the character Puddles, “you are perfect exactly as you are”

    pikpik carrots: stuns, freeze, burns, and poisons enemies depending on the type of pikpik carrots like spicy pikpik carrots burn, pikpik carrots in ice give brain freeze, and expired pikpik carrots poison, But legend say that a super rare gold pikpik carrot turns enemies into solid gold‼️

    One way to buff puffmin is give them a mushroom trait, they can release spores that don't damage the captain or Pikmin, but instead when they hit the ground, they spawn more puffmin and these clones spawn more clones and so on, and when the one that released the spores is killed or cured, the clones that were spawn by it will disappear in a puff of smoke.

    How I would give a balance tweak to every pikmin type
    Reds: Balanced already, but firestarters now last longer because its annoying asf
    Yellows: Electricity is used more, and lightbulbs and bloominous stemples make a return.
    Blues: After leaving water, they get a bubble that makes them immune to 1 grab and make their first hit on an enemy do double damage (i copied silohawk)
    Whites: Give them 1x damage again and make them 4x faster than regular pikmin
    Purples: Make their initial hit do regular damage but it has a 10% chance to stun enemies for 1 second
    Rocks: Make them not die to crush damage on hard surfaces and patch the spicy spray nerfing their damage
    Wings: Make them go over unbuilt climbing walls, unraveled ropes and pits and you can swarm/charge them in water
    Ice: Make it so enemies get unfrozen if they take enough damage while frozen
    Glows: Make them able to use firestarters and immune to mud

    I had an idea, that bulbmin were kinda immune to being instantly attacked by other enemies! They stay limited to caves, but they are the sarced and can be still crushed. They stay in the caves and that may interfere with the Winged, and the Glow. Also if you attack an enemy with Bulbmin, the enemy will attack back!

    It may be slightly op but i think the yellow pikmin could have a 0.75 stun with a slight bit of damage when eaten making them a mix of Ice Pikmin and White Pikmin without over shadowing them.

    Giving purples an actual barrier that only they can get through. There’s the strong boys that live underground, wouldn’t it make a lot of sense for them to break down thick dirt walls that only they can break down? Not only giving purples a use more than airbags and treasures, but also establishing a new barrier that makes you have to use purples to break down permanently.

    I had an idea for rock pikmin similer to yours around a week or 2 ago, where is you held x with rock pikmin, they would bunch up together into a boulder and charge in the direction you wanted them to, flattening enemies in the way that were smaller then the boulder. And using the lineup trumpet whilst they were creating a new road could let you steer the boulder like how cannon larvae shots can turn.

    I think a fitting bulbmin buff would be making it so that enemies can't/won't eat them. Or at least other grubdogs won't eat them. They would still be able to be crushed and so forth but like the dwarf bulborbs being mimics that don't get eaten by bulborbs, the bulbmin would be the same.

    whites: slightly more dig speed
    purples: immunity to mental effects like in 2
    rocks: higher impact damage than purples
    pinks: an ice pikmin-type meter that allows them to pick up enemies, putting them at a safe distance
    ices: i got nothing
    glows: the ability to use them above ground, but only for either 30 seconds or until they finish using their first glowmob, and only once per day

    Electricity in pikmin 4 is kinda a mix of 2 and 3's electricity

    An idea for puffmin: if they were implemented in later games, the puffstool should be accompanied by other enemies. killing the puffstool will give you back the pikmin it poisoned, but they will still be puffmin, and will have no special attributes and regular damage. They can’t be removed from your party in any way and will turn back or die at the end of the day.

    Rock Pikmin should just get a flat buff to thrown damage, but could also be paired nicely with Ice Pikmin, dealing double damage to frozen enemies.
    Bulbmin should also be able to use their teeth against opponents and make them bleed, dealing a sort of damage over time effect.
    Puffmin buff would be they arent hostile anymore (after defeating the Puffstool enemy) but they are very weak fighters. They can be planted to create small mushroom obstaces to keep out enemies. Youd also be able to plant them in certain locations to grow into the bouncy shrooms. Being eaten by enemies would temporarily cause them to be disoriented. They wouldnt be deadly like white pikmin, but enemies would be on shrooms pretty much.

    The rock Pikmin having a weakness to dying by getting crushed on a hard surface is my greatest nitpick about them.
    The only exception to this is if they get crushed by something hard on the enemy, while the rock Pikmin themselves are on a hard surface.
    Soft enemies, like the Wollyhops for example, should NOT be able to survive crushing FRIGGIN *_R O C K S_* while they’re on a hard surface. This should instead, hurt them, dealing a bit of significant damage to them, sort of a bit like piercing damage to the enemy.
    If some enemy with something hard on them crushes a rock Pikmin on a hard surface, like the Waterwraith (with its rollers), then that’s understandable for why rocks could get killed getting crushed on a hard surface.
    With this, I’m turning their weakness into a buff, but it only works on soft-bodied enemies that can crush your Pikmin in general.

    I think all pikmin should have 1 tool that each pikmin has that isnt directly related to just the pikmin, like reds and the fire starters
    Blue could carry bubbles that spawn in the water that could put out furry enemies, or trap the enemy in the bubble
    White pikmin could carry venom/poison droplets that do a lot of damage
    Yellow pikmin could get their bomb rock privilege back, or could carry an an electric coil that lasts about 20 seconds and stuns enemies in range
    Purple pikmin could be changed so they have to get an item that gives them their extreme strength
    You could find an item that could chisel a rock pikmin that gives them immunity to an attack or two and do a little more damage
    Pink pikmin could get floating leaves that fall from tress that give them regular attack strength for a little bit, or could carry a few pikmin across the sky with them to get them over terrain where they might be needed
    Ice pikmin are the item in themselves, they should be changed to be able to find icy rocks that instantly freeze enemies, but still able to freeze stuff like hydro jelly, small pools of water, but instantly freeze when eaten!
    I don’t anticipate the return of glow pikmin, but if they had their own item, it should be glow sap globs that are like pikpik carrots but distract enemies in a larger radius that doesn’t get instantly eaten, but also doesn’t harm the enemy.
    Also I hope they don’t bring back the new single use items, Although I like how you don’t have to worry about your bomb rocks getting in the way, it really pushes pikmin to the side which I really dislike

    I never have considered “puffmin” to be Pikmin types. Sure they are called Pikmin, but then the mother bulbmin should be called a Pikmin, too, even though it’s an enemy. And what about bomb rocks? Are they Pikmin as well? Idle captains should also be Pikmin, then. And PikPik carrots. And why not The ship from Pikmin 2 because it is the onion for purples and whites.

    for the acid effect, what, if they deal a stack of acid damage to any destructible structures, mainly walls. as they damage the structure, they add an acid damage as well. which will continue to tick down, dealing normal damage to all walls/structures at about half the rate of normal pikmin hits, and will remain even if you recall them from their assault. this allows you to send your pikmin to other tasks while their acid finishes the job, and makes whites excellent at excavation or clearing paths in a new way that suits their "underground" origin and high speed.

    Maybe when a Yellow is eaten they have a 1 in 10 chance to flash and stun the enemy for 2 or 3 seconds bc of electricity
