Another inspirational topic 👌well discussed with genuine life experiences by two amazing couples. I was waiting for Chance to point out an input that was "flat" during the intro and he didn't disappoint 😀. I teared 😢 up when Louis was sharing how miserable he was at his job even though it paid well and how Tab had been "Tabing" in the lives of loved ones way before we got to know her. After the week it's been (SCOTUS, etc.), y'all have given me so much hope. Black love at its finest! My husband and I met at 17, married at 20 and will celebrate our 50th anniversary this year! Was it easy? No. Was it worth it? Absolutely! Thank you young people for the hope!

I hope you all know how many people y’all are helping with these discussions. I am 29 and have been married for almost 8 years. I don’t have any married peers nor are my parents married so it can be a bit isolating not having a marriage support circle. Love you all and the work you are doing! 🩵

Trauma, emotions and heavy metals are stored in the fat tissues. I’m glad she shared how transformative her losing weight was, it’s hard and those feelings can come up while going thru that change, and the heavy metal toxicities can bring on symptoms that try to slow you down but if you are on that journey..KEEP FIGHTING FOR YOU🙏🏽💪🏽💪🏽
OK! This conversation, so far, has been a WHOLE word. I couldn't even make it to the end before commenting. The gems they have dropped, and the insight articulation,whew child. When Shawna said her view of her husbands pursuit was influenced by the season of life she was in...I had to pause and sit in that for minute. And her response to losing weight, not how much she lost, but how much she's gained, let me tell you. I went through that journey, and that is exactly what I experienced, and am still experiencing daily. Love these conversations, and that Tab and Chance have created this platform.

When Shawna said that.... OOH it ate cause I was mentally dragged back to dating my first love with likely undiagnosed depression. Just like Lewie, I'm a Naija 1st daughter who's been instilled with the work ethic to provide without consideration for the needs of self. I couldn't see or receive his love that well because of my familial trauma. Talk about a baseline rocked. We both had our struggles and receiving the others forms of love something I still have to apply grace to. But I would feel so blessed to have a marriage as beautiful as both of these couples!! We definitely need the Lewisons back for several more. I'd definitely love to see their interactions with the Fredericks and the Tanksleys!!

Great, mature, adulting convo. I like when Lewie said he didn't want to seem like the creepy dude telling her he saw her earlier that day at lunch, he waited many years to share. I'm about 5 years older than you all and I feel like I got a long way to go to get to a level to be able to contribute one meaningful thing to a conversation like this. Yep, this is the exact reason why people grow apart because when a woman knows she’s safe she will naturally rest in her feminine. This is a big problem nowadays with the dudes that are out here being more feminine than the woman could ever be. I have been in a position like that with a friend & he just didn’t get it. I couldn’t slow down my process no more than he could speed up his. He just wasn’t realistic with a lot of thing’s & didn’t provide the mental, physical, emotional, etc space that was needed for me to operate in the energy that I’m naturally born with. It was so much more that I could go into of the things that just wasn’t there.
Tab had big help, with the intro today.

First off let me start off by saying both of you couples are beautiful and your stories are amazing! I say I would advise people to get married early if they are not wanting to wait to have sex. If you can wait sexually then work on you so that you are mentally, emotionally and physically stable. I say that because of the spiritual aspect waiting too long if you’re having sex can put people in a harder place due to “other people spirits”. So it just depends on where you are at in life. God intended for us to only “know” 👀 one person due to spirits. It’s easier to fight together without other spirits being involved. The world wants us to conform but the word won’t steer you wrong! Ijs
