  • For two weeks, the Carrier Strike Group 8 completed one of the hardest military maneuvers of the US Navy. The tactical cooperation of several teams from three different nations comes first in the training. Again and again, the 7,000 soldiers on board are shot at and attacked. Fires are extinguished and evacuations rehearsed - extremely realistic battle scenarios. Our report shows how the team can meet the challenges.
    About Inside Navy Strategies
All Episodes: • Inside Navy Strategies...
This 3-part series gives a fascinating insight into the secret world of international war battles in the vastness of the ocean. A mixture of unprecedented access to a real international (USA, GER, NOR) Nato mission exercise - originally shot at sea -, cutting-edge CGI revealing unseen details in the use and effect of latest weaponry, highly-decorated officers explaining the strategies behind maneuvers and rarely seen archive material puts the viewer in the front seat of what it means to defend a 100.000 tons air craft carrier in the open water.

While I watching this documentary I remembered that Çanakkale War in turkey. This was historical and amazing. Opposite side have many strong warship which they were best warship in that time. But not useful for enemy. They had defeat badly. Now world is changing. These warship looking very complicated. But they should up to date. So especially Turkey working about a warship full by unmanned aerial vehicle. It will more difficult stop it that coming to you many unmanned aerial vehicle. These unmanned vehicles are more usefully and practical. Of course nobody don't want a war. We did brainstorming. Have a good day :)

It's unfortunate that the narration wasn't reviewed more carefully. There are many errors - some seem like they're the result of translation errors. The phrase "so called" is completely wrong in this context; "stimulations" for simulations, "soldiers" for sailors, etc etc etc.

    • @Errr717

That is true ... they are active sonar deployed by helicopters. They are called dipping sonar because the helicopter just lowers the sonar into the water column and pings away looking for submarines. If it doesn't find any contacts it reels it in and goes to the next closest spot of suspected submarine location.

Oh dear we are running out of aviation fuel, ammunition, food, medical supplies, spare parts, oils, with communications being jammed. All our supply ships in ports around us have been destroyed by the enemy. Worse the enemy have launched not one but 25 ultra missiles with nuclear tips from different positions all around us. These missiles are ultra sonic able to do 10-12 thousand kilometers an hour from the edge of space to do a deep dive on the fleet. They are timed to arrive at the same time. Only ONE needs to get through to put and end to the entire fleet & it does not even have to hit the fleet just detonate 10klms above it. Try doing a training procedure for that over four weeks because that's what's likely to happen if you try to war against the big C and we know that's whats going on here.

on the german ship they are called soldiers. soldier means someone who is payed for military work. that's what that word means. just because the US makes up ship about what to call what doesn't mean every country has to do that.

      oceangove @oceangrove:
Please understand, the person who is speaking is “Voice Talent. They only read and speak what is in the script before them. That is their job. The persons you should be upset with are the writers, and the producer who wrote and approved the script the “talent” is reading, not the reader themselves. He has no editorial authority. Like I said, your beef is with the producers and writers.

@@oceangove You can lighten up a little bit about the colloquial use of the term soldier.. The general public doesn't know any difference. To most people anyone in the military is a soldier and that's a term that's used throughout the world. Yes there are specific proper nouns used by the different branches, but it's really okay. Don't get uptight about it. You don't need to show off your vast superior knowledge. Some guy's just reading a script that he was given. He's just doing what he was told to do. Could it be more accurate, yes, but it's okay no need to be so irritated by it.

Why haven't they put together a task force and attack Russia for invading Ukraine. After all they attacked Iraq for invading Kuwait. They are useless in the face of a STRONG aggressor.
