Using veggie wraps can be really nice, especially when you want the meat but not a lot of carbs/bread to eat with it. I like lettuce with a bit of grated carrot with the meat, myself. I had disposable bbqs during the summer last year, but this year I've decided to buy a permanent bbq as I reckon it'll work better in the long run.
Good for you! I've wanted to try these disposable grills but omg the amount of waste they create is a headache. Guess I'll just never know what they're like
you need to also get sliced garlic. you can cook it on the grill or add it raw to your lettuce wrap. Also, there's a sauce almost all Koreans use called ssamjang. Add it to the wrap it makes it way more delicious
I feel like I am there with you and kicked back enjoying a good bbq listening to the birds and feeling the breeze!! This is so relaxing!! Much love and hugs!!
I was going to comment that I don't understand where the charcoal is getting its air from(why it's not getting very hot), seems he was excited about his grilling meats and forgot lol🥓🥢🥓
Ah yes, nothing like a nice gray piece of beef. I don't think I've ever seen anything I'd want to eat on this channel but I sure enjoy watching anyway.
@@dorkanderson4963 What the fuck does that have to do with getting a maillard reaction? I can get a pork belly nice and brown with flavor and color. Salt curing has nothing to do with it.
@@dorkanderson4963 there are no sear marks on the meat, it just looks grey and bland. It doesnt matter if its korean or not, its just not a good design for a grill
I think the idea is to cook most of the meat at once while the charcoal is at its hottest in the center. Then you move the meat you're not eating right away to the edges so they can keep warm without continuing to cook and then put more raw meat in the center. That way you can make the most of the charcoal's heat and the grill itself before it cools down, since there's no extra charcoal. :)

Ya it's a cool idea but I think you needed more charcoal and for it to be spread out in a bigger area as it seems the centre is the only hot spot and the rest is cold
A cool idea, but given it goes in the garbage (any part recycled?) I think a very small Hibachi grill which can be used for 2 people many times would be a nice option, barbecuing on the balcony to bird song is definitely a peaceful way to make a meal.
Why do you guys always wait until the charcoal is white? Doesn't that mean it finished burning up/is used up? Over here, once we lit the charcoal and it's hot, we get straight to cooking on it, and when the charcoal is all white, we add new ones.
Scissors are not only used in that way in Korea. The same goes for China. Even at work here in the Netherlands, we use them to cut bread. * I work with disabled people, and we cut up bread for some of them.
Not much smoke from the coals because they neglected to put holes directly above them. That's why it cooks fastest in the middle, good cleaner safer design. 😉 And here in the states we use bread, doughnuts, and OTHER MEAT for our BBQ sandwiches. We have some weighty issues over here it seems. 😂

Which korean bbq are you going to? Usually they either put a “bowl” with flaming charcoal already in it below the grill or dump charcoal in then use a gas flame to burn the charcoal. And they use a LOT of charcoal. Like 6-7 sizeable lumps
