Burg Eltz and the city of Cochem

We are back! I am a couple videos behind but here is our favorite Castle in Europe.
Burg Eltz, in 1157ad this castle became home to the same family that owns it today (33 generations later)! It is said to be only one of three in the region never destroyed. This gem is a picturesque place nestled in the woods not far from the Mosel River.
The city of Cochem sits on the banks of the Mosel River. First mentioned in 866, it is thought to be settle even earlier back into the Celtic and Roman times. The buildings throughout the town date back as far as the 14th century. The primary castle above town is known as Reichsburg Cochem and was first documented in 1130.
