  • Soprano Aida Garifullina is renowned all over the world for her exquisite lyric voice. A regular at the Vienna State Opera and the Royal Opera House, London, she is also a favourite of Igor Krutoy who has arranged and written music for her and Dimash Kudaibergen.
    Here she sings Schubert's classic hymn to the Virgin Mary, Ave Maria, at the Vatican in Rome.

    I love the fact you do your research and include the history of each piece you react to. That was stunningly beautiful. Even the birds were drawn to your window and were singing along. ❤️‍🔥

    Love this piece. And, Dimash sings his own Ave Maria without words which is gorgeous as well. Although he is a man, he is can sing it, and it is one of my favorite pieces of all music I have ever listened to. Wow! I didn’t know Schubert died so young. You are so interesting William. A wealth of knowledge you have. Such an expressive face you have. I love to watch you react to the various music you have covered. I went through quite a number of years addicted to opera. Now addicted to Dimash. So glad they both have sung together. Hope to see more duets with them both.

    Yes, the charisma of a movie star indeed! In fact, please see Ann Blyth sing "Come Holy Ghost"...she was a trained opera singer who became a great actress. And, is a splitting image of Aida; still alive today.

    Love your wonderful reactions and your musical inclinations, especially your choice of opera singers! Have you heard Offenbach’s Bacarolle from Tales of Hoffmann sung at Bastille Day concert by Aida Garifullina and Joyce DiDonato? Its just magical (they’re my favourite soprano and mezzo soprano). I wish you much success and joy within the musical field and the arts: you are well learned and talented musician!

    Schumann referenced Schubert's Ave Maria in the accompaniment to Widmung which he wrote for Clara Wieck while they were courting. Right at the end of the song. Clara loved the Ave Maria.

      Ah so nice, I will check out the last phrase of Widmung. Is it in the piano accompaniment?

    • @nanettetredoux7613

      @@BangkokVoiceCoach Yes it is.

    • @kimg4589
      @kimg4589 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BangkokVoiceCoach Indeed. Widmung (dedication) was apparently Schumann’s wedding gift to Clara.. Listz (who was also a great admirer of Clara) wrote a piano transcription.
