Our first ocean-going cruise is coming up in June on board the MS Volendam from Boston to Montreal. Hubby and I did a cozy, relaxed river cruise on board the Canadian Empress (St. Lawrence Cruise Lines) down the Ottawa River from Ottawa Ontario Canada, and up the St. Lawrence River to Kingston. It was a 70 passenger riverboat replica. Since we weren't in need of bells, whistles, or floating amusement parks, but rather a more traditional cruise, this seemed to fit us. We'll probably be of average age on board, too. To each their own. I'm sure we'll still have plenty to do and see.
