I've been wanting to say for ages, each time I see your thumbnail and vids on my screen how absolutely gorgeous you are and how I love your jawline and cheekbones. Your inner beauty shines 🥰
I bought a load of Galanthus Nivalis last January 'in the green' from Eurobulbs, near Cambridge. They were just coming into flower so I planted immediately. They continued flowering and this year look great too. They wernt expensive either. Like you I am created a shade garden area with Winter interest so as well as the snowdrops have planted loads of hellibores (which I buy half price in the plant sales as they go over, or when leaves have been frost damaged). I've now added Sarcococca Confuse and Daphnes for their evergreen colour and wonderful scent in February. There are some lovely compact Camellia Sasanqua which will also provide great colour and scent from November to March. Lovely to see your garden in February, will be exciting to see the rest of your Spring bulbs emerge.
So fun to see your bulbs blooming. I'm in southern California so I buy prepotted bulbs since we don't get the needed freeze here for flowering. The old stonework step area in your garden is gorgeous!! Lucky you. Also love the naturalized snow drops scattered about..very cute.
It’s encouraging to hear your snowdrops are taking their time, hope remains that the bulbs I planted in autumn 2021 may yet make an appearance. I am always delighted to receive notification you’ve posted another lovely video of your garden. Thank you!
No fake spring here in Edmonton, Alberta. -40 Celsius at night. Thank God for my grow room. Full of plants, dreaming of spring, breathing in oxygen rich air, wonderful plant smells, getting me through this winter.
Thanks for the well produced video. I love snow drops but have little success growing them. Over the years, I have planted 200+ bulbs with very poor results. I heard “in the green” was the more reliable route to take but that’s too expensive for me. Best wishes for your snow drop crop.🌸
I'm starting year 2 with my snow drops. Not one flowered last year so I'm looking forward to this Spring with great anticipation. 2 more months on this side of the pond 🤞🏻
Your garden is looking enchanting already. After years of unsuccessful snowdrop planting in Autumn I have also started planting in the green so am hoping for more success.
Mt favorite crocus is the little lavender "tommie" that seeds itself in the grass. I have a sheet of if them under my Japanese maple, and i didnt plant them!
How lovely to see the flowers in your garden. I really like the lay out of your garde. Great video as always. Can I ask you for a little look in your greenhouse, do you over winter any plants. Thank you
This was lovely and you’ve inspired me to get some more hellebore varieties as we have a type with light green flowers which are prolific, and a few of the dark purple flowers, but your pink ones are beautiful! I may try to get some earlier crocus varieties too. I added 1000 remembrance bulbs to our crocus lawn in autumn, but similar to you I have noticed the bulbs just planted seem to take longer to flower but I will look forward to hopefully seeing them in a few weeks.
Thanks so much for your lovely tour. We are in high Summer here in New Zealand and am starting to think what to plant for Spring. Great idea about planting crocuses in the lawn!
Love it! We have had an oddly warm February as well and I am seeing Crocuses popping up everywhere. I am also seeing the daffodils and tulips I planted this autumn starting to come up as well. I cannot wait for winter to be completely done and Spring to be here.
You have inspired me to start my garden this year! I'm making my own beds and planting my own seeds. starting with annual vegetables and herbs and hopefully once i get the hang of it, i'll be incorporating perennials!
Thanks to you I must check into whether Hellebores and Snowdrops would do well in our area. I planted near 100 Oriental poppies a month ago but we had so much rain and I'd not covered the soil with enough mulch, they did not thrive. We had quite a beautiful show of them last year. Again, thank you for you informative tour~~
Hellebores are one of my favourite plants. Have you a Christmas Box (can’t spell the botanical name….something like sarcococcha) it has a fabulous scent at the moment, would recommend.
It's looking great. Can't wait to see your March vid. I love that pause before everything in the garden really kicks off. I do have one question tho - when do you mow the grass?
Thanks so much 😊 it is good to enjoy the slowness isn’t it. We now different bits at different times. The parts with spring bulbs in we won’t mow until end of May, but we will mow paths in and around them so we can move around. We always try to keep some areas unmown for the insects so it’s a bit of a mismatch to be honest. Main thing is to leave the bulbs undisturbed for 4-6 weeks after flowering though
I’m going to ‘copy’ if that’s ok?, you’re recycling of plastic pots as plant / seed labels. What type of pen do you use please? I’ve avoided planting hellebores as I have a dog. Presumably your dogs don’t go near them? Lovely video of you’re beautiful garden, thank you
I don't know if it's some sort of ancestral memory but I just adore the old rock houses and the thatched roof homes you have in Britain. In the US the insurance companies won't even let the old homes (mine is a 1910 bungalow) have shake roofs anymore. They say they're a fire hazard. Wouldn't that make any house made out of wood "a fire hazard"? 🙄. So people replace them with colored tin roofs. 🤮 ALTHOUGH with enough money there are tin roofs painted and shaped like shake. But that still seems corny to me.
Your garden is a joy and so are you.
Amen
Thank you that’s so kind ❤
You now, I started learning English because I like English garden. Thay have something amazing what I can't understand. Have a good gardening season🌸
such beautiful plants the snowdrop.
We are about 6-8 weeks behind you in growth and development so we will enjoy seeing what is happening with you now! (Missouri USA)
Great presentation and very relaxing to watch, even for a non-gardener like myself 👏
Aw thanks so much 😊
The garden looks so beautiful Mona! Loved all the closeups of the snowdrops, hellebores and crocuses 😍😍😍
I've been wanting to say for ages, each time I see your thumbnail and vids on my screen how absolutely gorgeous you are and how I love your jawline and cheekbones. Your inner beauty shines 🥰
Awesome friend👍
Hellebores are gorgeous! Thank you for information on snowdrops!
Really enjoyed your video
I’m a newish gardener so found this interesting! I love Helebores and snowdrops 🙏😊
Would love to see a q & a as have so many questions about how you created your current life? Xx

What a beautiful space you have. Will watch with interest throughout the coming seasons.

I really enjoy a garden walk this time of year.
I am so envious. Here in Canada, we are a few months away from our gardens waking up. Thank you for sharing as we dream of spring.
Unless you’re in Victoria 😉
Same in southwestern Ontario! We keep getting fake spring!! I would love to see inside that greenhouse with the agave! 😊

Hope they bring you a wonderful display this year 😊 it feels a process of a lot of patience doesn’t it

Really enjoyed your video. The stone wall with snow drops is a great place to visit.

Thanks a lot for such a nice video. It's a joy for my eyes. And many thanks for monologue- I'm improving my english with you ☺
How lovely to see the flowers in your garden. I really like the lay out of your garde.

those first spring flowers💛💛💛💛💛
The helleborus you showed is helleborus orientalis. It spreads very easy by seeding itself out.
I love your garden, so pretty! Challenges are a favourite of mine🌺
This is so peaceful to watch ❤

Love your garden tours! What camera and tools are you using for filming?
Thanks so much 😊 we have a Sony a7 iii, 24-70mm lens and the mic is rode wireless go ii
Autocorrect!! That's supposed to be hellebores! 😄 🌺

Go for it! We just use a sharpie, one of the fine tip ones. Yeah our dogs don’t take an interest in the plants thankfully. Thank you 😊
@@monalogue thank you. Enjoy your dogs, each other and the garden x
