Honestly I disagree with u using the Japanese terms in your English videos, most fans dont know the Japanese terms, I mean the fact that u even have to clarify that u are using the Japanese terms here is proof enough right there, u really should use the English terms when speaking to an English audience imo.

@@ahmadmanga i agree. for me there are only a few exceptions such as Kumamon who's english name is just Bearmon so i prefer the Japanese name but for most digimon i prefer their English names. what i was referring to though was the digivolution line from Rookie to Champion to Ultimate to Mega that is what most people know and so they get confused when they hear someone referring to a Mega Digimon as Ultimate. Tbf though that is a problem with the dubbing team and not Digimon Central but if u are going to be making the videos in English for English speaking fans u should be using the most common terms in English. I am pre sure every fan that prefers the Japanese names knows the difference and wouldn't bother commenting on saying the English names but u get allot of people trying to correct u if u are using the Japanese names since they aren't that well known by the English community (as i said the fact that he even has to clarify that tells me that they aren't), hell it took me over 10 years to find out that Ultimate in Japanese = Mega in English and i love Digimon so yea. Digimon world 3 made my childhood awesome and the one on one turn based battles combined with the in depth adventure with story and secrets made me feel like a real digimon tamer.. It might be nostalgia but I'd even play it now
@@thebraveguy9808 you could find Veemon part way into the game as a partner. There was also a hide and seek puzzle to get the tree kicking boots in order to start collecting card packs for the playing card mini game.
Digimon World 1, hands down best Digimon game of all time Had they expanded on that roster, the story, and made File City even bigger, that concept could have beaten out Pokemon. All the specifics on raising your Digimon and the variety of evolutions you could get, the depth of the game and story, the satisfaction of watching the city progress as you recruit others, the semi automated battle system - all so good. Will forever be one of my favorite childhood games
@@ikhwanmauaja1184 It really isnt though, they need to stick to the main concept and build off of it, not replace too much or make too many changes that take away from what it is Their issue is that every single game is so massively different from one another Stories are different, characters are different, there is no seemingly stretched out timeline, inclusion of all Digimon never happens - things are just inconsistent. Take Pokemon for example, it was new each main-line iteration while being the exact same formula that they built off of with time while also having side-games - Digimon could have done the same to an extent or had a continuing story from DW1 but instead they broke so far off of that that it became... whatever the Hell it is
Digimon Digital Card Battle for the Ps1 is a hidden gem. I recommend playing it if you can (hint, since it's a card game/rpg it's easy to play on an emulator).
@@pynxlinner2967 Heck yeah. The partner system was incredible. Each card type was viable (except maybe the yellow random ones). Great game, plus it had a great post-game. Armor digivolution was incredibly broken, haha.
For real, it was one of my favorite games but most people I know hated it. It definitely had some flaws but I'd love to see it comb back with some QOL changes, kinda like Next Order compared to the original Digimon World.
Hacker's Memory was such an improvement on the original CS. Not only that but while the original CS already felt like a complete story HM felt like it was just the beginning. They could explore more on the digital world and Erika especially since a certain digimon was only champion level. Really wish they made a sequel.
yea man! the hacker memories is a lit, how the story is like another pov of the main story and extension of the effect, and i kinda love and sad the ending that the MC really cant do nothing about erika, as MC in hacker memories really stand as 'side bystander' and relize cant save erika

Playing cyber sleuth at chapter 10 now. Have hackers memory with it but haven't played yet. Cyber sleuth is good but there is waaaaay too much text in it and the quest system could be a little easier to use.
Thanks to the TH-cam algorithm, I watch one Digimon video and it just feeds me more endlessly. I fell into a rabbit hole Digimon and all the new lore, and my passion was coming back to the point where I found cyber sleuth on sale on Steam. Playing it right now for fun, and wow. This game checks almost every box for me. It's good. Only criticism is the dialogue. Some conversations in quest just. Never. Want. To. End
Same here. Hated the first one and the 3rd never interested me. DW2 was by far my absolute favorite...still play it to this day although it's gotten to the point my PS2 doesn't want to read the disc sometimes. Why was it so hated?
@@drizztdourden8111 I think that a big reason why Digimon World 2 was not the most popular game among fans is because of how slow paced it is. It also doesn't help that the game is extremely grind heavy due to the wonky way the digivolution system works, as it requires you to befriend (aka capture) various wild Digimon, DNA digivolve them with other Digimon you already have, and then raise the new Digimon from it's base level all over again. I personally think it has the capability to be a good game, but I could never get into it too much when I was a kid due to the reasons stated in this comment, unfortunately
@@matthewkuscienko4616 it's the dungeon that actually the weak point, the mid to end game dungeon is having too many floor to clear and you can't save mid dungeon. it's possible to use save state in emulator, but back then playing through 15+ floor dungeon is a pain
Digimon World 2 is a cult classic for me, it was the first to get me patient when training my Digimon. The Cyber Sleuth games, I am happy that came by. Wish I could play Digimon Adventure, looks like a fun time to play games based on anime with some added perks!
I know i am a part of the small fanbase for my fav digimon game. But world 4 was what brought me back into the franchise. It also introduced me to dungeon crawling and top down gameplay styles. I would LOVE to see Bandai remaster and update it with a pc port. I have some freind who would play with me it they added online support T^T
I will admit that world 4 wasn't my favorite. But, I did quite enjoy it as well. My only complaint was at a certain point in time the game was killed for me when my friend hard core grinded my veemon to like...500 or something. at that point i just couldn't. though i still have some good memories of it.
I enjoyed playing World 4 co-op with friends, but coming off World 3, one of my favorite games ever, was super jarring. The further I got into the game without getting an evolution just made me more and more upset.
Pretty much my opinion on 4 is that it had potential. I don't know if it's particularly solo-friendly or not, but still, but I hate the random blocking/jumping away from attacks without warning to make battles last way longer than they should in any beat-em-up, and I always wished there was more Digimon to be able to play as and an actual combo system instead of either the same one swing/shot over and over, charge attack, or techniques. Heck, a Digimon Musou game would be pretty great, I'm sure! Though this is coming from someone who's always been a big fan of Koei-Tecmo's Musou games, haha. They might even be able to pull off the battle system of Dragon Quest Heroes with it, who knows?
World 4 would fare rather well nowadays I think, with the whole co-op system much more favored in an internet environment, although dependant on reception
Digimon Wolrd was my favorite game when I was young, but Digimon World: Next Order did everything just better. IMHO open world digimon's story is the best way to do a digimon game, I love raising and training my digimon and I wish a bigger open world digimon release in the future, something like Breath of the Wild style.

Next Order was a lot more hand-holding though & whilst it made improvements, the more modern, “Hey, go here & follow your quest markers, it’s all written down” style of gameplay really took the feeling of the first game out of the franchise. World 1’s hands off method of, “Go & explore, just find cool shit - we ain’t going to tell you what to do”, was so much more fun in my eyes, as much as the raising of Digimon was a hassle, if the choice is between hassle-free Digimon raising but with a lot of hand holding, vs. a hassle to raise Digimon, but you’re exploring the world by yourself & just soaking in the mysteries. I’d always take the second option.
@@Phoen1xChan The dmw3 card game is so satisfying, collecting the cards and the sounds the cards make! I went through a playthrough recently with cheats on my digimon level 99 so I could focus on playing the card game and not worry about leveling digimon lol
I never played any Digimon games, mainly because they "had nothing" to do with what I saw on the show as a kid. Until I found the english patch of the PSP game, that's basically an interactive version of the S1 animé. Absolutely fantastic game. I'll probably check Cyber Sleuth, since I recently got a Vita.
Unpopular Opinion: My favorite Digimon games is actually Digimon World 2 (the entry game for me. It was my very first digimon game which made me like the franchise.) and Digimon Rumble Arena.
It is also my favorite game of all time I guess we're supposed to be embarrassed to say that but final fantasy tactics is right up there so I guess we're okay

I’m surprised that the Digimon community for the most part doesn’t care much for Digimon World 2, especially since it has the same battle and digivolution process as Cyber Sleuth. I loved upgrading my digi-beetle and competing against other tamers in the city at the colosseum to increase my tamer rank, eventually battling against the leaders of each tamer team.
I've recently been playing through a bunch of my Digimon games. I managed to 100% Digimon World DS. Then I beat both Dawn and Dusk, with a preference for Dusk, and I am in the middle of Cyber Sleuth currently
I still have a copy of Digimon Dawn that I still play today. I remember I couldn't find it anywhere a few years after its initial release except for one local game shop 😂

The Cyber Sleuth games were absolutely fantastic and really helped reinstall my love for Digimon. I just wish the ending to both games story wise didn't absolutely suck ass.
I loved digimon world 2. Probably am one of a few that likes that’s game. But I was a fan of the dungeon crawling and digimon in general. Cyber sleuth was awesome too
I agree, Digimon World 2 was super addicting. I liked the grind, the dungeon crawling in the buggy was fun and challenging, the bosses were great and so was catching and raising my Digimon team.
Digimon world 3 for the PlayStation was the best, I don't care what anyone says. The load times were bad, but it was the best digimon game I ever played.
Digimon world 2 is my favourite of the series, it was grind heavy but that made me feel like I accomplished something after the fact. When I got my Diaboromon man that was a moment, accidentally evolving into a Plesiomon only to find out it was an absolute monster, "amazing"!
I was poor when I was a kid and jealous of when I see my cousin play Digimon World 3 on his playstation. I was only able to play it a few minutes back then. One of the first games I played when I had the money to buy my first Playstation as a working adult. I didn't care if Playstation was old already, I had to play this game before I die.

I'm kinda disappointed that Digimon World 2 wasn't here tbh. I remember when I was 15yrs old with limited playing time on our Playstation 1. I grinded and grinded like a crazy animal fighting every enemy I see on the map. Then started to look for digivolution guides on the net and made it my goal to get Omnimon, Diaboromon and Imperialdramon. The joy of getting those 3 and just absolutely stomping every enemy digimon was incredible.
i remember getting scolded from my mom because i printed a whole guide on cheatcc about every dna digivolving character haha! i really wish they remade it or made a similar game cos the ending is too abrupt, they never did say who was the gaia robot. now i feel like booting up an emulator to play! you can even 2x speed now its wild.
I still love playing Digimon World Dusk! I adore the cute pixel graphics and even though I have a vpet, its nice to see my Seadramon all the time without worrying about him dying. XD
Getting back to the world of Digimon after bit of a break; never been completely "out" but you know, I didn't watch of play anything for a couple of years or so. Now I've recently watched Tri (finally), been playing Cyber Sleuth's complete edition (Switch) and after that, I'll get to Survive. So thanks for this cool video! It's quite helpful at figuring out what else to dig into soon enough when it comes to Digimon games! :)
I grew up with Dawn/Dusk when I was a kid. I enjoyed those games despite grinding for exp to be a tedious. Then I got Cyber Sleuth/Hacker's Memory when it came to switch and it felt like a blast from the past. I beat Cyber Sleuth, but haven't beaten Hacker Memory cuz joycon drift is a pain to deal with. Debating on getting it on steam since I like grinding for achievements, and cuz PC is mater race lol
I have played almost everything, but my favorites where definitely Numbers 1 and 2 from this list! I love Cybersleuth, Hackers Memory and Digimon World 3! I also liked Digimon world 2 and Rumble arena 1 and 2, but as I said, the first 2 are unmatched.
I still can't wait for Digimon Survive. The lore alone very much interests me, but what makes it even better is the fact that I've always been a fan of turn-based tactical RPG's like it, Fire Emblem, or Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor. I'd unfortunately not played very many Digimon games, though. I'd played both Rumble Arena games and All-Star Rumble, World 4, Adventure, Re:Digitize and Decode; the English "fanslations" of Adventure and Re:Digitize/Decode, of course; and at least the first Cyber Sleuth, but I have the Complete Edition. I'd not played Hacker's Memory yet simply because I was burned out by the time I beat the first one. My opinion on Cyber Sleuth is rather mixed. It is good overall, but very grindy, plus after a while, it's quite easy to get a lot of Digimon to evolve and cheese the game; I did it even without intending to. I wonder if there are any tips to go through H'sM without cheesing the difficulty, but also without actually making it hard. All-Star Rumble was just disappointing. I could easily see the potential it had, but they ruined it and just made it insanely repetitive; especially in the story mode, which, being a solo player, matters most to me usually. Digimon World 4, though I didn't play much, also had potential. I mostly liked it because I could very well see a possibility for a Digimon Musou game. That would be awesome!
Digimon world 4 is the first digimon game i played and loved it ive been waiting years for another digimon game like that to come out, but that hasn't happened and other digimon games just dont have the same excitement as digimon world 4 did to me
Cyber Sleuth was my first ever Digimon Game that i got ( came across it by a total coincidence while walking trough the game aisle) bought hackers memory on its release date to when it came out for the Switch i bought it again 😂 i am still playing it on my ps4 and a few weeks ago my boyfriend started to play the switch version 😂👍🏻
Digimon Dusk was my first Digimon game and I fondly remember it and the soundtrack was amazing. New order sucked only because your Digimon died if you couldn’t dig I love them after a certain amount of time - it was stressful cause I wanted my favorite Digimon. Cybersleuth was good.
I have both Digimon World Dawn and Dusk, both were great games. Too bad I never really learned how to do the more difficult Digivolutions. The best I knew how to do was train Pokémon to gain experience on specific types like Machine or Dragon by defeating them and getting experience. I also knew how to use equipment to increase some of the stats until they were high enough for evolution. Besides that I didn’t understand DNA or other forms of Digivolutions.
Favorite, while not on your list, has been mentioned throughout the comments, lol. DW2 was something for the few times I played. Did play that Card Game game on PS1 and liked it as well. Now I really need to motivate myself to make stream on Twitch and try the Cyber Sleuth game.
Rare to find a list that actually gets it right. World 3 and Cyber Sleuth/Hacker's Memory were far and away the best games of the bunch. World 2's grinding was tedious, but after studying the online guides, it becomes less of a chore to play. Honorable mention to Rumble Arena for being such a fun, arcade-style fighter.
the original digimon world is very nostalgic to me but i remember never getting very far because my digimon just kept dying so id have to start over and over and over again. digimon world 3 remains my favorite to this day.
I love Digimon, I couldn't get enough of Digimon World, Digimon World 2 and Digimon world 3, I owned them all and played them untill the very discs got too scratchy to run anymore. I don't think another game has caught the many hours I had collected as digimon franchise did. Lets home the future of Digimon Gaming is bright.
Fun fact although Re-Arise maybe one of the only popular digimon mobile games there were 2 before that I loved sadly they can't be played anymore I don't remember the name to one of them but I know that 1 of them was called Digimonlinkz

Growing up I played the first 3 Digimon World games and Rumble Arena on PlayStation and Digimon Dawn on DS. I haven't played any of the more recent games yet but I'm gonna start playing Cyber Sleuth soon on Switch.
I’ve played Digimon World DS, Dawn/Dusk, Cyber Sleuth and Hackers Memories, and ReArise. Puppetmon was a pain to get in Dusk. Better in Cyber Sleuth but still tedious. Still have to play the earlier ones.
Various of the presented games never made it to Europe or at least in my country. Only ever got to play Digimon World, followed by Digimon World 3, my fav game is Rumble Arena. Loved the voice clips and images shown of the Digidestined and Tamers for the battles alongside the amusing Smah-like gameplay. I have yet to play Stories Cybersleuth. Was for a long while reallyupset that the PSP Digimon Adventure RPG never came overseas. Would have enjoyed to play that in an RPG format.
I don't know about you guys, but I played Digimon world 3 (American version) and I was so happy with it. Took me around 200 hours to finish as a kid because I was not great at English. In fact it's the main reason why I got better at English as a kid. But then I realized there was DIGIMON WORLD 2003! (International version), and you could do more after beating the final boss! I was like * gasp * more digimon for me? (*o*) YES!
Digimon World 3, Rumble Arena 2 and Digimon World DS are masterpieces. So fun to play. Love them all ❤️ You could leave on the chapters the console the game belongs to 😉
I've only recently gotten into the Digimon games, and I have to say that I' surprised on how Cybersleuth stands. Its a really interesting game without having to really grind forever to get the digimons you really want, along side it's interesting story. I didn't know that Mirei was in the other digimon games tho. The more you know I guess. Streaming it has been a whole lot of fun, and IM sure I'll be playing it and min maxing it for a while.
I have very fond memories of Digimon World 3, called 2003 in France (and Europe I believe) as we never had Digimon World 2. I would really love a remake of this game. Also fun fact about the french version of Digimon World 1 (no idea if that happened in the other EU copies), we had a bug around the Ogre Fortress which it was impossible to bypass the Agumon guarding the entrance so we could never finish the game back then. Nowaday, it is apparently possible to bypass the bug.
Didn't play a lot Digimon as a kid. Loved the Anime & had some awesome Action Figures tho. But i do remember renting Digimon World 4, but returning it the next day because it was just too hard for me 😅😂 But i played a lot of Battle Spirit & Battle Spirit 2 on my Advance.
I did play most of Digimon games such as from PS1, PS2, Sega saturn, DS, 3DS and Swicth. Some of it I played with a ROM and emulator. For Sega Saturn games, most of it are in Japanese so I need to search for walkthrough to play but it was really enjoyable moment. I spent most on Tag Tamers. Each tittle do have a memories for me. But as for all time favourite I also choose Cyber Sleuth. Its fit my liking for an RPG monster catching game. I still waiting for Survive to release. Let's all pray for the release soon.
Digimon World 2 got me into the franchise. I loved it. Yes, it has a slow, wonky level-up system but damn it, it's MY slow, wonky, level-up system! Though 3 was pretty good too. The utter joy I felt after working so hard to get Beelzamon and Gallantmon, heck ya.
enjoyed the video gave me a lot of nostalgia. One minor petpeve of mine personally, doesn't take away from the video. calling the "ultimate forms" when referring to the Mega digivolutions. Ultimate is its own evolution lower than mega.
Well, i played cybersleuth recently. But my childhood game was on Digimon World 4 and will hold special place in my memory. It was back when i bring my memory card, multitap and controller in order to play wirh my friend as 4-player party. it doesn't had elements in most digimon franchise but...oh boy the moment you complete the evolution trial, or just waltz through the stage...farming together...that was a great moment. I do understand why it doesn't fit on this top 10 digimon game...prolly because it was hated after digimon world 3 success...but still i like this game and prolly kids from my neighborhood also like it

Stories are different, characters are different, there is no seemingly stretched out timeline, inclusion of all Digimon never happens - things are just inconsistent. Take Pokemon for example, it was new each main-line iteration while being the exact same formula that they built off of with time while also having side-games - Digimon could have done the same to an extent or had a continuing story from DW1 but instead they broke so far off of that that it became... whatever the Hell it is

Digimon Digital Card Battle for the Ps1 is a hidden gem. I recommend playing it if you can (hint, since it's a card game/rpg it's easy to play on an emulator).

For real, it was one of my favorite games but most people I know hated it. It definitely had some flaws but I'd love to see it comb back with some QOL changes, kinda like Next Order compared to the original Digimon World.

Hacker's Memory was such an improvement on the original CS. Not only that but while the original CS already felt like a complete story HM felt like it was just the beginning. They could explore more on the digital world and Erika especially since a certain digimon was only champion level. Really wish they made a sequel.
We still need a yellow or Green game to complete the blue, red, yellow trifecta of games. Or Green if they choose the rgb aproach
yea man! the hacker memories is a lit, how the story is like another pov of the main story and extension of the effect, and i kinda love and sad the ending that the MC really cant do nothing about erika, as MC in hacker memories really stand as 'side bystander' and relize cant save erika

I really enjoyed the Story games, mostly Cyber Sleuth and Hacker's Memory.
Playing cyber sleuth at chapter 10 now. Have hackers memory with it but haven't played yet. Cyber sleuth is good but there is waaaaay too much text in it and the quest system could be a little easier to use.
Digimon world and Digimon world 3 were both so amazing. I'm playing next order currently but would love to see Digimon world 3 remastered ❤️
Thanks to the TH-cam algorithm, I watch one Digimon video and it just feeds me more endlessly. I fell into a rabbit hole Digimon and all the new lore, and my passion was coming back to the point where I found cyber sleuth on sale on Steam. Playing it right now for fun, and wow. This game checks almost every box for me. It's good. Only criticism is the dialogue. Some conversations in quest just. Never. Want. To. End

Same here. Hated the first one and the 3rd never interested me. DW2 was by far my absolute favorite...still play it to this day although it's gotten to the point my PS2 doesn't want to read the disc sometimes.

The 3 v/s 3 made the battles way more interesting though for everything else Digimon World 3 was a better made game overall.
@@drizztdourden8111 I think that a big reason why Digimon World 2 was not the most popular game among fans is because of how slow paced it is. It also doesn't help that the game is extremely grind heavy due to the wonky way the digivolution system works, as it requires you to befriend (aka capture) various wild Digimon, DNA digivolve them with other Digimon you already have, and then raise the new Digimon from it's base level all over again. I personally think it has the capability to be a good game, but I could never get into it too much when I was a kid due to the reasons stated in this comment, unfortunately

@@matthewkuscienko4616 it's the dungeon that actually the weak point, the mid to end game dungeon is having too many floor to clear and you can't save mid dungeon. it's possible to use save state in emulator, but back then playing through 15+ floor dungeon is a pain
Digimon World 2 is a cult classic for me, it was the first to get me patient when training my Digimon. The Cyber Sleuth games, I am happy that came by. Wish I could play Digimon Adventure, looks like a fun time to play games based on anime with some added perks!

I know i am a part of the small fanbase for my fav digimon game. But world 4 was what brought me back into the franchise. It also introduced me to dungeon crawling and top down gameplay styles. I would LOVE to see Bandai remaster and update it with a pc port. I have some freind who would play with me it they added online support T^T
I will admit that world 4 wasn't my favorite. But, I did quite enjoy it as well. My only complaint was at a certain point in time the game was killed for me when my friend hard core grinded my veemon to like...500 or something. at that point i just couldn't. though i still have some good memories of it.
I enjoyed playing World 4 co-op with friends, but coming off World 3, one of my favorite games ever, was super jarring. The further I got into the game without getting an evolution just made me more and more upset.
Pretty much my opinion on 4 is that it had potential. I don't know if it's particularly solo-friendly or not, but still, but I hate the random blocking/jumping away from attacks without warning to make battles last way longer than they should in any beat-em-up, and I always wished there was more Digimon to be able to play as and an actual combo system instead of either the same one swing/shot over and over, charge attack, or techniques. Heck, a Digimon Musou game would be pretty great, I'm sure! Though this is coming from someone who's always been a big fan of Koei-Tecmo's Musou games, haha. They might even be able to pull off the battle system of Dragon Quest Heroes with it, who knows?
World 4 would fare rather well nowadays I think, with the whole co-op system much more favored in an internet environment, although dependant on reception
Digimon Wolrd was my favorite game when I was young, but Digimon World: Next Order did everything just better. IMHO open world digimon's story is the best way to do a digimon game, I love raising and training my digimon and I wish a bigger open world digimon release in the future, something like Breath of the Wild style.

Next Order was a lot more hand-holding though & whilst it made improvements, the more modern, “Hey, go here & follow your quest markers, it’s all written down” style of gameplay really took the feeling of the first game out of the franchise. World 1’s hands off method of, “Go & explore, just find cool shit - we ain’t going to tell you what to do”, was so much more fun in my eyes, as much as the raising of Digimon was a hassle, if the choice is between hassle-free Digimon raising but with a lot of hand holding, vs. a hassle to raise Digimon, but you’re exploring the world by yourself & just soaking in the mysteries. I’d always take the second option.

I never played any Digimon games, mainly because they "had nothing" to do with what I saw on the show as a kid. Until I found the english patch of the PSP game, that's basically an interactive version of the S1 animé. Absolutely fantastic game. I'll probably check Cyber Sleuth, since I recently got a Vita.
Unpopular Opinion: My favorite Digimon games is actually Digimon World 2 (the entry game for me. It was my very first digimon game which made me like the franchise.) and Digimon Rumble Arena.
It is also my favorite game of all time I guess we're supposed to be embarrassed to say that but final fantasy tactics is right up there so I guess we're okay

I’m surprised that the Digimon community for the most part doesn’t care much for Digimon World 2, especially since it has the same battle and digivolution process as Cyber Sleuth. I loved upgrading my digi-beetle and competing against other tamers in the city at the colosseum to increase my tamer rank, eventually battling against the leaders of each tamer team.
Digimon World 2 was super fun but also quirky and grind heavy. A great game overall
I've recently been playing through a bunch of my Digimon games. I managed to 100% Digimon World DS. Then I beat both Dawn and Dusk, with a preference for Dusk, and I am in the middle of Cyber Sleuth currently

The Cyber Sleuth games were absolutely fantastic and really helped reinstall my love for Digimon.
I just wish the ending to both games story wise didn't absolutely suck ass.
Well the ending is actually very similar to the Tamers ending - a sad ending definitely, but I wouldn't call it bad.
Digimon World 3 is probably still my favorite, with Dusk & Dawn after it, then Cyber Sleuth. Hopefully Survive will be pretty good.

I agree, Digimon World 2 was super addicting. I liked the grind, the dungeon crawling in the buggy was fun and challenging, the bosses were great and so was catching and raising my Digimon team.
I loved it too, back in the day. Tried picking it up again, but it's just way too slow for me now. Guess I'm spoiled lol.
Digimon world 3 for the PlayStation was the best, I don't care what anyone says. The load times were bad, but it was the best digimon game I ever played.
Digimon world 2 is my favourite of the series, it was grind heavy but that made me feel like I accomplished something after the fact. When I got my Diaboromon man that was a moment, accidentally evolving into a Plesiomon only to find out it was an absolute monster, "amazing"!

I was poor when I was a kid and jealous of when I see my cousin play Digimon World 3 on his playstation. I was only able to play it a few minutes back then. One of the first games I played when I had the money to buy my first Playstation as a working adult. I didn't care if Playstation was old already, I had to play this game before I die.

I'm kinda disappointed that Digimon World 2 wasn't here tbh. I remember when I was 15yrs old with limited playing time on our Playstation 1. I grinded and grinded like a crazy animal fighting every enemy I see on the map. Then started to look for digivolution guides on the net and made it my goal to get Omnimon, Diaboromon and Imperialdramon. The joy of getting those 3 and just absolutely stomping every enemy digimon was incredible.

i remember getting scolded from my mom because i printed a whole guide on cheatcc about every dna digivolving character haha! i really wish they remade it or made a similar game cos the ending is too abrupt, they never did say who was the gaia robot. now i feel like booting up an emulator to play! you can even 2x speed now its wild.
I still love playing Digimon World Dusk! I adore the cute pixel graphics and even though I have a vpet, its nice to see my Seadramon all the time without worrying about him dying. XD
Getting back to the world of Digimon after bit of a break; never been completely "out" but you know, I didn't watch of play anything for a couple of years or so. Now I've recently watched Tri (finally), been playing Cyber Sleuth's complete edition (Switch) and after that, I'll get to Survive. So thanks for this cool video! It's quite helpful at figuring out what else to dig into soon enough when it comes to Digimon games! :)

I grew up with Dawn/Dusk when I was a kid. I enjoyed those games despite grinding for exp to be a tedious. Then I got Cyber Sleuth/Hacker's Memory when it came to switch and it felt like a blast from the past. I beat Cyber Sleuth, but haven't beaten Hacker Memory cuz joycon drift is a pain to deal with. Debating on getting it on steam since I like grinding for achievements, and cuz PC is mater race lol

I have played almost everything, but my favorites where definitely Numbers 1 and 2 from this list! I love Cybersleuth, Hackers Memory and Digimon World 3! I also liked Digimon world 2 and Rumble arena 1 and 2, but as I said, the first 2 are unmatched.
I still can't wait for Digimon Survive. The lore alone very much interests me, but what makes it even better is the fact that I've always been a fan of turn-based tactical RPG's like it, Fire Emblem, or Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor.
I'd unfortunately not played very many Digimon games, though. I'd played both Rumble Arena games and All-Star Rumble, World 4, Adventure, Re:Digitize and Decode; the English "fanslations" of Adventure and Re:Digitize/Decode, of course; and at least the first Cyber Sleuth, but I have the Complete Edition. I'd not played Hacker's Memory yet simply because I was burned out by the time I beat the first one.
My opinion on Cyber Sleuth is rather mixed. It is good overall, but very grindy, plus after a while, it's quite easy to get a lot of Digimon to evolve and cheese the game; I did it even without intending to. I wonder if there are any tips to go through H'sM without cheesing the difficulty, but also without actually making it hard.
All-Star Rumble was just disappointing. I could easily see the potential it had, but they ruined it and just made it insanely repetitive; especially in the story mode, which, being a solo player, matters most to me usually.
Digimon World 4, though I didn't play much, also had potential. I mostly liked it because I could very well see a possibility for a Digimon Musou game. That would be awesome!
Digimon world 4 is the first digimon game i played and loved it ive been waiting years for another digimon game like that to come out, but that hasn't happened and other digimon games just dont have the same excitement as digimon world 4 did to me

Digimon Dusk was my first Digimon game and I fondly remember it and the soundtrack was amazing. New order sucked only because your Digimon died if you couldn’t dig I love them after a certain amount of time - it was stressful cause I wanted my favorite Digimon. Cybersleuth was good.
I have both Digimon World Dawn and Dusk, both were great games. Too bad I never really learned how to do the more difficult Digivolutions.
The best I knew how to do was train Pokémon to gain experience on specific types like Machine or Dragon by defeating them and getting experience. I also knew how to use equipment to increase some of the stats until they were high enough for evolution.
Besides that I didn’t understand DNA or other forms of Digivolutions.
For me it's Digimon world 2 , the music alone makes it number 1 for me .

World 3 and Cyber Sleuth/Hacker's Memory were far and away the best games of the bunch. World 2's grinding was tedious, but after studying the online guides, it becomes less of a chore to play. Honorable mention to Rumble Arena for being such a fun, arcade-style fighter.
the original digimon world is very nostalgic to me but i remember never getting very far because my digimon just kept dying so id have to start over and over and over again. digimon world 3 remains my favorite to this day.
I love Digimon, I couldn't get enough of Digimon World, Digimon World 2 and Digimon world 3, I owned them all and played them untill the very discs got too scratchy to run anymore. I don't think another game has caught the many hours I had collected as digimon franchise did. Lets home the future of Digimon Gaming is bright.

Growing up I played the first 3 Digimon World games and Rumble Arena on PlayStation and Digimon Dawn on DS. I haven't played any of the more recent games yet but I'm gonna start playing Cyber Sleuth soon on Switch.
I’ve played Digimon World DS, Dawn/Dusk, Cyber Sleuth and Hackers Memories, and ReArise. Puppetmon was a pain to get in Dusk. Better in Cyber Sleuth but still tedious. Still have to play the earlier ones.

Various of the presented games never made it to Europe or at least in my country. Only ever got to play Digimon World, followed by Digimon World 3, my fav game is Rumble Arena. Loved the voice clips and images shown of the Digidestined and Tamers for the battles alongside the amusing Smah-like gameplay.
I have yet to play Stories Cybersleuth. Was for a long while reallyupset that the PSP Digimon Adventure RPG never came overseas. Would have enjoyed to play that in an RPG format.

While I don't disagree with Cyber Sleuth/Hacker's Memory being at #1, the lack of any placement for Digimon World 2 is mind boggling to me!
I don't know about you guys, but I played Digimon world 3 (American version) and I was so happy with it. Took me around 200 hours to finish as a kid because I was not great at English. In fact it's the main reason why I got better at English as a kid.
But then I realized there was DIGIMON WORLD 2003! (International version), and you could do more after beating the final boss! I was like * gasp * more digimon for me? (*o*) YES!

I've only recently gotten into the Digimon games, and I have to say that I' surprised on how Cybersleuth stands. Its a really interesting game without having to really grind forever to get the digimons you really want, along side it's interesting story. I didn't know that Mirei was in the other digimon games tho. The more you know I guess. Streaming it has been a whole lot of fun, and IM sure I'll be playing it and min maxing it for a while.
I have very fond memories of Digimon World 3, called 2003 in France (and Europe I believe) as we never had Digimon World 2. I would really love a remake of this game.
Also fun fact about the french version of Digimon World 1 (no idea if that happened in the other EU copies), we had a bug around the Ogre Fortress which it was impossible to bypass the Agumon guarding the entrance so we could never finish the game back then.
Nowaday, it is apparently possible to bypass the bug.

I did play most of Digimon games such as from PS1, PS2, Sega saturn, DS, 3DS and Swicth. Some of it I played with a ROM and emulator. For Sega Saturn games, most of it are in Japanese so I need to search for walkthrough to play but it was really enjoyable moment. I spent most on Tag Tamers. Each tittle do have a memories for me. But as for all time favourite I also choose Cyber Sleuth. Its fit my liking for an RPG monster catching game. I still waiting for Survive to release. Let's all pray for the release soon.
Digimon World 2 got me into the franchise. I loved it. Yes, it has a slow, wonky level-up system but damn it, it's MY slow, wonky, level-up system! Though 3 was pretty good too. The utter joy I felt after working so hard to get Beelzamon and Gallantmon, heck ya.

But my childhood game was on Digimon World 4 and will hold special place in my memory.

I do understand why it doesn't fit on this top 10 digimon game...prolly because it was hated after digimon world 3 success...but still i like this game and prolly kids from my neighborhood also like it
