Tutorial of a simulation consisting on a multiphase flow (air-water) in which a 3D tank is filled with liquid water. #Ansys #AnsysFluent #CFD #AutoDeskInventor
I need to do this simulation, but the entry point is horizontal and it already has water (about 50%) and air (50%), and I have a piston that pushes the fluids forward.
I actually do the same as you 100% but when starting the calculation an error occurs: Floating point exception. Do you know how to solve this problem, thanks. I'm using Ansys Student 2023.
One option is to run this simulation until your mold is full with fluid. Then go to Report definitions -> Flow Time -> Compute, then you would get the time it took to fill the mold.
NGL the music makes this tutorial so enjoyable.
Hi Sir, do we need to specify which level is the water surface? Where there is interface between water and air since this is open surface flow.
am i the only one who really just vibe to the music
Hello, is there any chance to learn how much water is being filled wrt time?
can you make a drain tank analaysis
whats the cad file format. I used STL to import into Workbench but I am not able to use Design Modeler.
you have to use IGES or STEP format

Hi, you can set the materials that are already in the tank in initialization ---> patch :)

How to find pouring time (mold cavity filling time) using Ansys

@@fluentsetup1232 Thank you. It's working.
