  • เผยแพร่เมื่อ 17 ส.ค. 2024
  • In this tutorial, multiphase fluid flow analysis has been carried out. The primary phase is air and the secondary phase is water. The empty container gets filled with water. This a two-dimensional, transient analysis.
What you will learn from this tutorial?
    - Creating 2D geometry in ANSYS.
    - Eulerian multiphase modeling.
    - Creating triangular cells in meshing.

Thanks for the informative video. I simulated exactly same scenario in which error popped up while converging. Finally, it converged by reducing time step size.

Sometime divergence because of meshing, decreasing the time step size helps.

Hello, Can you help me on similar type of problem. I have a tank, where the water will be flowing in from top (which will be inlet) and will be drained or sucked using a pump from side.
Since the tank will be empty initially, the water level inside the tank should reach the level of drain pipe (to consider, the drain pipe is located 1m from bottom). Once the water level reached this level, we need to drain the water using pump.

Hi...best hands-on for multiphase Eulerian flow...I have a doubt ..After Run, animation/time steps stop after impact on the lower wall...says "Global Courant number is greater than 250.00 The
velocity field is probably diverging. Please check the solution and reduce the time-step if necessary." I thought of changing mesh to change the characteristic time but since it worked for you shouldn't it work for me too?
edit: I tried making the mesh smaller by doubling the edge mesh to 2 times...now the solution runs until a quarter filling of the tank but then diverges

Hi. Thank you so much for the video. This is my first multiphase simulation.
The error that is throwing is : global courant number is greater than 250. Velocity field is probably diverging. Please check the solution and reduce time step if necessary.
Should I reduce the time step size and start the simulation from beginning? Because when I’m reducing from 0.001 to 0.0005 it’s still throwing the error.

after initializing the solver, you need to assign which results you want to see in the result output window, according to that you can get the pressure and velocity at any particular point or zone w.r.t time.
