It would really be awesome if you two could find a way to partner more. Like consolidate branding a bit and work together! The chemistry between you two is really great, and the balance between you i or your styles is very complementary, I’ll still watch most of both your videos although the quality of content is so much better with both of you there!

As someone who follows you from in your shed: I absolutaly LOVE watching your vids, they're one of the things that help me getting trough some rough years in my life. Bit that's a different story. I really liked this (kind of) episode and if you don't mind me saying: I really believe it's for the better that you and Matt are going back to the "old" formula of keeping it just for the bigger or special things every now and then. You guys where way more spontanious back then. I missed that feeling the last couple of episodes.
It's better to make this descision now than when its possible to late and maybe cost your friendship.

Maybe you and Matt could get a even bigger studio and split it in two, split the costs and everything !!! You'd then be partner, each one with his own section, working on your own things and on your own channel, but you'd still see each other every day !! Wouldn't be so lonely !

Now, saying that, just make sure that you and he still do the occasional collaboration videos and guest spots on each other's channels. Matt was a great addition to the channel. Instead of just being an employee you should have made him an equal partner. I could see you guys expanding to a huge studio with endless possibilities, with both of you doing quite well as a team.
I love these maintenance updates because you do a great job with initial setup and getting started but I always wonder how much work goes into keeping the live plants going down the road. I am sorry to hear we get less MD/Matt but happy for Matt's channel growing because he provides a different view of the hobby that pairs well. Love your work, keep it going!

This is going to be very unpopular opinion but for me md has given Matt the platform to be successful clearly shown him how to set up a successful social media platform and the moment he has he’s gone . That’s how I feel and mds face looks like that’s how he feels to. He’s not going to say that but that’s how it looks to me and that’s honestly how I would feel to .

New to this hobby. I started with a second hand 200ltr tank and a bunch of accessories and NO knowledge base! So endless U Tube videos and reading. Your videos have been most helpful in this regard. So all planted out and scaped now; looking forward to gradual introduction of fish, clean up gang et al. Many thanks for your expert advice in helping me in my new quest! Appreciated!

I’m kind of gutted that we won’t get to watch you two bouncing off each other as much anymore.
I thought it would happen for a bit longer tbh, especially after you welcoming him to the studio and buying him a sofa/his own work space, but if he’s still coming over sometimes to help it should be fun to watch your antics.
I respect that you have encouraged Matt and supported him starting/maintaining his own YT channel. Without you, he probably wouldn’t have been able to grow his channel so fast, so he’s lucky in that sense.

Like many, when I saw the title, I was in a slight panic. “Oh my gosh, did MD and Matt have a falling out? What happened???” Was my initial thought. Then I was quickly reassured that that’s not the case and I’m very happy about that.
Matt is incredibly lucky to have someone to help him get through that scary transition and it warms my heart to hear that Matt’s channel is successful enough where that scariness isn’t so much that he feels he still needs you as a security blanket. I’m sure you both will collaborate with each other in the future and I can’t wait to see what is in store for the both of you!! I built my mbuna tank about the same time you did yours. I have the same results here! They are thriving, they are doing so well that I had 2 or 3 spawning already and now I have almost doubled the population and I don't know what to do LOLOL. I love them, they are active and really nice to watch. I have a bunch of anubias on the tank as well and they are doing great. I need to work on the amount of waste tho. The powerhead you have might be the solution for me as well.
Some of the best content came from this team up and I'm glad I got to tag along and will be following both you and Matt future projects but please drop us all some videos with you both vibing doing tank things😁
I was struggling with 12 tanks! Had to take it down to 6 over the winter.
I think you both will do a great job. I learn alot by watching these videos. I'm glad you use natural elements within the tanks. I'd like to see you complete more saltwater tanks.

Don’t get me wrong talked to Matt loads of time in the shop always sought him out very knowledgable on all fish but never comes across as good on his home videos.after all you took him to America gave him all those tanks to work with you’ve been very polite in what you said about him good on you probably still a kick in the balls.
