I'm a big fan of folks who restore (or even restomod if done tastefully) the classic first-wave Japanese motorcycles. I'm old enough to remember when they were new to Americans and the Beach Boys included their song "Little Honda" on one of their first albums. Listening to it, I've always pictured a CB160 as the bike Mike Love and Brian Wilson were thinking of when they penned the song. I have a particular soft spot for the Honda line of "Dream" bikes. Around 1977, I purchased a sorta' tired 1967 Honda 305 Dream in black color. In my own youthful & amateurish way, I "restored" the bike to looking and running pretty nice. The electric start still worked! It came with an archaic aftermarket leather & plexiglass full-coverage windscreen which I'd use during inclement weather. Man, those handlbars would sure buzz my hands numb at any speed over 45 mph. And I always wanted to find one of the aftermarket big-bore kits which increased engine size to 350cc. Probably just as well that I didn't.
Beautiful!
Had a CB160 in high school 55 years ago. Owned many bikes since then but that one still has a place in my heart. Did everything well.
Same here, my dad a merchant seaman brought it from Japan for me.
I met my wife on that bike, that was 52 years ago!
Married 52 years, met in 1968!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
