Just some Trivia for y'all. David Letterman asked these guys to come on his show but he only allowed 3 minutes for a song Collective Soul turned him down. A couple weeks later he got so many request he actually rearranged his entire show to give them the 4 and a 1/2 minutes they needed for this entire song. That's a lotta respect coming from David Letterman..!!

Collective Soul has a lot of great songs. My personal favorite is "December".
First time I heard this song I was about 30 years old and sitting in a pub in country New South Wales, Australia somewhat inebriated. Great headbanging song when you've tipped a few tins back!

Use to have this on cassette tape. Love collective soul. One of my many favorite 90s bands. Awsome that you reviewed this song.
My first concert was them and aerosmith and they both rocked it out.
Cassette like 93 or 94. Amazed me as a 6 year old kid, fell in love with Rock since. The lyrics made me think about God. Imagine a 6 year old pondering such a thought.

My favorite band growing up, listening this song on my Walkman on the bus as young teen in 93. Listening to them till Today. Their Best album is from the blue album. (2nd album)
That "whoooooaho" sounds so familiar but nothing else does. I like that bridge though with the riffs and the "yeah", XD, dunno why that's so cool to me

This song always takes me back to my preschool and kindergarten period, I remember going to my school's harvest festival during Halloween time and I was Peter Pan! I always associate this song with that time since it was a new song and played on the radio a lot. :)

Great reaction. Brings back memories as well. You should try December by Collective Soul as well. Collective Soul was one of those groups that sort of fell through the cracks for me. I was more listening to The Pumpkins, Alice in Chains, early Pearl Jam and The Stone Temple Pilots and for some reason just never listened to Collective much until later.
