    Hi, thanks for the great tutorial. I have a question: wouldn't it be easier to replace the entire wheel hub with another hub (new or from a car junkyard)? Replacing the wheel bearing only seems a lot more work to me in comparison with replacing the entire hub or am I missing something?

      On the front wheel bearing for this car , you cannot just replace the hub unless you find a second hand one . They don’t tend to recommend second hand ones because you don’t know the history and you may need to change it soon after .
      I did change the rear wheel bearing assembly in a Honda civic which came as a totally replaceable part . That was an easy unbolt and bolt on job .

    When you say Toledo hub remover do you mean originally designed for seat Toledo ?

      Toledo was the actual brand of the hub removal tool . Similar to buying Stanley or other brands.

    Why not just use the gear puller with out the slide hammer ??

    • @Dentinvent
      @Dentinvent  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Good question. A gear puller cannot fit onto the hub . The gear puller would have to be enormous to fit over the hub .
