Went to see him in in Sandwich. It’s was so nice to see someone up close and personal I grew up watching on tv. So talented and was a really nice guy. I will be going to see him again next year when he comes back. A genuine nice man. Still going strong with a beautiful voice and sharp as a pin. Thank you John for so many years of entertainment and many more to come. What a true American treasure. 💕
I'm surprised they did not mention his sitcom with Sally Field, "The Girl With Something Extra" co-starring Teri Garr, Jack Sheldon, Henry Jones, and Zohra Lampert. It only lasted one season, but I really enjoyed it when I watched it as a 13 year old in the 1973-74 TV season on NBC. John Davidson happened to be performing at a small venue at a hotel-casino in Reno, NV where I stopped overnight when I was driving from Virginia to California to start graduate school in August of 1983. With nothing else to do after dinner that evening, I decided to go to his show. He gave a great performance. He was a great singer and raconteur with amusing anecdotes. He also had great stage presence, energy, and charisma. I'm glad I saw him in a live performance.
I think everyone should be wearing a tee-shirt with his picture from Walmart. I would like an autographed photo! Hes a famous as I always wished I could be.
John Davidson - the ultimate entertainer and showman for so many decades! And still looking good with great hair and smile! Singing and entertaining people still makes him so happy. So glad he is living a joyful fulfilling life with music!
John Davidson has a true zest for life and I find his spirit absolutely intoxicating ! That wasn't always the case. His cheesecake manner really bugged me when I was a disenchanted hippie type in the 60's but the more I lightened up the more I got onboard with his delightful persona. Gee he's great! And his voice is in wonderful shape. It must be his good living. Thanks for posting this.
He was at Newark nj airport one day years ago picking up his mother in laws dog but they wouldn't give him the dog I worked in the cargo area at the airport and I happened to be there and I told the chick that wouldn't give him the dog this is John Daidson don't you watch TV he's famous they knew me and they gave him dog he was happy thanked me. But then the dog shit all over the place. He had to clean it up that's all I could do and I left.
While John Davidson never had a hit single, he did have a Top 20 album and charted four other albums on the Billboard Top 200. "... never had a hit album" is not quite true.
Davidson and Carol Burnett worked together on the TV series ON BROADWAY TONIGHT . Burnett was one headliners and Davidson was one of the newcomers . Those son of a preacher man types have a certain something .
Carol Marlowe was the high point of his acting career. My friends and I have seen that "Streets of San Francisco" episode at least 4 times. Lots of laughs and by the end of the hour everyone is just a little drunk. One guy, Randy, likes to strut around, lips pursed, saying Carol's campy dialogue. Tommy, one of the other guys, thinks that Randy is convincing as a femme guy, maybe just a little too suspicious.
He has amazing hair, truly lucky. I saw he’s wearing it even longer now in a ponytail (2023). Not a fan of that but his voice and exuberance make me feel like this guy is going to live well into his 90’s! Still charismatic.
He has plenty of talent and what a doll he always was especially those georgeous dimples. I always had a crush on him. His voice and looks really got me. A hunk

He was/is a charming entertainer.👍
He is still handsome as ever.
John was so funny on Hollywood Squares.
I love his little white dog. Bless him and his wife for rescuing that little cutie.
❤❤❤❤❤
Gotta love Ringo taking selfies at 2:45 with his Polaroid camera 30 years before it was even a thing.

I didn't care for John when I was a kid but I appreciate his talent now....
Use to see him at Disney in Florida a lot for the "Star of the Day." You have to appreciate his hustle.
That "Cop show" was *The Streets of San Francisco* a *classic* show!
Like so many women at the time, I thought he was so handsome and those dimples.
His performance on Streets of San Francisco was Emmy worthy. I'd love for that full show to show up on YT.
I adored in back in the day and he is still so handsome!!🥰🥰
I believe he won an Emmy for his part in Streets of San Francisco.
He was nominated but didn't win.
He was such a good singer and actor. And had great hair

I love John for who he is and he's always been cute but I was never attracted to him like that. I just love who he is that's what so appealing!

Check out John singing The classic song The more I see you
A GREAT rendition
You will play over and over again
He's put on a little weight and let his hair grow longer, but his voice and smile haven't changed a bit!
I just read where he admitted he's an atheist.

Another celebrity who refuses to change his hairstyle 🤣

John is a talented guy...I wonder why he chose New Hampshire to retire to.....
He's from New England.
@@dianemorrissey9764 He was originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He also appeared in "The Happiest Millionaire" and hosted "Time Machine" too!
cuz it's quiet & gorgeous here.
John is so much more talented and way better looking than Jonny Carson was . No comparison. 😊
As a guy born in 1958 I always thought Davidson was an amazing no talent, never understood the the appeal of this guy, always struck me as a no talent.
