The bullshido stuff is really painful to me because not only does the swordsman completely comply all the time but also uses a completely wrong technique. They almost always prepare for attack by telegraphing it and pulling the sword so far back you'd think they're trying to reach around the globe and hit their oponent in the back.
This gives me flashbacks to playing Chivalry and doing the overhead slash while looking up at the sky and turning my back to the opponent. It was pretty much a way to cheat without actually cheating.
Another thing these demonstrations frequently get wrong: they don't "follow the blow." The swordsman only starts to move their hands after they starts stepping in. They should start the attack first, and thus present a threat to his opponent, before closing in. But the way they do it, they just step in while completely exposed, giving the "master" free rein to do whatever they want.
And not even some of the "attacks" make sense. Like with the big log--Why would you swing it _overhead_ to intercept a swing. Why wouldn't you _rotate_ it out from you're side to catch the strike?
@@marhawkman303 Not to mention the fact that carrying around a heavy object would slow the person down and make it easier to fight them. The guy would be more of a threat without the log.

4:28 Also the way he swung it was very tentative and deliberate as tho he knew it was going to fall off on that swing. +The "swing" that preceeds the break is obviously just panning the handle from left to right whilst keeping the blade ballanced inside the loose tang connection 😏
12:28 Literal mall ninja! Re: swords and the Second Amendment: Since the U.S. no longer follows the letter of the 2A, swords are often not protected by it, nor are knives, nunchaku, and other melee or throwing weapons. States and cities almost always have laws restricting what kinds of blades can be sold, owned, or carried. On top of that, even in places where owning such a weapon is legal, carrying a sword in public is often deemed a public disturbance because it's not a "normal" thing to do. The same justification is used to harass or arrest people carrying rifles or shotguns in places with explicit open-carry laws. If the person is carrying the weapon in their hands, that can be considered brandishing and threatening, but sheathed or slung is just "bearing" and _should,_ by the wording of the 2A, be protected. But hey, we've decided that "arms" doesn't include machineguns, explosives over 1/4 oz., guns with barrels under a certain length, or _suppressors,_ so why should it include literally anything else?
In my state there is no law banning openly carrying a sword as they would be classified by law as a "bowie knife or like kind". However, it would be illegal to try and conceal a sword on your person. We have permitless carry as well, but brandishing a weapon, whether a knife, sword, or firearm, is illegal and that's where stupidity really comes into play with the Four Rules being ignored.
Guns may technically be more dangerous when mishandled, but with blades the wounds always look more painful, and it's more relatable as most people have cut themselves before, where as very few have been shot. There was a video recently that I'm surprised want on this video, with some girl doing a tick tock thing where they pretend to stab, but she was using a real knife and her wrist was so limp she managed to slice down her face, and just thinking about it makes me cringe.
the last clip, when you mentioned it was in the states, i was relieved it wasn't the one where the deranged neckbeard who claimed he was related to Dionysus charged police with a katana

Also the way he swung it was very tentative and deliberate as tho he knew it was going to fall off on that swing.
+The "swing" that preceeds the break is obviously just panning the handle from left to right whilst keeping the blade ballanced inside the loose tang connection 😏

Re: swords and the Second Amendment:
Since the U.S. no longer follows the letter of the 2A, swords are often not protected by it, nor are knives, nunchaku, and other melee or throwing weapons.
Google buys youtube, youtube gets horrible search and way more ads than needed 🤯
I’m appalled! Haven’t you ever seen the slow-motion log defense before?
Advantage of swords vs guns: You don't run out of ammo.
Try finding sword fails on sites other than youtube for us, Shad and Tyranth, they’re out there!
Good Vid 🎉
I secretly want Shad to put up a flailing sword shitpost complete with Windows Movie Maker title cards and desynced audio.
Still remember the fail where the QVC guy is trying to sell cheap Katana and smacks it twice on the counter then the tip goes seek and destroy...
That 3rd fail: pretty sure that’s the “El Cid” wall hanger
Shad: We don't like assault.
Tyranth: Well there's one that's funny so....
My dream of EDCing a telephone pole for self-defense have been shattered.
It's not a video but I myself have a relatively minor sword fail. Just gotten a new gladius was super excited doing practice swings and such around the apartment underestimated the length of the blade and sliced my foot open
Tyranth is watching like: o_O -- Shad watching like: BAHAHAHAHAHA
#1 is definitely (badly) edited, because the lighting changed SUDDENLY when he hit the water bottle.
Keep these coming
Everybody's gangsta until they hit their lights.
