You guys are amazing. Your reasons for making the videos are spot on. We can be privileged to watch them, but they should be for yourselves. There are plenty of channels out there that are pumping out videos, but it feels that they are entertainment first and foremost, the project is just the method they entertain. They don’t have anywhere near the soul that your channel has. Very sorry to hear about Elsie. Two of our girls made it to 18 and 20, senior cats are very special and it is very hard to say goodbye.
Thank you so much for this, Ashley. I think you’ve been with us almost from the beginning and your words of support have always meant a lot to us. It really is lovely to read your comments. All the best from both us us 😎🚚🤓 And yes, senior cats are indeed very special 🐾
If you are restoring vehicles, houses or taking on any other big project, the last 10% of the job always seems to take up 40% of the time. When Jackie Chan was asked about the secret of success he said "work hard and don't give up". Your nearly there and it's looking good.
Thanks, Michael. Yep, there are always more ‘bits’. Tim must keep them squirreled away all over the place ‘cos they just keep appearing! But yes, I think we are getting there 😎
Love the video! Love the project! And Tim is amazing! 4 years on the same project and still maintaining the highest standards!!! PS - I still keep expecting to hear Kevin Bacon's voice every time Tim talks. 😀
Well this is the first time I've weighed in on your mammoth and awe inspiring shenanigans. I kind of really felt for you. Keep that smile, the vision and keep hope in your heart. Being a cat mum to two cats i feel the pain of your loss. Time will do its healing thing. Keep on keeping on. Love Ali x
Thanks for weighing in 😎 & for the kind words too. We were lucky enough to have both cats into their senior years, Elsie especially who was 19, but we sure do miss them 🐾 Thanks for watching 🚚🏴☠️
Well worth the wait! Brilliant stuff - impressive job on the getting the chassis back rolling. Now about this "videos on a Thursday" business -you are just determined to throw off my whole week aren't you!🤣 Keep on keeping on - can't wait for the next one (love the teaser at the end)
Hi Lisa and Tim, you guys are making great progress on the restoration build of the Fire Truck/camper, that colour of thevengine looked a very pale cream, just don't forget and over extend yourselves, very best regarcs from a Kiwi living in Australia, Les PS: My dream restoration would be a RL Bedford
Thanks so much, Les 😎 We were very tempted by the RLs, but decided they were just a bit too old for our purpose. Lovely trucks though. The engine colour is old English white, same as the cab roof and the other parts we’ve painted ‘white’. It is much more vintage cream than it looks on camera.
Great progress, and looking tiptop. Don’t concerned yourselves with appeasing the video gods, do it for yourselves. Makes it more watchable in my opinion. Now chop chop and get that engine in😁
Just between you and me, the engine is in 😉 Will hopefully bring you an update in the next few, er, months 😁 Cheers for following. Always good to hear from you 😎
Strange that you took off the hub to mount the drum. Makes it so much heavier and potential to damage the rear hub seal when mounting. I'm working on a 1960 Scania at the moment and those drums are probably over 30 kg, and I'm very happy they are separate from the hub. The front on my own 1967 Mercedes LA911 are a joined unit of both hub and drum, it's manageable, but I wish it was separate. Your project is looking great and going forward
I think he did it like that the first time to make sure he had it all put together properly where he could work on it easier, but with the other one he put the drum on with the hub mounted in place. It’s all a bit trial and error around here and I think they have to come off again at some point (he’ll use a jack, hopefully!) Glad to hear you’re enjoying the project and thanks for the comment 😎
Tim, Lisa, really awesome to see you back again, I was genuinely concerned for you both, thinking illness may have gotten the better of you both as it’s been a long haul for you both…..guys, just really pleased to see you both well and Tim, appreciated your chat. Tim the motor turned out splendidly, I think you made the right decision doing your checks and then getting it painted. Sorry about Pickles, pets are just on loan but it’s hard to say goodbye isn’t it. Lovely episode…… and did I say how great it is to see you both well….cheers from AUS
Thank you. That’s very kind of you ☺️ Good to hear you enjoyed the video. Thanks for sticking with us. We’ll try not to leave it too long until the next one 😎🚚🤓
Great to see you back, hugs from Adelaide
Thank you! 😊
Long awaited but worth it.. Oustanding workmanship as ever Tim... 👍
Cheers, Martin 🚚😎
Good to see you back
Thank you 🙏

I literally said to Tim … ‘putting this out on a Thursday will mess Chris right up!’ 😆😆😆

Observation: Are the rear axel bearings lubricated with the axel fluid ? If not, don’t forget to grease the axel bearings. 😎
They are indeed lubricated 👌🏻😎
image of Tim on the tent at 15.23 ?
😁
how are you again lol. Tim's starting to look & act like Jack sparrow lol.
Cap’n Tim is more of a Land Pirate these days. But once a pirate, always a pirate 🏴☠️😉
