- Pretty easy task, just 12 screws in the back and then slowly work your way around the edges. Don't go too fast or you'll break the plastic tabs.

Looks easy. This is exactly what I was looking for. I will think twice before I pay $$$ when it is something that I can do. When getting a battery I supposed I will need to locate the full model number. My computer looks just like the one you showed and it turns back like that, as well. Does Acer have any other computers that does this? I went to purchase another Acer computer when I thought this computer had a major issue when I moved. Sad to say the store where I went only had Asus. I bought that... and hated it. The keyboard seemed so clunky. I took my Acer to get fixed- somehow the hard drive was bad- I cannot understand that. Got a new one and gaver Asus to relative. Acer- is so much better... if I have to use a PC. Normally, I am an Apple person. Some things I must do on PC , though
Returned after 2 months to re watch the video. I wish I would have used the links above for the battery. I did go to Amazon , but the one I got had some bad reviews as far as life has to go. I guess I will have to find out first hand. I just cannot see paying Mr. Good Buy too much when it is this simple. I have an older model from 2016 or so. Wish I knew more about switching to a SSD hard drive.

Thank you for the video. I have a question. What kind of battery does this laptop have? Does not seem like a pencil cell make. Mine makes too much noise like liquid/electrolyte is flowing within battery and I fear it has already started to build up in the cell pouch. Sometimes I fear it will burst. Is this noise normal? Is the spare battery available?
Definitely not normal, you can find replacements on ebay or amazon, sometimes AliExpress as well
🤔 I've never heard of a lithium battery breaking down to produce water nor any liquids. Maybe you're hearing your blower as you rotate your laptop because if you get any liquids inside a lithium battery, she's going to 🔥💥🔥 spectacularly. These are regular mobile phone style cells, I've never had a laptop use those until this one! It's odd to see that, but it's a great laptop!
I'm here just looking for any possible variations on this series of laptops to check for visible deviations in the blower, mine is about to go out any day!

No, this model only has the m.2 SSD, there's no room for the 1TB 2.5" drive
Does this support nvme ssd? recently I installed 500 GB NVME SSD, Now Every time I restart my pc the SSD disappeared from the BIOS and I need to turn on and off the pc in order to work. Please suggest

Does anyone looking for a video on how to open this model of laptop needs to know how to remove 12 screws? Of course not... Does he need to know how to pry open the top and to see how the acer engineers designed the mechanism that clips the top in place? YES! Does your video shows that? No because the camera was so close that we can't see any of this most important step.

@@tkf6449 I am not into computers and my battery is on the sick side. I do appreciate your video. While I have been inside my previous computers I have not changed the battery in a laptop before. When I go inside the computer I like to know where everything is located beforehand. So @AlainVoit if this video is not helpful to you, move on over. There are those of us that appreciate that TK F took the time for those of us who may need assistance.
