Fikir Amlak | "Bless the Place" | Interview | Album Review

Fikir Amlak, based in Los Angeles, CA, is a phenomenal reggae and dub artist whom I would describe is after the school of the late Vaughn Benjamin of Midnite/Akae Beka, the sort of rare artists who are prolific writers/poets, deep thinkers, cerebral personalities, and well-read.
I got to ask Fikir Amlak many questions, mostly in the context of his 2019 album, “Bless the Place”. Lyrically and sonically, "Bless the Place" is of such superb quality that it boggles my mind that I had missed this artist and his music for so long!
