Wire wheel in a grinder, 100% effective against rust. Evaporust is also worth adding to your POL Cabinet 🤘
👍
Hi Alex the kits worked fine on my Talbot. The levers each side are for when they were Van's. It adjusts the height of beam from a fulley laden van to empty. Otherwise main will be shining up when loaded as back goes down with weight . Back to lights by drilling the lights and using the other nuts it allows for the headlight to dangle swing so hardly any tension on plastic tube ball joints. I didn't heat mine. But again my as Talbot
Thanks George, I don't think the instructions with mine mentioned drilling the lights 🤔 still it doesn't seem a very satisfactory solution for £18!
Never mind, I need to go back and adjust them, at least I have lights now 🙂
Hi Alex, I always admire your attitude to overcoming problems and never making a big fuss about it, and you certainly had good reason to complain about those replacement parts you bought! As always, you'll find a way around the problem.
Are you going to show us the repair to Nikki's bike?
Thanks Robert
There should be a video out on Nikki's bike soon. Unfortunately it's still not entirely resolved 😕
Great video,I seem to remember a solid plastic bullet, that took thread and ball , remember selling them ,that tubes a joke ,never going to hold permanently, looking forward to next installment 👍👍👍🇬🇧🇬🇧👍👍👍
I wasn't impressed with the tube thing at all!
Alex, you can put your side lights and headlight bulbs in from inside the engine compartment. You can turn the levers to a certain point, then do the final adjustment on the screw, I managed to turn my offside lamp in enough so I don't need the deflectors, this was on my Talbot, you maybe able to do the same on your Citron.
Thanks, I'll have a try at setting them up soon 👍
@@ttxela I took mine to Halfords, they said it would cost me £10 but then the man did not charge me, it took all of 2 minutes.
While replacing my headlights I hade a similair problem with the adjustmentbolthead popping out.
The easy solution was a loop of metalwire to keep it in place.
It can still be adjusted.
The original headlights had fewer adjustment options.
Thanks, I might try that 👍
Well pick me up of the floor. Those adjusters are a ridiculous price. Ill be making my own and I'm sure Ill come up with something much better and much cheaper, as I sure you yourself could also do. I agree total waste of money. Hex coupling nuts spring to mine. You are Great for having a go at things Alex really admire you. I've been a little busy with my toy also. These new lights are looking real well, very nice indeed. I also ned head lights Ill buy lefts but change the lens over with my own. Love your humour Alex great one liners. Cant wait until the next episode.
Yes, definitely expensive for what they are. It's the floppy tube thing that let's them down.
Hi Alex.did you do a video showing we're to fit the beam deflector on the o/s
I now have the same problem not being able to get the lens.
Thanks in advance. 👍
If I recall correctly the instructions that came with my beam deflectors weren't that clear. It's a while ago now but I think there is a centreline on the lens to line them up with?
@@ttxela thanks alex👍
Hi Alex 👋 thanks for this update 🤔den and sue 👍👍👍🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🚌🚌🚌
Thanks 👍
good job my friends
Thank you 👍
I'd really like some of those side steps where do you buy them?
They were already on the van when we bought it, a few folk have asked about them. They don't have a makers name on anywhere that I've noticed 🤔
Ooooh my. I’ve got mine to do too🙄😏🤨And I’m seriously Not looking forward to that neither Alex.
And yep I think I’ll be giving the adjustment bolts a miss too🫣😬Thanks so much matie. Another great video
But my you do have some patience chap. A lot more than I have👍😬😤🤫
Thanks, it is frustrating that they aren't a bit better at such a price!
I used threaded rod and a few nuts to do mine
I’d thread a bit of tube and join them. That pipe idea was crap! But entertaining Vlog as always 😊
Some folk report no issues with them, ah well, I see why the previous owner used those acrylic strips now.
@@ttxela I did see that in the comments. Ah well at least you did it.
Hi mate. I think 🤔 a threaded rod and nuts would probably work.
Yes, I wish I'd done that from the start 😕
I have replaced a few adjusters and even the manufacturers ones can be wrong.
They seem overly fragile affairs on most vehicles 🤷🏽♂️
Hi Alex good job I would send them back you will get a refund mate..
Sadly I threw away all the packaging or I'd be temped to!
Weng carroseri have in Norway
Good to know 👍
