I think the most annoying thing about Valorant, is that the game rewards players for top fragging in games. A 13-3 victory with match MVP gives me like +24 or +25 RR, while a loss at the bottom of the leaderboard gives -24 RR. I don't know if Valorant will ever fix this, but I feel like this is an issue with the game since players are obsessed with KD.
@@thegamer-xf6fv fair enough although fixing the issue is quite hard, the mmr equation are fixate to your KDA, so even though you lose rr, your mmr can increase even if you lose a game. Soooo maybe if you gain enough you can double rank up.
Coming from someone that has met a duo partner that has the same goal as me, which is to become insane in aim, we are aiming to help each other find one another's weakness by watching each other's vods. I am also keeping track of each play I do, making sure to adapt, improve or scrap the play. I play Omen as my main with over 800hours, and clearly I have been leisurely playing him as I have peaked Ascendant, but recently been winning more and more games by truly mastering Omen's kit. Was hardstuck Diamond when I peaked Ascendant as I was determined with consistently improving my Kovakks high score each day, and I wouldn't stop until I did. This made my aim close to Radiant, however it dropped off when I stopped doing it. Now months later, I am redoing it again with my duo, and well. 1 day in the Aim Training and were popping off.
@@LordDranken usually for ranks below diamond, you don't need to worry much about gamesense yet cos the players in that elo is just so hard to read so the best way to climb is by working on ur aim first and just pretty much run it down and kill everyone and win rounds. this is gonna be easy until gold maybe since their aim isnt as good yet. playing a duelist such as reyna would be much easier for ur climb too since u want to be the one carrying the game, unless u have a duo then its fine to play omen.

@@LordDrankenif you are below platinum, focus strictly on mechanics, aim, movement, and the general gun mechanics, most players under plat don’t have the best mechanics, and being in those ranks and having good mechs, will make you excel above your current Elo/rank. Focus on playing more and being comfortable with the game and your mouse to aim. After reaching high gold/ low plat. Start focusing on the other aspects of the game like gamesens and strategy, so on until you reach ur desired rank

This is exactly what people needed to hear. About a week ago I decided "I'm better than these plat 1 nerds, I have a 1.4 k/d over 40 games" and then I started confidently fighting and tapping heads like it was nothing, but as I'm ranking up, I'm starting to lose that, so thank you for this.
Your advise are so on point, as a diamond 2 player that just escaped plat for not a long time, i really know the pressure when you're on your rankup game. Everytime when you gives yourself too much pressure, you're going to fail. I've discovered that my heartrate on my rankup games are 20-30 higher than a normal rank game. And around 40 when it comes to deathmatch or a custom game. I've started to play my rank games with the nervousness of an unrated or custom games. I've been hitting alot more headshots by doing that due to less shaky aim and a calm mind to think of my gameplay. I hit a hs percent of 47% on my rankup game from D1 to D2 and it feels much better than before. I've been constant hitting headshots and not doing dumb things that made our team lose a round which was a highly winnable round. Your videos are good to watch too, its not boring at all listening to your advises. Keep up the good work

Sometimes fully playing to your strengths isn't the right way to go. I became a raze main when I was hardstuck plat because I wanted to try different roles to see if that would improve my gameplay, doing this got me to Diamond because I was given an agent to carry my team, but when I got to diamond, even if I was carrying, I wasn't making my teammates better, so I could drop 30, still lost and blame my team. So I started playing agents that would help my team, Fade, Sage and would only play duelists if my team didn't have one. I suggest that you pick 2 roles to play, main one and find a agent for that role and stick to that agent so that you can fully develop yourself and feel comfortable playing that agent in every game you play, this is the advice my brother gave me when he it Immortal and I was stuck in Silver/Gold, it's his advice that got me to Diamond 2 and still climbing.

Started beeing confident as controller,went 1st in. Died because controllers do not have usually dueling abilities. Now team cant take/retake sites since choke points cant be smoked off
i also found out that playing with friends helps but not by getting carried but because you know how they play with one friend i only win when i get top frag and with other i can win when we both play average

As a gold 2 that has ranked up from bronze 1 i have 2 suggestions first find ur agent that you feel confident with(i used to play skye and i was very confident until i tried omen and everything changed)second of all have the mentality to carry every game and dont put the fault on ur teammates bcz it just makes u play better

What if I have something going on in my outside life, and it’s resulting in me having a shit mental because lately my utility and aim has just gotten worse after the mental drop
I climbed from b1 to s3 in two weeks with some aimlab and the other thing that helped me is going slow on aiming cause in low elo they most likely will miss the one tap so even if i go slower i kill them faster, plus i tried to play near the barrier at the start to try and get a pick, but only if there is a way for me to run back fast and i had great success with that
Playing to strengths is actually something i should really do... I've been playing jett recently and i am fragging so much better (i have been an omen onetrick since i started playing val)
Just a comment to myself really, but I'm not sure if it's an actual skill or that the bar is really that low but I do give simple (non intrusive) instructions to the team and reasons why they I think so and that's lead to me winning me games. Unfortunately this often leads to me performing worse in mid match but that's a hurdle I have to overcome

I played a death match yesterday and went 39-18 with a Gaurdian but when I go into a actual match I only go 12-10. The match after I go 13-8. I feel like I should be getting more frags but I don’t.

Cut the sound when you dm and pre aim every corner like you do in ranked. Your improvement will go up drastically.

Riot’s stupid RR system that promotes chasing kills is this same issue.
It really hurts thoughtful smoke/sentinel players.
