In my experience,I find that it is better to review a game that you think you did well in.This is because any mistakes that you make, will be the mistakes you make more frequently. If its a bad game, you probably made those mistakes because you weren't playing at your best.
@@oVividzthat's true, mistakes you make while you play good are the recurring mistakes. But you need to also understand why you're so inconsistent and what's holding you back from playing good all the time. If you don't learn why your bottom fragging then it might be harder to improve. You also don't wanna queue competitive when you are tilted or don't wanna play. If you wanna play but your aim is rough then you can just play unrated or do some other things to warm up.
@@ghouldiamond8745in that case maybe the best option is to review both, one where you think you have played your best and another one where you thought you made a lot of mistakes and try to find the similarities, which mistake is present in both
got yourself a sub. a video of the highest quality. No rubbish talking, straight to the point and genuinely wanted to convey his message to help out others. props to whoever is behind this channel.
This was honestly sove good needed information, I peaked plat 3 and after I got my new setup was deranged to gold/silver and now I blame all my losses on my teammates because usually I’m topfragging or always the only one with a mic, doing calls and all that, I will change my mentality, my aim is fine, but I feel like your tip with not tensing my arm is gonna help, so ty for this vid, I rlly needed this today ❤
It is better to bottom frag in some matches. So that in next game you will face slightly weaker players. Yesterday I lost 8 consecutive matches while top fragging because of my afk, instalocker duelist, smurfer and thrower team mates. Valorant don't care about afk and thrower players. They probably (through there algorithms) know which player is thrower, still valo let them play and purposely make your RR low. By doing this, they have stuck you in vicious cycle of ranking up. In this battle you never win, valorant is the real winner. I hope valorant is not the only thing you are interested in.
One advice I have for aim, is to use the Guardian. It teaches how to strafe while shooting, and also teaches you the value of headshots, plus, all the benefits the guardian has (Lower cost, High penetration stat, high headshot damage, etc.)
This is some advice that didn't really work for me. I noticed that I spam a lot and panic and I practiced with the sheriff to remove this habit. Sure, this may work for you but you need to identify the problems you have first. With the guardian, I still ended up spamming but with the sheriff, I mostly got rid of this problem. I'm still terrible, but at least I take my time now.
Now I am better with guardian, and when it comes to vandal I freak out because I have the freedom to spray. I just don’t know why but I can’t transfer it
I agree with the timing tip and can’t stress enough how important it it. The ability to naturally understand when you have little time and you need to make a move and when you have done enough and the only need to do a little more to close out the round is everything. Don’t panic and just access your surroundings, make calculated decisions and you will be 100 times further than everyone else. Lastly don’t hesitate! You shouldn’t be prompting yourselves with questions in game, if you have a feeling, do it, if it doesn’t work then that’s okay, it just means it’s a vod review for another day.
The second tip is so real. I always wondered why my aim was way better when smurfing. I would just leave it at the fact that the players I was playing were worse. But I soon realized I play way more relaxed when smurfing and dont even warm up so im very loose and fluid.
About the pro games, I would say watch breakdowns like soverign guides (I think he goes by Arien now). Watching professional streams and matches can be helpful, but their effectiveness can be nullified if you have no idea what they are doing, or what effectiveness their util has on the game. In other news, you just earned yourself a sub cuz ur awesome :)
My mentality is the opposite, I always blame myself for making my teammates lose. Even if I *supposedly* top fragged, I still blame myself for not doing good enough. Its probably because I have really high expectations on myself to like always hit this shot, hit that shot, make this crazy play, this and that. And when I fail to do it, I just feel bad.
I used to have the mindset of “my teammates suck im better” to now being comfortable with being positive, and the mindset that I might need to carry and in ways of improvement I’ve went to a 40% headshot rate and almost out of silver
Surrounding yourself by better players is the best tips probably. My duo was immo 1 when I was bronce and we used to play unrated. After Abt 1.5 years of playing I was gold and had a new duo who's silver. I now usualy drop atleast 35 kills a game in high plat/Ida lobbies and my silver duo is improving by playing in these lobbies too
keep up the good work dude. you're super underrated and have a unique way of viewing the game. I also do I like to follow the "being comfortable carrying" when it comes to the not giving up part. The vid helped a lot and I hope to see your channel grow.
i wanna add my two cents with the tension, tension isnt bad, you just have to learn how to use it. If you want to track, make sure to have very light tension as it smoothens your aim, and if your making a flick, you have to flick with light tension then when you want to stop, you increase your tension/ you could also use your mousepad's friction to stop.
These are genuinely some of the best tips I’ve seen on how to improve, this goes outside of valorant, I implemented a lot of these things when I grinded to become good at rocket league back a few years and they help insanely much, I reached top 1% at 3 times the average pace from just doing some of these things everyday. Other tips and guides videos aren’t bad but most of them focus on doing specifics these things are throughout your whole time playing something and are very important. Superb video definitely earned yourself a viewer today ❤
The second tip is so true. The difference between how I play when I'm the highest rank and when I'm the lowest rank purely because of how much I relax when I'm not the highest rank is truly hilarious
Wow amazing video, I thought it would be another generic guide video but this actually has some things I haven’t heard before and straight to the point
I like the first topic, however, the way you look at it can positively or negatively effect you. When you hold yourself at that standard to always pop off, a bad game can screw with your mental. However hold yourself at that standard can improve yourself
I've found that i got to a really high rank, dropped a lot and started blaming my teammates because...theyre obviously not as good as the ones ive had before, but im the problem. My ego is too high after hitting that rank, i think everyone is always worse than me...and i think hitting that rank actually made me worse...considering how i defer the blame away from myself
tbh i think the correct mindset is thinking everyone is worse than you, i look up to players who can carry a whole team of pros if needed, but in that case im a duelist, i have a whole kit made for fragging, i know my teammates arent objectively "worse" than me, but they're probably busy with other problems, flashing, spotting people, smoking, etc, so i have to push myself harder to kill more and make impact, if i lose i'll always have the feeling that my teammates kind of held me down, but also always worry that i just didn't have as much impact as i could've had in certain rounds.
Thank you for this!!! So much here I never thought about, and others I did think of for myself so feeling chuffed for that. I love Point 8. People calling things "cringe" is just copium. I remember a game where someone got so mad because another person was playing ratty angles, or even run-and-gunning. And I was like, "Uhh running and gunning is a perfectly valid thing to do though" (when you're at the right range ofc). It's so funny how people find reasons to get upset when they die or lose. Really important for us to instead take responsibility and learn everything we can.
As a low elo player, what is your recommendation for finding streamer 10 mans? Should I just look at streamers until I find one? Are there any that are particularly good?
I always have carrying mentality and being good at others . after the mentality change i almost carry whole team 85 percent of time and i feel good and losing something after hard carry doesn't seem bad
I liked the video a lot, how u explain things and bringing notes!! something i think would be better for the video is if you could match your backround gameplay with your speaking!! much love!!
Sometimes, I feel like it is my teammates though and I absolutely cannot do anything about it. Ill fill, go with them, match mvp and then we’d still lose because of that 2/10 reyna or jett. Like what do I do at that point with an afk or someone who lurks every round and dies instantly
the not tensing part is kind of a no brainer. I mean in sports you shoot a basketball or kick a football you have to ne loose, in dancing: to look more graceful untensing your muscles is also required there, jeez even in rectal exams they tell you not to tense up.
I've always tensed my hand when aiming (only played fps for 2 years). My aim is shaky and inconsistent unless I aim slowly. My flicks always "bounce". I also get tired after playing for a while and my aim gets worse. If I don't tense, I struggle with micro adjustments and can barely hit a shot. Eventually I just get frustrated and go back to a tense/tight grip. Maybe it just takes time to get used to a loose grip idk.
9-3 is a lot easier than youd think tbh. The reason games are won is because sides switch, play styles change. Not everyone is good at attack, some maps are bad for attack.
Appreciate it bro! Though I have a major issue, most of the time im holding a normal peek angle and people always peek close, and when Im holding a close angle they wide swing me, it's so irritating bro! Any tips?
After using only guardian for 1 month (also the first month of playing valorant) because of Fishychair I already started cringing at my teammates crosshair placements even though we were all still bronze
Tip 1 : stop blaming bad teammates, start getting used to carrying bad teammates Tip 5 : Fuck those bad teammates, surround yourself with Good teammates.
I would never understand people who say lineups are cringe, they're putting in the work, they're learning and honing their skills. There's nothing cringe about that.
if im nearly doubling second top fragger and everyone on my team except me has lower kills than enemy, then yeah, im blaming the team, or if you get a breach who you cant kill yet he is playing for the enemy, constantly flashing and stunning you.
3:25 this is common advice that people have shelled in the cs community for years. Yeah, none of y'all are pros, and you aren't able to play VCT level setups because you don't have the experience skills and foundation, its in a team environment, where you rely on teammates. That being said, watching pro play can help you understand the meta of how to contest map control on parts of the map. This allows you to incorporate elements of that into your own game. That being said, there is a surprising amount of individual things to learn from pro demos. Might not be as useful if you're plat or diamond, sure, but definitely useful for ascendants and radiants, and anyone playing teams
1:27 As a Ex minecraft pvp player, i jitter clicked and that required tensing my arm. How long did it take you? This is my first fps game and I'm feeling a bit frustrated. I started Bronze about 5 months ago and stuck on plat for a month now.
I am comfortable with carrying, I'm just not good enough to carry. So if I'm carrying, we are losing. Ok maybe not every time I carry, sometimes the opponents are somehow worse than me so I can carry and win. And then those players invite me just to see me botfrag. Yeah I'm not actually capable of carrying, sometimes the opponents are just very predictable so I can jumpscare them repeatedly. If my teammates aren't lagging, there's no way I can carry. For the rest of you out there, play valorant to improve each time. Losses are a part of the game and it’s inevitable. Make sure that it’s also not a main part of your life so you don’t feel as bad if you derank or whatever. Have other stuff going on like other hobbies etc etc. cheers
