Out of every bad thing in this pack, I still take the most offense to the bedroom in that 3-story house that had a bed just... against the middle of the wall. And nothing else was there. I just stared at it for awhile, not believing that what I was seeing could be real, but it was. For whatever reason that single bed in the weirdest possible place was more offensive than the stairway to nowhere and the mismatched roof and that entire Magic HQ build. Like who even slept there? Who???? It's keeping me up at night, I have to keep reminding myself that it's okay, now it's a cool little alchemy/cat room for my little potion witch, the bed slammed against the wall ISN'T REAL-
DONT GET ME STARTED ON THAT HOUSE I could only sleep at night after bulldozing the entire house and redoing it. From scratch. I kept the essence of the house, but I made it better. Aesthetically pleasing and proper rooms. I am physically unable to play until I fix all the houses and builds in RoM.

Hey Kayla, I think a nice piggy back off of this video would be to do an "EA" challenge. You can either renovate an existing EA build (similar to what you did here) or start from scratch. You are limited to base game + the pack that the world comes with. You also have an item limit. This would be easier to determine if you renovate en existing EA build (count the number of objects they put and copy that). I think it would be super fun to watch! Challenging, but also to prove the point that there are so many ways to help a build look nice, even if limited by packs and items. What do you think? :)

Though in that Charm lot I think I got both done. This expac added lots of the medieval motifs. And I did a castle with 2 guard towers and a wall in front. Hey if I got into it, and I was completely new. Try it, you might be surprised. Some videos helped too.

I think the thing I am upset the most about the Sims 4 realm of magic is the fact that the garden building in the realm isn't even usable nor can you walk in it. They literally took the time to decorate it inside and you can see it, but you can't access it 😤😭

There is hope for a gallery in the future, but until then, I'm just redoing all the lots I dont like. I've gotten so much better at my builds since watching lilsimsie, and learning how to free rotate, scale, and raise/lower objects. SO MUCH BETTER
@@ocinidolegna You do have to have cheats on, and the cheat bb.moveobjects on activated. Then you can select the object, hold L2 and R2 and use the up and down arrows on the d pad. You can also make the object bigger or smaller by holding the L2 and R2 and using the left and right d pad buttons. 2 more things I found super helpful- holding L1 and R1 and using the right analog stick enabled free rotation of items and when you are placing single floor tiles, pressing the square button will toggle the quarter tiles so you can place a diagonal floor! I play on PS4, but it should work the same on XBox1 with the appropriate buttons
Your renovation looks great! I love how you redid the roofing, especially in the front middle - it definitely adds to the very mystical and enchanted vibe of the build.
It’s so beautiful! I’m so glad you included a dorm room type deal. I was so hoping that the lot would be like a magic school and was disappointed when I couldn’t find beds. I really think they could do better with the decor. Leaving it so sparse is honestly hideous and you proved that just being limited by base game and realm of magic content is no excuse for hideous builds. Great job!
I once spent maybe a collective total of 24 hours renovating this build myself using just base game and the pack, and it's now my most downloaded gallery build.

Love your reno! I spotted it right after you uploaded and spent about 8 hours further renovating it to extend the greenhouse area and give each of the Sages a private area. (The practical Sage just sleeps on a couch in the greenhouse. LOL) Also mostly just cluttering it up. I'm still not finished, but it's infinitely better than what they gave us while maintaining the vibe of the original. That big open middle space for dueling is awesome!
it would be so cool in university that you could choose the amount of people you bunk with (kinda looking like apartments in city living) like say i would want 2 roommates so automatically it would give us a bigger room with 3 beds. ya feel me?

I like this tutorial style video a lot more than the speedbuild. You gave me so many infos I never knew before. For me the only thing I could define as off was the asymmetry. But the big roof front? Teach me more
It's perfectly possible to make a build look good with tall wall heights, you just need either the very big doors and windows or a LOT of friezes and spandrels and trims and such to cover the space the small windows don't. I mostly build tall wall height houses and I think I've become fairly good at it. I find it hard to make smaller, cozy builds though so Kayla you've helped me so much with that

You know what the big triangle roof reminds me of -- when I built built houses in Sims 2 and couldn't change the roof heights or anything like that. I had a LOT of those big triangles in the early days, before switching to full hipped or whatever you call it. (I'm -- not a builder.) But your renovation looks sweet -- well worth all the blood, sweat, and tears you put into it.

I like this tutorial style video a lot more than the speedbuild. You gave me so many infos I never knew before. For me the only thing I could define as off was the asymmetry. But the big roof front? Teach me more

It's perfectly possible to make a build look good with tall wall heights, you just need either the very big doors and windows or a LOT of friezes and spandrels and trims and such to cover the space the small windows don't. I mostly build tall wall height houses and I think I've become fairly good at it. I find it hard to make smaller, cozy builds though so Kayla you've helped me so much with that

Not only did the tall roof look ridiculous, the wallpaper on it just looked to me like what bare walls look like in the Sims?? The whole building feels incredibly ridiculous and unfinished. But you've done an INCREDIBLE job, honestly thank you so much Kayla. Once I buy this pack, the first thing I'm gonna do is replace everything with your lots. ❤❤

I really appreciate you pointing out the realistic problems with roof orientation (don't let the water run down to your house!). Lots of Sims builders make that mistake and it drives me crazy!

The build had so much potential and I feel like you helped it reach that, I just wish that they could have been the ones to do that because it's you know... Their job
You know what the big triangle roof reminds me of -- when I built built houses in Sims 2 and couldn't change the roof heights or anything like that. I had a LOT of those big triangles in the early days, before switching to full hipped or whatever you call it. (I'm -- not a builder.) But your renovation looks sweet -- well worth all the blood, sweat, and tears you put into it.
