loved this song when I first bought the album in 79, an underrated period for sure, and an underrated album, the long version of Goodnight Tonight from the same period is also brilliant imo.
YES fella's! Great pick! Deep dive into WINGS please! I already enjoy your Beatles strut, and solo covers, but WINGS as a band is special. They straight out rock, or do R&B soulful tunes with plenty of horns and melody, and anything in between - you get some acoustic stuff, some artsy stuff, some creative stuff, some ballads, some love songs, McCartney has the deepest catalog in rock history. His bass in this song is sick. Another R&B classic is Silly Love Song, where his bass pounds, horns are drippin', and the soul is deep river'd. Another one too is With a Little Luck (long version), soaked in synth, Linda is killing the synths, add a killer thick bass. One more R&B great from Wings is - Goodnight Tonight (long Version), has a disco touch, but on point!
Love you Guys. I was hoping you would get to this song. Paul could do so many things. Such a great talent. He took so many risks they may not always worked out, but his creativity is unmatched. such great multi-instrumentalist.
Wow, I must've missed that one! So good. Paul's always been my favorite Beatle, he's just amazing. Love his falsetto!! Such a funky, catchy, sexy song. Thanks for reacting to it, great as usual, gentlemen!
Man, you guys get it. 🙌🏻😂😂😂. So, I'm almost 58 years old..an older Gen X'er. My brothers, who were teens when I was born ( and Boomers) turned me on the The Beatles and Stones when I was in diapers. But I was never a huge Beatles fan. I love their legendary songwriting and musicianship. But I never connected to them on a deep level. Now PUAL... Wings was more my generation, being a child in the 70's. Of all of Paul and Wings projects, Arrow Through Me is always in my top 3 favorites. You're reaction makes me understand how others hear the same greatness! 😎👍🏼
Hi guys , I’m a big Macca fan. As far as I know the origin recording was done by ‘real’ instruments like horns,. Just in the video clip the keyboards appear. Here is what’s written in Wikipedia: • Paul McCartney - vocals, keyboard bass, electric piano, clavinet[12] • Steve Holley - drums, Flexatone, drum machine • Howie Casey - horns • Tony Dorsey - horns • Steve Howard - horns • Thaddeus Richard - horns
Underrated track. Would never would have thought you'd react to this track! From his Back To The Egg album. I do like the album but most fans discard it.
One of my absolute favorite Wings songs! You guys need to react to another McCartney song titled ROUGH RIDE, you're going to absolutely love it! Also still waiting on you guys to react to the group MOTHER'S FINEST and their song TRUTH'LL SET YOU FREE from their ANOTHER MOTHER FURTHER album. It's that FUNK ROCK it's another you'll absolutely love!
This is awesome La/Che I am so glad you are getting into some Wings. I am going to have you guys react to Paul and Linda and the album Ram. Critics say that the Ram album isn’t very good. I think it’s one of there best along with the Speed of Sound. Keep on doing what you are doing it’s phenomenal.
Paul was very deeply in love with Linda and did not want to be separated when he was making or playing his music. So he taught her how to play keyboard and to harmonize in order to be with him, and she did a credible job, too. She passed from breast cancer years ago and he was crushed, but has his kids by her to provide solace. Talent oozes from him (and John and George, and even Ringo in his way).
The voice, the voice. I typed it 2x just because. BTW, he wrote dozens of bangers on his own. Couple favs, 'Maybe I'm Amazed' and 'Band On The Run'. So many more. Great stuff guys. Later..
This has been a personal favorite of mine from day one and has aged well over time, as opposed to most of the 70s Wings catalog for me. It still sounds crisp and fresh. I also loved his other duet with Stevie Wonder, What's That You're Doing?
Great Macca song, from a great album but to be clear Yoko was trained in classical piano and opera. Yoko received her musical training in Japan and at the Royal Academy of Music where she worked with Christopher Elton and won several scholarships and prizes including the Leverhulme Postgraduate Studentship. After leaving the Academy, she studied with Maria Curcio and Benjamin Kaplan. She was playing Beethoven's moonlight sonata on piano and John asked her to play the triads in reverse, which he used as the foundation to write 'Because' on Abbey Road.
Yeah, Back To The Egg is a great Wings album for the most part. Especially coming between the turds London Town and McCartney II. Didn't ever get a lot of love but it's one of my favorites. This tune, Old Siam Sir, Spin It On, Open Tonight, Getting Closer are all really good.
REPLY 2: A reiteration of "Gimme Some Truth" ... right up your alley. Maybe very, very early form of rap-esque? There's a cool video out there of him singing the tune in a studio. Brilliant words. Could not be more apropos today. SERIOUSLY!
Fellas, fellas ... how DO you find these gems? This is a deep pull, even for Wings fans. Here's one (maybe one day, you'll hit one of my recommends!) ... off Lennon's Imagine ... 1) Gimme Some Truth (relevant for the current political season), or, as a back up, 2) It's So Hard (and it IS). AND ... remember "Stop Breaking Down" (on your Exile journey)! Its on the last disc, if you fly that way ... Onward and upward ...
This is guys playing the horns and Wings man Steve Holley on the drums. Everything else was played by Paul on synth and electric piano. This is a little different from the record, so .... Who knows?
Paul plays guitar, bass, piano, keyboards, mandolin, drums, sings. Someone help me out, does Paul play the horns at all, don’t remember if I have seen him doing wind instruments. Help a brother out!
Yoko can play is way more an artist (in musical way) than Linda. She had a classical training in piano playing and made interesting stuff in proto punk and new wave.
Yoko catching strays makes me laugh. She definitely couldn't hang on songs like this... now you know why so many Beatles fans couldn't stand when they let her in the studio
YEAH!! Finally a reaction to Wings '79 album "BACK TO THE EGG"!! Love this album. May I suggest "HOPE OF DELIVERANCE" th-cam.com/video/BPJIQhjzR7g/w-d-xo.html ('92) A FUN impromptu video "PRESS" ( '86) th-cam.com/video/H8tWkDEm858/w-d-xo.html & "WHO CARES" (2018) Paul's anti-bullying song th-cam.com/video/7WOb6ePqjIE/w-d-xo.html with actress EMMA STONE. ALL 3 are very different from each other and shows his versatility again, I know you will like them all and I hope you will REACT to all 3. For "PRESS" video, make sure you read the description about it below the video that explains how it was made! I wish I had been there then! Imagine meeting PAUL McCARTNEY in the LONDON TUBE (subway) and riding it with him!! ALSO, for "WHO CARES" make sure you watch all the way to the end, there is a second of darkness after the video, but there is one more scene AFTER that darkness. I LOVE your BEATLES, WINGS, and their solo works reactions that you have done. KEEP GOING. I have many more videos I could suggest to you!!

When the Paul-setto comes out you know he isn't messing about
Paulsetto lol
True, absolutely!
I didn’t think this song would ever be Reacted to. Back to the Egg is an underrated album.
I love that term paul-setto!,,,
Can you stand how talented Paul McCartney is??? This is one of my favorites. The guy knows how to make the best songs!!!!
One of the best Wings songs you’ve likely never heard. From “Back To The Egg” a CRIMINALLY underrated album.
Facts
Unfortunately, post-Beatles Paul was held to a ridiculously high standard. Back to the Egg is great music, I don’t care what some others say.
@@GatorScribe726he needs to reissue it. You can’t find it.
Listen to Call me Back Again (live version) hear that soulful Paul vocal! Also, rare enough that it wont get demonetized
One of his best solo tracks, this is a funky groove.
Not a solo this is with Wings Back To The Egg.
Harry Stiles said this was his favorite song. So smooth.
loved this song when I first bought the album in 79, an underrated period for sure, and an underrated album, the long version of Goodnight Tonight from the same period is also brilliant imo.
It’s from Back To The Egg and he needs to reissue it.
Such a smooth tune. One of my favorite Wings songs.
What a genius!!! Love me some Paul!!! This is just one of many jewel songs on his albums that were not release as "hits" Great reaction

Paul has forgotten songs that would the top of anyone else's career. This is a great song.

I had totally forgotten about this song. I dont see how, I love this one as much as any other of their catalog
One of my favorite deep cuts of Paul, it ain't diving board deep, but it ain't the kiddie section either. 😂❤

One of McCartney's greatest. From Back to the Egg, an overlooked and final Wings album.
Great, underrated song.
That is funky
PAUL can do it all brothers! Laa and Chee!!
Never heard this. What have I been missing?! 💜💜💜
Paul has so many great songs. They go on and on and you can just keep finding them.
His entire discograhy lol
One of Wings best songs from the 1979 album Back in the egg! That song was my introduction to Wings. It has a Stevie Wonder vibe to it.
One of my absolute favorite Wings songs!

The timing is crazy the vocals and horn dropping on 3😅I love that kinda stuff
One of my favs by him....awesome tune
Love this song!
Aloha gentleman, album VENUS AND MARS. an Un sung hero. Medicine Jar, Venus and mars good sounds peace and love
So happy to see you find this song!
I’m so glad to see this, great reaction! I loved this album, I played the heck out of it!

Next play could be 'Monkberry Moon Delight' or maybe '1985' both hidden gems in the Paul catalogue. Cheers ✌
One Hand Clapping version of 1985
They've already done monkberry moon
If you like the more soulful side of Paul, You've got to check out Call Me Back Again. He wails on that track!
Oh yeah, Paul. ❤
I’ve never heard this track before, I’ve always liked his love songs, “Maybe I’m Amazed”and “The Two of Us”.

And a Vegetarian food pioneer.
Paul the funky!
Back to the Egg is an underrated album, in my opinion. Thats where this ones from.
I wore this album OUT! Great memories!
Bonzo is on Rockestra.
This lp, I was in 11th grade, was a hit and miss...to me.
Old Siam, Sir is pretty cool.
This was always one of my favorite songs of his. Why doesn't he perform it on tour?
If you want to hear Paul’s falsetto, listen to “So Bad”. You won’t believe that it’s even him.
One of my favorites from Paul. So much subtle brilliance. I'm feeling a Stevie Wonder influence on this one.
The voice, the voice. I typed it 2x just because. BTW, he wrote dozens of bangers on his own. Couple favs, 'Maybe I'm Amazed' and 'Band On The Run'. So many more. Great stuff guys. Later..
So deep, so deep, that's what I heard.
After you hear this one, those Michael joints in the 80s make more sense. My favorite McCartney tune, including Beatles catalogue.
Paul could sing his ass off back in the day.❤
McCartney tiene decenas de joyas ocultas
This has been a personal favorite of mine from day one and has aged well over time, as opposed to most of the 70s Wings catalog for me. It still sounds crisp and fresh. I also loved his other duet with Stevie Wonder, What's That You're Doing?
Must be a deep cut. Never heard this tune. That was 🔥
I forgot about this one. FIRE.
Now do, Rock Show
Definitely

SERIOUSLY!
Stevie Wonder like groove….
This sounds like a perfect song for Stevie Wonder.
Four keyboards: Paul, Linda, Lawrence and Denney.
That joint was hot as a mfer 🔥⚡️
Isn't that intro very Stevie Wonder like. I love the time signature changes.
😊❤👏🙏
you guys should explore todd rundgren's catalogue.
Fellas, fellas ... how DO you find these gems? This is a deep pull, even for Wings fans.

I read somewhere that he played a flugelhorn overdub on Dear Prudence
Those horns were played by real players , in the credits
Denny Laine … acknowledge …..
Yoko can play is way more an artist (in musical way) than Linda. She had a classical training in piano playing and made interesting stuff in proto punk and new wave.
Yoko was allegedly a classically trained pianist as a child.
‘Allegedly’ - Other than hearing the claim, I’ve never seen/heard any evidence of her piano ability.
but with her voice and music she influenced proto punk and new wave (b-52s). On Listen The Snow Is Falling she sounds beautiful.
