My wife is a really incredible guitarist and can memorize pieces on the
instrument very quickly... So once, when we were teens, I had had a
particularly bad day and couldn't sleep that night. So, knowing how much
I love classical music, she learned this piece and sat next to my bed
playing it all night until I fell asleep. I can't listen to it without
getting a little teary-eyed now.
You can tell by looking at this young lady, not only is she playing the guitar, but she is feeling every chord and note. And because of this she give her music such deep emotion. What more can I say except this is very rare to find!

Watching the grace and comfort with which her left hand moves across the fretboard is so inspiring. It's like she's not even trying, it looks so perfect and natural and I can only hope to be that good some day

After hearing her play Bach's Sarabande (BMV997) I was hooked! A performance like this really lets me 'get' the piece the first time I listen. The emotion and excitement is perfect.
I'm getting 'hooked' too. Brilliant, it somehow kindles the same spirit that I pick up in some of Chopin's music. Tarrega a favorite now and Tatyana is beyond reproach!

How can you find fault in this truly remarkable interpretation? Compared to Segovia or John Williams perhaps tiny discrepancies, but this is nothing less than perfect. Well, at least to me. Can't please everyone I suppose. :) Well done Tatyana!
Nick Robinson Nick, I prefer Tatyana interpretations over Segovia's. (I love Segovia's everything. I copied him.) Tatyana seems more mature. Her focus does not sway from the song. No fiery showing off (like I used to do.) A comparison to Billie Holliday and Ella Fitzgerald: Ella was about the singing while Billie was about the song. In this comparison, Tatyana would be Billie. And so am I. Her Capricio Arab (my signature piece), is the only rendition I prefer to my own. She brings me to tears.

I am now forever smitten with the warmth and technical clarity of this woman's playing. Her beauty and elegance in both her appearance and choice of music makes this particular guitar video one of exceptional quality. The music Francesco Tarrega is of the highest artistic caliber and is treasured by all who love the classical guitar. There is another reason for the appeal of this video in my opinion. The room it was filmed in is flooded with light that gave an ethereal feel to the sound, the exquisite black gown was strikingly visual as were the sultry expressions of a beautiful woman fully enjoying the act of musical performance. When Tatyana plays the chromatic run at 5:08 and looks in the cameras direction it was for me a delicious moment. This is the first time I've heard this Tarrega transcription and I won't forget or the great artistry of Tatyana Ryzhkova.

This is possibly my favourite composition of Francisco Tárrega but it is definitely my favourite performance. You make this intricate piece look and sound so easy, it brings joy to the heart. I canot wait to hear you play live.

The two styles aren't comparable, John Williams accompanied by the philharmonic orchestra would take some beating. His rendition of Recuerdos De La Alhambra is more true to the piece than Ana Vidovic's emotional rendition and nobody plays it like he does.
Truly understands the emotive tempo of tremolo.
Tatyana Rhzhkova is a naturally gifted musician who plays with ease, finesse and grace whilst at the same time belies the frustrating, mind numbing, finger-burning, back aching hours and weeks, months, years I know that it takes to play like this.
each time I play this it sounds better.
This is my favourite of all, it's so magical and moving I never ever tire of this performance. Very few artists hold this magic.x
