In 1968 I received an Aria Classical guitar for Christmas. I was 12 years old and had been taking lessons for two years. The last song at the end of the 3rd Hal Leonard book was El Choclo… I played this (though not nearly as perfect or arranged like this) for a crowd of several hundred to a piano accompaniment from my teacher who gave me free guitar lessons as long as I didn’t quit trumpet(lol).. I still have this guitar and have recently revived playing it. Thank you for this beautiful expression of classical music. It takes me back and newly inspires me to play.

Every time I watch her I think I'm dreaming. And I hate it when the song ends & I'm back in reality. She is as good as it gets. I love how her facial expressions reveal her feel for the music and her joy in playing.
I want to become a classical guitarist! That is my most beloved dream. I never get bored o tired of listening to you Ms. Ryzhkove. You as many other guitarists in the world inspire me to keep studying such a sublime instrument. May God bless your talent and your skill.

Do it! It takes time, discipline and hard work but as long as time will pass anyway plant some seeds for a few hours a day and see what happens over the years. One thing you must know, the guitar is not forgiving, you must give her attention.

This is a beautiful tribute. Life can't get much better than being able to listen to one of my favorite contemporary composers / arrangers as performed by one of my favorite contemporary guitarists. Rest in peace, Monsieur Dyens. I hope to take a lesson with you someday in the life after this one.

El CHoclo (also known by or meaning ----corn on the cob ( el elote ) this melody has to be a little to the old side . I was but a young lad around - 4 - 5 yrs old at the time my folks would gather with uncles and aunts to play their instruments ( guitars, sax, piano, trumpet, violin, you name it ) I'll be 71yrs in a month but this song took me back 65 - 66 yrs back when life was about a dream. in 2 min. I became a young lad back again. mercy ! gracias, danke rbrt callis usa ( choclo also means shoe in slang term )

I'm wondering about the people who give thumbs down ! ? Who's sense of musical esthetics is so distorted that might not love the way Tatyana plays and the assortment of the music and composers is just superb.
I'd like to hear those thumbdowners play those finger breakers she can play with Effortless Effort without frauning on her face.
She is one of the best individuals who came out of Russia to be really appreciated.
Jet Junior Jetseter, she IS a tremendous guitar player, there isn't absolutely any doubt about that, but here, what she's playing is not tango. Tango has (or is) a soul and imo she's missed the whole thing.
Find here on YT ans listen Roland Dyens'own rendition ( after all, she has chosen HIS arrangment ), you'll understand what i mean.

I can't tell you how many times I've listened to this. I first found it about a year ago and still continue to listen to it and, key word here, attempt, to play it to a similar degree. It'll be a long time before I'm at her level, if I ever manage to get there. Fabulous playing Tatyana. You're definitely one of my favorite guitarists
