When you use a lathe, the proper term is “turning” like “I turned down this part to .625” I’ve been a manual Machinist for 10 years and was classically and formally trained as such, that being stated, I really dig your video, and your blaster collection, I am currently looking for a functional C96 to Build one of my own to be able to shoot live ammo through
Scott I was wondering where can I get a DL-44 Blaster ANH Version already assembled and functioning lights and sound. It has to look like the real deal and not a Cheap Halloween Toy?
Recently I have gone frame by frame of Luke on Bespin showing his blaster. The best scene is when Boba Fett is shooting at him. I did screen shots of that scene and have come to the conclusion that ON SCREEN, his blaster does NOT have the motor/coil greeblie at the left rear over the Mauser rectangle. The ONLY greeblie on his blaster is the single center one. And promotional photos of Luke holding his blaster must have been PRIOR to filming. Just like the ones with Han and his shorter hair. What get's me is so many people are also saying is Luke's blaster had two different scope mounts. Technically that's true but they all keep saying one is a Dagobah blaster and the other a Bespin blaster. That's not true. When Luke turns and points his blaster at Yoda, you can CLEARLY see the single large knob scope mount. The same mount he had when Fett was shooting at him. HOWEVER, when Luke is pulling himself onto the catwalk after being sucked out the giant shattered window, his blaster is holstered and you can CLEARLY see the scope mount is the TWO screw (Jedi style) scope mount. I believe this is the rubber prop and dince Luke NEVER fired his blaster in ESB, that might remain a mystery. Also, I would love for someone to link to me any pictures showing that three screw disc mount everyone keeps calling the Hoth blaster. Again I looked at the ONE AND ONLY scene that Han uses his blaster on Hoth (probe droid) and went frame by frame every time that blaster was on screen and at NO time does it show that three screw disc mount. In fact, if you pause the movie on the right frame when Han ducks the first time after shooting the droid, you can actually see the side of large knob on the mount. So whoever said the three screw disc mount is the one used on Hoth, I say...PROVE IT! Even all the publicity photos show the large knob mount and no three screw disc mount.
+scottjua Nice. I have just found a nice looking and relatively inexpensive replica of the Mauser, so I am thinking of getting it and "upgrading" it to Luke's blaster. Not sure where I get parts though, might let them be 3D printed. Although it would be a shame since the Replica is metal.

Looks great I have a real German Mouser 96 and Luger to and got my 96 decked out to.
Thanks! You should be able to squeeze some electronics in it for sure. It's a little challenging, but doable.
I like the Greedo killer. Is it light? How heavy is it?

Awesome collection, great references. Thank you!
+BlackBunik Thanks I need to do a follow up. Some have been improved or replaced. Maybe in a couple of months.

I'd search for bobadebt's run parts on the rpf. I'm sure there will be extras.
you are the DL- GURU
These are great do you still make them?
Hey Scott, do your real M19 scopes have a wire running around the light port? I got a replica from DEC, its spot-on, but whats with that wire?
+DamionChrist Yes all the real ones do have the wire.
Can you ever make a T-21 Heavy Blaster or E-11 blaster?
+Sterbuks -tf2 Done E11 already, but not T21
Are those all modified C96 Mausers?
All modified replicas. I have only one real C96 blaster for now.
scottjua PHEW, you saved yourself at that last sentence. It'd be absolutely crazy to own that many DL44's and not have an actual Mauser C96.
Amazing as always
Where do you get the parts for these???
+Joseph Cook Found parts, and various people do runs of parts, or I make parts myself.
Impressive!
Can I buy one?
