The same old incorrect advice from a company that's more interested in selling tyres. The most important factor in aquaplaning is speed - even a brand new tyre can suffer from aquaplaning if the speed is too high. Try driving the car with low tread depth more slowly and see what happens.

When tyre lifts off onto the water , fuel efficiency is increase because of the reduced drag increase the lifespan of the cars tyre and car's components from reduced load.
But if you didn't try to steer so aggressively vs how gently you steered with the new tires... this isn't really a test anymore. Its more of a, what happens if you steer harshly vs gently on a slippery road.
You had adequately demonstrated that a shallow tread depth is better because it keeps you going straight, and doesn't let you swerve. The opposite of your intended point.
Looked like the car on the left had a lot less water on the road too. I'm not convinced, i think you just wish to sell more tyres. Especially when you quoted "current legal limit" are you trying to push legislation to change the legal limit, to therefore sell more tyres. All in the name of safety.
This is not a good video because they make it seem like the whole road needs to be flooded to experience aqua planing when aqua planing can in fact happen even with very little water on the road.

You can minimize the risk by not driving on flooded test tracks...
Sometime it cannot be avoided, so to minimize the risk of accident is to drive slowly.
Sometimes it cannot be avoided to drive a little bit to fast.

Not a single mentioning about simply driving slower and more carefully when there's much water/rain on the roads.
If you are going slow already then it's only a tyres matter
You can acquaplan even at 50km/h
But the Aguaplaning capable tires give me more Speed :)

i had hydroplaning happen at 80 got control of that and then aquaplaned at 60 happened on the same drive today.
