Thanks to Andrii for convincing me to go there on that day, it was a blast! We've met Terry and Dan who are in skateboard slalom and otherwise long-time skateboarders with huge collections and experience - we've tried each other's rigs, and had a nice chat. I've learned that I need to watch Dogtown and Z-Boys - somehow I've completely missed this piece of history.

Yeah!! Nice day in Beantown! That pumptrack looks awesome too!
Thank you! A bit crowded though :)
Is that a rear view mirror on your helmet? I ride bike paths as they're the nicest condition place I can pump, and I've seen bikers with em. I actually think that'd be really handy so I can see bikers coming before they pass without saying left!
Also great vid 🤙
Thank you, yes, I've initially picked up the idea from Marty Backe for Electric Unicycle use, it takes some time to get used to look into it and re-focus the eye, also on second thought in sideways stance I'd rather mounted it on the rear foot side of the helmet, but indeed when I don't forget to glance into it, it's helpful to be aware.
It might be too small and also I had to bend the rod to put it where I want - I've got 2-pack www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07P5Y4KND

Like my beautiful

Hi there,
I was wondering about your setup, how did you run those huge wheels. What kind of trucks and risers/bushing did you use for this? Did you change the bushings of the rail adapter as well?
I’m interested to replicate. Big wheels are fun!
Hello, thank you for watching and your questions!
The deck and trucks: The board is 2nd hand $65 craigslist sourced "Sector 9 Blue Wave Lookout dropthrough Complete Longboard Skateboard, 9.6-Inch x 42.0-Inch" with 10" gullwing charger RKP trucks. I like 10" more than 9" for sideways stability at this height. The height with Waterborne becomes too uncomfortable for many people I've met who are used to lower decks and less wiggly setups.
Truck bushings: I swapped bushings to Orangatang Knuckles but it wasn't necessary. 97mm wheels bite the deck at extreme angles if the front is too lose, so I had to tighten the front.
Waterborne rail adapter: on stock white bushings
Wheels: 97mm Cal7 knockoffs of ABEC11 Flywheels. They're round and not chunking, if you mind the budget $30 is a good price to pay vs $90+ for ABEC11. I finally got ABEC11's from buy-sell-trade conf, however didn't use them in comparable setup to judge. I've eventually switched to bracket board and training my pushing technique - regular and mongo.
Hi,have you tried a longboard with c7?thanks
I've tried CX in part of this build th-cam.com/video/hAXREBz4MeA/w-d-xo.html
and also rear CX on G|Bomb brackets - as front was too narrow/biting th-cam.com/video/Y9XuO1mq33E/w-d-xo.html
It's an interesting idea to try C7 indeed. With Waterborne I can use bigger wheels without extra spacers.
