It's so cool how they're still eating something similar to this day. I'm totally going to try these. I love sweets and the mersu sound very yummy. I'd definitely bring these to work with me as a snack. You look like you thoroughly enjoyed the mersu. I love sweet things. I loved the transitions. It's interesting how we're still discovering new things about history around the world. I'm excited for more Greek and Roman content. I'm a big fan of Greek and Roman myths and history. It was really fun watching you make the mersu and hearing some facts about Mesopotamia and its diverse cultures at the same time. I also find it fascinating that mersu is still made today (maybe not using the same exact recipe, but still)! And as with the Roman bread recipe, you looked like you really enjoyed taking that first bite of the finished product, the fruits (and nuts? lol) of your labor.
Those looked so yummy! I'm so impressed how you take these recipes that tell you the bare minimum and make them work! I would absolutely break somthing if I tried that lol It's always fun how you sprinkle the history facts into the video as you cook and explain the recipe.
I really loved when you were talking about "new history" and the bias of available materials. Like you're absolutely right. We could discover something world shaking tomorrow. You never know what will get uncovered next!
