@@sharkscrapper hey sir I was wondering if you would mind giving your email. The reason is so I can send of a couple of pictures of some motherboards to you so you can tell me what I need to take off so I can sell them to board sort. I took off the heat sink also cpu's, and have other stuff. I also have some gold finger parts I'd like you to look at. Thank you sir
I'm going to have to check back on the comments to see what Chris says about the gold fingered backplane board. I've got a few of those myself and was wondering about them, too.
The eprom chips sale for the same as the IC chips on board sort. You'd think being they have gold in them they'd pay a little more. Im still green at this so I dont know much lol
In truth, there is no reason to keep the separated. I do it more out of habit than anything else. The scrap value is the same because all the refiners care about is getting the gold from them. Hope my videos are helping with your scrap journey Adam.
I'm not sure what you're asking? "freight boards"? I frequently ship material to places like BOARDSORT.COM and have done some videos showing how to package them up and complete the online order form. Look for my playlist "Selling to BOARDSORT". If you're asking something different please let me know.
That was a pretty heat sink! I'm watching a backlog of Canadian Treasure Hunter's videos and 1.5 weeks ago he started cashing in his non-ferrous hoard. Are copper and other metals particularly high for you as well? (Maybe you talked about it in the live stream which I missed.. 😅)
That was a pretty heat sink. Cu is starting to come up here, but more slowly than many other places. I'm still holding most of my Cu back in anticipation of more increases. Aluminum is also rising but I take that in all the time.
8:19 Yes, before the trimming I would have bought that as a Gold Finger Card No Bracket.
Sweet, thanks
love when i look in the glass and see gold
It is a very nice surprise.
11:20 Yes, you can put that in Gold RAM. It is "cache" ram, aptly known as "cache on a stick" popular in the Pentium era of pc computing.
Cache on a stick 🤣 I need to remember that one.
Nice tear down
thanks
Nice video my friend
Ide and old pics very hardtop find now
Such is the way of old scrap. But so nice when we find them.
Yes backplane would go as Gold finger card. Throw that Memory stick in memory.
Hey wait, you're not Chris 🤣
@@sharkscrapper I know more than him
In an age when pcs were built like battle ships interesting to see its value as scrap
*big like👍Au💯always a total watch👀*
They certainly were built well and sturdy.
Your in a Business where older is most of the time better 👍👍👍👍
Very true

I'm looking forward to his feedback as well.

It was a fun scrap. At $42.50/lb Black Fiber CPU's are all that bad 🤣
depending on the era older pc parts actually sell for a decent price on ebay now
Hey Froggy, yeah I've had some hit/miss experience selling vintage components on eBay. The potential is there if one has the time.

Definitely helping me out buddy ! I'm learning slowly but surely
Do you ever freight boards? Maybe a video idea.

I mean using a trucking company to ship a 1000 pounds worth of circuit boards on a pallet.
