Thank you for enduring the, eh... let's be generous and call it the "quirkiness" of this game. It's certainly interesting to watch and follow along, especially now that you are finally able to explore a little bit more of the factory aspects of the game.
@Nilaus @32:04 - there is no merger on the northside of the right most Iron Smelter. @39:13 - the smelter has an icon indicating it is full and cannot smelt any more.
I mixed all my ores into two lines. If you can pull raw regolith in one one belt, you can definitely take everything (even w/ multiple refineries chained) out on 2 belts + slag. It also makes the refineries fit together with 3 spaces between.
FYI: You'll want to build a lot of capacity for certain items to complete the laser gun mission, smart concrete in the 3k, components in mid 1k, silicon, also mid 1k and that without using materials to build other materials. Slag is going to become a problem material over time and only the smart concrete factory and farms use it, so building up a large number of factories simply to balance the slag output early on will help you get the 3k smart concrete for the laser gun early and aid in slowing slag build up over time.
As far as I can tell, the real trick with the laser mission is to just make it not trigger. Just blow off the medical block and it just...won't start. It's ridiculously cheesy, but it gives you time to scale.
mixed belts seem to be a thing with this game... you can hook up many different storages or sources and destinations on a single belt. There is also a mixed storage that can be used as a control point. you can even daisy chain the airport and truck depot for delivery of items using a mixed belt... then have it come out on a mixed belt and have it sort out all the items into individual storages... =D
By the way, but maybe you already know, but batteries can be built inside the Moon. And if you install them indoors, you won't need to connect them with wires.
This is so cool, one thing though one of the belt on the first smelter for steel the belt coming out is not connected. Can't wait for more of this game hope you have a great day
Loving this series.. Looking forward to the next episode... Would you consider a sandbox run after.. With a lot of funds.. Allocating extra credits to buy bots for the start/mid game.. Full on factory style.. 💚💚
When you unlock the belt upgrades the quick select tool auto picks the highest level unlocked. Watch out you don't waste credits on unnecessary belts as production wont match belt capacity.
with the epic art work they make for every site discovery.. i think they should make it full screen at least to see all the detail... or a little cinematic? what ya'll think?
Yeh, that's a much better design. The only catch is you need to ensure you don't run out of storage. I've also found it's not worth tying the manufacturing to the smelters. The volume is so low, the drones can handle is easily.
Question: Does ANYBODY know what the Repeater actually does? I cannot find any description anywhere. It is early in the Tech tree but seems to have no purpose?
"Nilaus trying not to make a main bus for maximum efficiency" challenge, difficulty: impossible. You can take Nilaus out of Captain of Industry but you can't take the Captain of Industry out of Nilaus.
At 33m, you rejected a spot that looked expensive, but it was actually a pickup :)
Not sure if you fixed it off camera. The most Right Iron smelter at the "main bus" is not connected at the outbound side to the belt.
Not sure if you misread the poi you found with the rare earth metals. It was a pickup not a delivery. Almost 1000 materials is really valuable.

yeah I tried the game and it definitely needs more time in the oven. it's fun to watch people play it though.

I am not sure if @Nilaus is ready for sushi belts in his base :)

it will even setup your sorters for you if you build the destination(s) before building the source(s).
Dont leave the product on the belts. The Drones dont pick up from the belts.
Cant wait to see where this will end up, very solid base game to build on.
Remember you can buy full loads of steel and concrete very cheaply when you need to jump-start your progress.

Yay more The Crust!
I am seeing some parallels to early to midgame ONI in the sense that cuts make this much more entertaining to watch.
Hah! I knew it was only a matter of time before you started building a main bus. 🤣

Not all deposits can be doubled up but it’s something to lookout for :-)

It's a bit funny, how the most expensive thing when building a lunar base seems to be conveyor belts - and by a large margin...

you forgot to connect the output to the main buss
Id rather dump everything but the slag on one belt, then sort it down the line, sorter is every single connection.

yay
11:26 does Active Contracts 0/3 mean anything useful?
ETA: nope, it just means you could have 3 contracts active but have none active now.
If i noticed correctly one of the iron smelthers is set to silicon 🤔
You don’t need to have a space between a box and a facility
How have you got so many exploration expeditions on global map lol mine stops after a few turn up and I can never find any more 😂
Question: Does ANYBODY know what the Repeater actually does? I cannot find any description anywhere. It is early in the Tech tree but seems to have no purpose?
it puts POI's out on the lunar map that you can explore with a rover (or two+)
I feel like they really drop me in the deep end and i dont know how to scale up Because im out of cash
Give meee moreeee episodeeeesss

O shit. Here we go .
It's not a good game. I smell a bit of a cash grab on the Early access, where team has put in the time, but will not finish.
I don't know, they seem to be pushing out updates pretty consistently so far, but we will see!
I hope so. Just feel like didnt get the value for my money, so much to improve.
What's this? There's PEOPLE at the factory? Disgusting
